Chapter 464 - 464: The Ion Tempest

Giant blue lightning nets intertwined across the battlefield, forming a massive barrier that blocked the advancing Seraphim.

"What's going on? Why are there sudden flashes of lightning?"

"Are reinforcements finally here?"

Pirates and Revolutionary Army soldiers alike watched the sudden appearance of the lightning net with confusion, a faint hope flickering in their eyes.

But the expected outcome did not follow. The lightning net only delayed the Seraphim for a brief moment.

The lead Seraphim moved first.

Mihawk drew his black blade from behind him and slashed forward. A massive arc of sword energy tore through the lightning net, ripping it apart.

Crocodile raised his hand. Sand surged outward, gathering into a curved desert scimitar that sliced through the barrier.

Jinbe stepped forward and threw a heavy punch. A shockwave rippled through the air, opening another gap.

Moria let out his signature laugh as countless bats poured from his shadow, forming a massive blade that tore through the net instantly.

Doflamingo flicked his finger, and a crimson thread-like strike cut through the lightning as if it were paper.

Hancock extended a finger, sending pink heart shaped arrows that shattered the remaining structure.

The six Seraphim of the former Shichibukai shattered the lightning net together, reducing it to scattered sparks that faded into the air.

"Yehahaha, so that's all it amounts to."

The scattered lightning slowly gathered again, forming a tall man with pale skin, elongated earlobes, and a bare upper body.

Enel.

He looked down at the battlefield with arrogance in his eyes.

Before he could speak further, a sandstorm suddenly swept across the field.

From the swirling dust, a man wearing a green checkered cloak and holding two cigars stepped forward.

Crocodile.

He glanced at Enel with clear annoyance.

"Your flashy tricks didn't accomplish much."

Enel scoffed immediately.

"You're just jealous my entrance was better."

Crocodile clicked his tongue.

"If you want to compare, then compare properly. Let's see who takes down more enemies."

Enel laughed loudly.

"Yehahaha, still talking big after losing last time?"

Crocodile frowned slightly.

"I don't remember ever losing to you."

In the next instant, Enel was gone.

Crocodile's eyes narrowed.

"Where did that bastard go?"

A voice sounded directly ahead.

"Right here."

Enel was already standing in front of the Seraphim.

Crocodile's expression darkened.

"Damn it, you set me up."

Enel tilted his head toward the Seraphim.

"Hey Crocodile, don't these things look just like you? Maybe they're your hidden children."

Crocodile appeared beside him instantly.

"What did you just say?"

His words stopped mid sentence as he finally saw the Seraphim clearly.

His eyes widened slightly.

"They really do look like us…"

Enel chuckled.

"So it's true? You've been hiding things?"

Crocodile swung his hand.

Enel turned into lightning and vanished.

"Relax, I'll keep your secret."

Crocodile ground his teeth.

"You talk too much. I don't know why Rolan even lets someone like you into his crew."

Enel reappeared in the sky.

"And I don't know why he lets you in either."

Their argument continued without restraint.

The battlefield fell into stunned silence.

"Aren't they on the same crew? Why are they fighting?"

"Are they insane? This is the battlefield!"

"Run! These monsters are arguing like this while the world is ending!"

The Seraphim, now fully reactivated, locked onto them with glowing red eyes.

In an instant, all six units attacked simultaneously.

Their combined power merged into a massive destructive beam dozens of meters wide, tearing through the air.

Crocodile and Enel both turned at the same time.

Even in the middle of their argument, their Observation Haki had already predicted the attack.

"Tch."

Both of them coated their fists in overwhelming Haki.

Blue lightning and yellow sand surged violently around them.

They struck at the same time.

Boom.

Their combined force fused into a massive green Haki fist that collided directly with the beam.

The impact exploded instantly.

A blinding flash engulfed the entire battlefield.

Shockwaves spread outward like a tidal wave, ripping up stone, metal, and earth across the plaza.

Hundreds of soldiers were thrown back from the pressure alone.

When the light faded, Crocodile and Enel stood at the center, sliding back several meters from the impact.

The Seraphim, however, remained completely unmoved.

Silence followed.

Enel coughed once, then laughed.

"Yehahaha… so this is what the World Government created?"

Crocodile narrowed his eyes.

"They're not normal weapons."

The atmosphere grew heavier.

Behind the Seraphim, additional figures began to emerge.

"Whoa, so those are Seraphim? They're incredible!"

A flame descended from the sky, landing lightly beside them.

The fire slowly formed into a young girl with red hair.

"Fire Fist Lina."

"Is that Logia user Lina from the Ion Tempest crew?!"

Her presence shifted the battlefield again.

Above them, a massive shadow began descending from the sky.

Everyone instinctively looked up.
