Tania feared her reaction was too obvious, so she quickly added a few more sentences:
"Why did you say that? Didn't we promise to keep it a secret? How is doing this worthy of that ill-fated couple?"
Tarha was choked up to the point where his face turned from green to pale: "Nonsense, do you think we will believe these stories you people made up?"
"Whether it is fabricated or not, Black Bear Chief, you should know better than anyone. When they fled, their hands were tightly clasped, never letting go. Do any Beastmen treat each other like that?" Dante seemed to have found evidence and was no longer afraid.
Tarha recalled that it was indeed true. Those two had leaned very close to each other while fleeing, their hands never separating; it was not at all how normal Beastmen behaved.
"This matter is indeed difficult to explain."
Raison saw Tarha's reaction and believed it a bit more: "Did you really see it?"
Tarha did not want to admit it.
