Chapter 507: Tang Kun: Brother, Try Harder! Wu Shenyun Is Angry!
"This brother is living it up! I need to hurry and deliver more food so I can live even better than him!"
Tang Kun turned to leave, shaking his head as he muttered to himself, "No more delivery tasks during my break. First, I'll buy a villa, then I'll make Zhou Luyao regret it. She'll be chasing me to the crematorium."
'Oh, right. Tomorrow night is the two-year university reunion,' he remembered, a wide grin stretching across his face. 'When the time comes, I'll definitely make those who looked down on me, especially Zhou Luyao, regret everything!'
He was lost in his triumphant fantasy, completely unaware that in the presidential suite just behind him, Zhou Luyao, the very goddess he yearned for, was with another man. If Tang Kun knew the truth, what kind of devastation would shatter his fragile world?
Shen Anyu watched him go, a faint, predatory smile playing on his lips. He was quite expectant. He planned to utterly annihilate Tang Kun's mental defenses, to break his spirit so completely that he could seize every last drop of his destiny value. The stage was set. Just as Tang Kun was dreaming of the moment he would slap Zhou Luyao with his success and make her regret her choices…
…
Meanwhile, on the far side of the country.
At the summit of the mountain housing the Blood Gu Sect's main altar in Southern Xinjiang, the world was silent save for the wind.
Wu Shenyun stood at the cliff's edge, her crimson robes fluttering like blood against the stone. She stared blankly at the sea of clouds rolling and unrolling before her, but her eyes saw nothing of the breathtaking landscape. Instead, scenes flickered violently through her mind, phantoms of a dream she couldn't escape.
Vivid red lanterns hung high from unseen eaves. The character for 'double happiness' was plastered everywhere, a joyous, crimson explosion. A handsome man, impossibly so, dressed in the magnificent red robes of a groom, gently lifted a silken veil. His voice was a tender whisper that echoed in her soul, "My dear wife~"
Beneath that veil, she saw herself. Adorned with a shimmering phoenix coronet and wrapped in exquisitely embroidered robes, her beauty was otherworldly, a celestial masterpiece brought to life under the soft glow of wedding candles.
Then, in a dizzying flash, the scene shattered and reformed.
She was in a grand palace. A voice, laced with menace, hissed, "Empress Dowager, you wouldn't want the young emperor to be killed, would you?"
The world dissolved again. She was on the deck of a colossal sinking ship, the icy wind whipping at her. A young man with a desperate, passionate gaze clutched her hands. "Rose, I'm Jack. If you jump, I jump too."
Another blink. A cartoonish landscape unfolded. A blue goat was speaking with grave seriousness. "Meiyangyang, I, Lanyangyang, am not pretending anymore."
"Yingtai…" a voice choked with sorrow called out.
"Shanbo…" Wu Shenyun cried out, the name torn from her own lips. Her beautiful face, framed by phoenix-like eyes that had witnessed the fall of masters, was streaked with tears. She was completely immersed in the heart-wrenching tragedy of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, sacrificing themselves for a love that could not be, their souls transforming into a pair of butterflies.
If the Blood Gu Sect Master and his elders were still alive, they would have been paralyzed with disbelief. That this peerless goddess, this harbinger of their destruction, could be brought to tears by a mortal story—it was unthinkable.
"Who? Who is it?!"
The next moment, she snapped back to reality. The grief was gone, replaced by a volcanic surge of shame and indignation.
"I'm going to kill him!!!"
An aura of terrifying proportions erupted from her slender frame. It was a pillar of raw, incandescent power that shot into the heavens, punching a hole through the dense canopy of clouds. The sky screamed. The very air for miles grew thick and heavy, charged with a murderous pressure that cracked the ancient stones at her feet. The entire mountain peak groaned and trembled violently, threatening to collapse into the abyss below as fissures raced across its surface.
Wu Shenyun's rage instantly ripped through the tranquility of the Blood Gu Sect's conquered altar. The Grandmaster of the Blade, Wu He, and the other powerful experts who had submitted to her, were jolted from their rest. Their senses screamed in alarm. One by one, they streaked through the air like panicked arrows, materializing before her and dropping to their knees on the shuddering ground.
"Your Honored One!" they cried out in unison, their heads bowed low.
These were formidable individuals, masters in their own right, who had been subdued by Wu Shenyun's terrifying combination of otherworldly grace and absolute might. But now, their minds were reeling with shock and utter confusion. What could possibly have driven this crimson-clad goddess into such a terrifying rage?
Even when she had faced the Blood Gu Sect Master, that heinous Heavenly Gu Master who had ruled Southern Xinjiang with an iron fist, she had been the picture of calm. She had snuffed out his life as casually as one might blow out a candle, her movements light, her expression serene, displaying a grace that was as lethal as it was peerless.
But now? Her breathtaking face was flushed, not with the delicate blush of a maiden, but with the searing heat of absolute fury.
They didn't know—couldn't possibly comprehend—that the flush on Wu Shenyun's face was born not only from anger but also from a profound, burning shame that scalded her from the inside out.
Scene after scene from the dream replayed in her mind, a relentless assault on her composure. They refused to fade, taunting her with their absurdity and intimacy. She, who had always been as pure as glacial ice and as untouched as flawless jade, had been desecrated, teased, and violated in the sanctity of her own mind by a strange man. The shame and indignation were so intense they felt like a physical poison, exploding through her veins.
She had just established the Shaman God Cult. In her first act, she had crushed the Blood Gu Sect, the long-standing overlord of Southern Xinjiang. It was a monumental victory. Not only had she successfully avenged her parents and her family, but she was also perfectly poised to sweep through the entire region with unstoppable momentum. And yet, at the very peak of her triumph, she had been subjected to this.
Whoever did this to her, he had to die. There would be no other outcome.
'He must be killed!!!'
Wu Shenyun clenched her slender hand into a fist. The air within her grasp did not compress; it imploded, creating a small, silent vacuum that warped the space around it. Her phoenix-like eyes were no longer just beautiful; they were honed into points of lethal light, sharper than any blade.
Those constantly shifting scenes… they were no mere dream. She was certain of it. Someone was playing tricks, using some unspeakable art to invade her consciousness.
'A Gu Master? A sorcerer skilled in dream arts? Or something else entirely…?'
Her beautiful eyes sharpened as possibilities raced through her mind. One guess after another surfaced, only to be discarded. But it didn't matter. No matter who it was, no matter what methods they used, she would not let them go.
How dare he humiliate her like this! How dare he!
The Grandmaster of the Blade, Wu He, and the others remained kneeling, their bodies trembling uncontrollably. Fear, cold and sharp, pierced their hearts. They didn't understand why their impossibly powerful Honored One was so enraged, but they felt the fallout of that rage in every fiber of their being. Large beads of cold sweat, like soybeans, popped out on their foreheads, tracing panicked trails through the dust on their skin. The pressure she was emitting was a physical weight, threatening to crush their very bones.
Wu Shenyun's face was an icy mask of lethality. Her gaze fell upon Wu He and the others, and the coldness in her eyes made them flinch.
"Go quickly to Hangzhou and search for a…"
Wu He and the others tensed, ready to bow in obedience, but the command hung unfinished in the air. A dreadful silence followed. They didn't dare look up, keeping their heads lowered respectfully, their ears straining for the rest of her orders.
Wu Shenyun's delicate brows furrowed slightly. In that moment of fury, she realized the devastating truth: everything in the dream was like a reflection in a mirror or the moon in water—blurry, indistinct, and impossible to grasp. The specific appearance of the scoundrel who had desecrated her mind had already faded from her memory. All she could recall was a powerful impression: he was extremely handsome, and very, very young.
Even the name 'Hangzhou' was just an unintentional whisper she'd overheard from the man in that chaotic dreamscape.
Only the feelings remained. The shame, the anger, the phantom touch of his words—they still swept through her entire body, making even her slender fingers tremble with a mixture of rage and something else she refused to name.
A fresh wave of shame and anger flashed in Wu Shenyun's beautiful eyes. She forced the words out, her voice clear and ringing with absolute authority, "Go to Hangzhou and find a young, handsome man!"
Wu He and the others exchanged bewildered glances, their minds blanking. Hangzhou was a massive, sprawling metropolis. Finding a single 'young, handsome man' was like searching for a specific needle in an entire ocean of needles. But no one dared to voice a single word of refusal. They all slammed their foreheads to the ground. "Yes, Your Honored One!"
Wu Shenyun turned her gaze eastward, in the direction of Hangzhou. Her eyes narrowed, her killing intent projecting across the vast distance, sharp as a divine blade.
"No matter who you are, I will find you. And when I do, I will kill you!"
