Captain Bell clasped my hand, shaking it warmly.
The villagers were stunned at this sight, finding it hard to believe.
Since when did I know the captain of the police department? And from the looks of it, our relationship was clearly not ordinary.
Steven Thomas was completely dumbfounded, his eyes wide, staring at the scene.

This guy is just a village farmer, how could he know this Captain Bell? And they're on such good terms!
Then, he shouted angrily, "Captain Bell, what are you doing? Aren't you going to arrest him? Didn't you see how badly he beat me?"
"Even if you know him, so what? He hit someone, he should be arrested! Bell, you know who I am, right? Do you believe I can call Director Stewart and have you removed just like that?"
Captain Bell frowned, the disdain in his eyes growing deeper.
