Chloe watched them break into smaller groups. They moved with precision. It was obvious they didn't trust this place. But the leaders allowed them to roam freely. It meant they had confidence in the people in the base. And the fact that nothing they could do would affect the base as a whole.
This was the understanding she had of the leaders. They were relaxed about many things. But when it came to taking care of the base, it was their first priority. They wouldn't risk their livelihood. So Chloe had no qualms about being as mischievous as she wanted to be.
She followed the group of soldiers as they walked towards the private rooms. Chloe smiled. This was exactly what she needed. When they were close enough, she walked up to them.
"Excuse me, gentlemen. Mind telling me what you're doing here? This is our living area. Do you need something?"
"Just looking around. Our base looks nothing like this. We were curious," one of them answered.
