Chapter 22 — Romantic Epilogue: Arin & Meira's Married Life
The morning sun spilled across their apartment, golden and soft.
Arin stirred in bed, stretching lazily. Meira was already in the kitchen, humming as she made breakfast.
"You're up late today," she teased when he entered, rubbing his eyes.
"I had a meeting," he said, smiling faintly.
"Some habits die hard."
Meira set a plate of eggs and toast before him.
"I like that you still keep some order," she said softly.
"It's… comforting."
Arin took a sip of coffee, glancing at her with a warmth he rarely allowed himself to show.
"I like that you're here," he said quietly.
"Always."
They laughed over small things, joked, shared silent moments. It was ordinary, mundane—but for Arin, it was everything.
Later, Nivaan ran into the room, giggling. Arin scooped him up, spinning him gently.
"Daddy!" the boy squealed.
"You're growing too fast," Arin said, laughing softly.
Meira watched them, a smile touching her eyes.
Arin felt the past press lightly at the edges of his mind—but it no longer controlled him. He had love, trust, and a life he built with care.
He kissed Meira's forehead, holding her hand.
"We did this," he whispered.
"Together."
And in the quiet apartment, with the warmth of his family around him, Arin finally felt whole.
