"Trash. Absolute trash."
I threw the book across the bed and pointed at it like it owed me money.
"This novel is so stupid. I swear something is wrong with the writer. Maybe she's going through a breakup or her partner cheated, because why on earth would anyone write something this useless?"
The protagonist had golden fingers, a powerful system, plot armour thicker than a Federal Government lie, and instead of doing something meaningful… the idiot spent all his time following women up and down. Mothers, teachers, nurses, students, the school beautyeverybody.
The main character wasn't even a hero. He was a certified manwhore.
And don't even get me started on his harem. One of them, the daughter of some big CEO, broke off her engagement with the Dragon Sect leader because "he was a womanizer." The guy even promised he'd stop once they got married. But what did this brainless girl do? She left him for a man with more than ten wives already.
Girl. Your stupidity is immeasurable.
"Anyway…" Long Tian muttered, standing up. He stretched lazily, like someone who had already decided life wasn't worth the stress. He walked into the bathroom, rubbing sleep from his eyes.
He needed to hurry. Mr. Zhou was handling class today, and Tian did not want to enter that man's blacklist. Once you enter, you never come out.
Tian left the bathroom, grabbed his bag, and headed to the living room. He paused for a moment and looked at the family picture on the wall. The frame was old, the picture slightly faded, but he still smiled at it.
"Goodbye," he whispered, touching the frame lightly before rushing out.
"Ha! Anan!"
Tian turned and saw Mrs. Chi, the elderly woman who sold snacks by the roadside.
"Take some meat buns!"
"No need, Mrs. Chi! I'm in a hurry!" he shouted, already halfway down the street.
"Don't forget you have to bring Lulu back from the hospital today!"
Tian stopped so fast he nearly slid on the ground.
"Shit…" he mumbled. He almost forgot. To get Lulu back, he needed certain documents.
He ran back towards his house, but before he could even step inside, Mrs. Chi held out a stack of papers like she had been waiting the whole time.
"Here you go," she said with a proud smile. "I took them last time I visited to help you with chores. I knew you would forget."
"Thank you so much, Mrs. Chi. Honestly, if you weren't married, I would put a ring on your finger. How can you be so beautiful and kind at your age?" he said, hugging her.
Paaaa!
A slap landed on the back of his head.
Tian turned around instantly.
Mr. Chi was standing there holding a broom like a warrior ready to defend his honor.
"You little brat! You want to take my wife?!"
"It's not my fault you're becoming old!" Tian yelled while already running away. "Beautiful people belong with young people!"
"You brat! Don't let me catch you!" Mr. Chi shouted, chasing after him. But he was laughing, his broom waving in the air like a flag.
Tian darted down the street, clutching the papers and trying not to trip.
