Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: Forming a Small Group, the Future Core

Ye Tian didn't pay much attention to Jin Yue'er's casual remark. After a moment of contemplation, he had another small idea.

Currently standing with him were undoubtedly the most talented individuals in Spirit Hall. Although Jin Yue'er's innate talent remained unknown, her identity was special. It could be said that if Spirit Hall had a future, it would lie with these people. Whoever had strengths would gain immense benefits and influence within this small group.

According to the original trajectory, Qian Renxue and Hu Liena would be divided into two factions with internal conflicts. For any organization, this was a hidden danger that could lead to decline or even destruction. Therefore, what Ye Tian wanted to do now was to unite them into a small group before conflicts arose—a group connected through him as the bond.

This way, while remaining outside the core circle, he could easily influence Spirit Hall's decisions without bearing any burdens. This was undoubtedly the most comfortable state. If achievable, it wouldn't be without benefits for Spirit Hall. Perhaps the grievances between the older generation, like Bi Bi Dong and Qian Xunji, would dissipate unnoticed in Qian Renxue's generation.

Thus, holding sufficient influence in a dominant power without vicious competition would bring Ye Tian immeasurable gains. The key was that this was essentially a primitive stock—low risk, minimal investment, and high returns. Ye Tian clearly understood that he already had the foundation to establish a future core small group for Spirit Hall; the only cost now might be a bit of time.

Even if the group unfortunately split later, neither side would likely target him, and he could still maintain considerable influence. Ye Tian thought through many scenarios, even considering how to continue his plans if he couldn't inherit a God Position. But his thoughts moved swiftly.

In reality, Ye Tian merely glanced at Hu Liena and then at Qian Renxue before instantly making a decision. He smiled calmly. "Little Xue, I plan to take Nana and the others to a restaurant. Would you like to join us?"

"Go to a restaurant?" Faced with Ye Tian's sudden invitation, Qian Renxue was slightly dazed. She glanced at Hu Liena and immediately understood. "Sure! Yue'er is already hungry, and I haven't had lunch either."

"Yes, I've been hungry for a while," Jin Yue'er chimed in, holding her stomach and nodding repeatedly.

"Good! Then let's split into two groups. You and Yue'er go together, and we'll meet at booth nine in Saint Soul Winery," Ye Tian arranged with a nod.

"No problem," Qian Renxue agreed after a moment's hesitation, looking at Ye Tian with some surprise.

"Then it's settled. We'll see you later," Ye Tian smiled, waved to Qian Renxue and Yue'er, and slowly left with Hu Liena and the others.

Qian Renxue watched Ye Tian's retreating figure until Jin Yue'er suddenly leaned in, blocking her view. "Sister Xue, why did Ye Tian want us to split into two groups?" she asked, full of confusion.

"For safety," Qian Renxue replied softly, withdrawing her gaze.

Even she herself had almost forgotten that she was actually already "dead."

At the very least, that was what the Spirit Hall's official statement claimed.

Her identity had always been top secret.

Normally, when she wandered around the Central Divine Mountain within the area of the elders' residences with the equally reclusive Yue'er, it was fine.

But down the mountain, there were many eyes and ears.

Ye Tian's arrangements made perfect sense—after all, he was the Saintess's disciple.

Inevitably, he would attract prying eyes.

"Safer?"

Jin Yue'er furrowed her brows and nodded, seeming to understand but not entirely.

Coincidentally, Xie Yue had asked Ye Tian the same question.

Ye Tian's reply was naturally identical to Qian Renxue's.

Even if there were "eight hundred armed guards" in the shadows, Ye Tian still had to avoid any potential trouble as much as possible.

Qian Renxue could no longer see Ye Tian's retreating figure.

Gazing at her good friend, Qian Renxue's eyes held a probing look.

"Yue'er, you just said you love Ye Tian the most?"

"Ah? Did I say that..."

Jin Yue'er blinked, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

Qian Renxue couldn't help but freeze for a moment.

Fortunately, without any reminder from her, a trace of realization dawned in Jin Yue'er's eyes.

"Ah! I think I did say something like that."

"..."

Qian Renxue helplessly massaged her forehead.

She felt there was no need to ask further, but she still needed an answer—even if it might be somewhat absurd.

Qian Renxue composed herself and asked slowly, "Yue'er, why did you say something like that? Aren't you afraid others will misunderstand?"

"Why should I be afraid?"

Jin Yue'er looked utterly bewildered.

"I do love Ye Tian! As long as he gives me pills, I'll love him!"

"You love Ye Tian's pills, don't you..."

Qian Renxue was speechless.

"Sister Xue, what's the difference?"

Jin Yue'er retorted, her eyes filled with intense curiosity and a faint glow.

"Is there anyone else in the world who can make such pills?"

"..."

Qian Renxue fell silent.

It seemed Yue'er had truly said it offhandedly.

Or perhaps, Yue'er was so carefree that she could conflate the two—even to the point of pledging lifelong devotion to Ye Tian!

But wasn't that a form of purity in itself?

"Ye Tian is right," Qian Renxue murmured softly.

"Even love differs from love—how could liking and loving be the same?"

Having received Jin Yue'er's ambiguous answer, she didn't feel relieved or happy, nor was she particularly upset.

It was an indescribable, vague emotion, hovering between contentment and irritation.

"Sister Xue?"

Jin Yue'er waved her small hand in front of Qian Renxue's face.

Qian Renxue snapped back to reality.

She reached out, took Jin Yue'er's hand, and said with a smile, "Yue'er, let's go. No matter what, we'll check it out first!"

Before the words faded, Qian Renxue pulled Jin Yue'er into a run, a faint smile on her face.

Those words were for Yue'er, but also for herself.

Just as Ye Tian had said, companionship is the longest confession of love—leave everything to time.

There will come a day when all truths are revealed!

Not just between her and her mother...

"Sister Xue, slow down! My soles are going to wear out~"

Jin Yue'er was practically being dragged along by Qian Renxue.

"Run faster~ We'll sneak in ahead of time."

"Haha, alright!"

Not long after, Ye Tian brought Hu Liena and the others to the Saint Soul Winery and reserved a private room.

The moment the door opened.

The three little ones who had been looking around since entering the winery immediately raised their heads.

"Brother Tian, what a huge... chandelier!" Yan couldn't help exclaiming.

Ye Tian shot him a meaningful glance. What an elegant way to pause mid-sentence!

It was still pleasant to hear though.
