Julian knew that Daddy had endeavored to dedicate the absolute best things to Papa. He had also been very serious in joining Daddy to protect that person, responding to and satisfying every single requirement of his—regardless of whether it was reasonable or not, they complied with his wishes.
Ultimately, however, what was exchanged for all that effort was merely a single sentence: that man still preferred the beastman who had grown up alongside him since childhood, and he begged Julian's Daddy to grant him his freedom.
But simply because he was an Omegina, no matter what he did, it was considered right. Because Julian's Daddy could not keep him, Daddy was branded as incompetent and useless. In the end, he became a laughingstock for the entire tribe.
No matter how dissatisfied Julian felt, he could not vent his anger upon an Omegina.
For this very reason, Borion did not care whether there were outsiders present or not, and felt he could trample upon his self-esteem at will.
