"What's... what's going on here?"
Megan Wilson stared blankly at the scene before her.
What was wrong with the store clerk? Why was she being so polite to this kid? Acting like he was some important customer!
There must be a mistake! Clearly, she was the esteemed guest, having just bought a thirty-thousand-dollar dress! Yet the clerk didn't seem nearly as enthusiastic!
And this guy, he looked so ordinary, definitely not like someone with money!
Even Melissa Lopez was a bit taken aback, looking somewhat puzzled.
"Hey! What's with your attitude? You're so cold to important customers like us but so polite to people who can't afford anything. Is that how you do business?"
Megan grumbled.
The clerk nearly laughed.
Poor and can't afford it? What a joke. This Mr. Thompson, the last time he came into the shop, bought a dozen bags, along with other shoes and clothes, spending nearly a million.
And he spent that million without even batting an eye.
