Chapter 119 - 119: Mephisto Arrives

Carrie had never expected her mother to go this far.

She actually wanted to kill her own daughter?

For a moment, Carrie felt a deep sense of despair.

Luke had anticipated this. With a thought, he used Margaret's house as an anchor point and transformed it into a small Surface World.

Margaret, knife in hand, was just about to lunge at Carrie when the scene suddenly shifted. Everything fell silent, and a thick mist appeared out of nowhere.

Where Carrie, Luke, and the others had been was now empty.

And somehow, she had returned home.

Margaret's heart sank. She rushed to the door and twisted the handle.

When she stepped outside, what greeted her was not the familiar town, but her prayer room.

Looking at the statue in the narrow room, flickering under dim light, Margaret felt no sense of comfort—only a creeping dread.

"Carrie?"

"Where are you? Are you playing games with me? I'm your mother. Come out quickly. I won't scold you anymore, and I won't force you to pray anymore…"

"Carrie, are you there?"

Gripping the fruit knife tightly with both hands, Margaret trembled as she reached out and slowly opened the door.

There was a thin layer of mist inside the bedroom as well. The furnishings were exactly as she remembered, but there was no trace of life.

Not only that, the outside world was completely silent—no people, no sounds at all.

Even the lighting remained unchanged.

Terrified, Margaret opened door after door, searching every corner of the house, but she couldn't find Carrie.

In the end, she could only return to the front door. After carefully observing the road outside and confirming it seemed safe, she cautiously stepped out.

But in the next second.. she was back in that narrow prayer room.

The statue's face was indistinct, yet at times it seemed to be smiling at her in a strange, knowing way.

"No!! Great Lord, guide me!"

Margaret's mind collapsed completely. She rushed upstairs in a frenzy, burst into Carrie's room, threw open the window, and prepared to jump out.

But the moment she looked down, she froze.

At some unknown point—an abyss of immeasurable depth and width had surrounded the house.

Thick fog filled the surroundings, making it impossible to see clearly.

But one thing was certain: the entire house had been completely isolated.

No matter how much she screamed, no one would come to save her.

"Carrie! You cursed demon, you brought the devil into this world! I curse you! The Lord will bring divine punishment upon you!"

"Carrie!!"

"..."

"Don't abandon me… I was wrong, I repent… Carrie!"

...

Meanwhile, in the real world,

Luke withdrew his awareness from the Surface World and said to the silent Carrie,

"Let's go. Let Ms. Margaret calm down in that other world. When she truly reflects, we'll let her out."

Although Margaret had tried to kill Carrie, Luke still chose not to kill her.

After all, she was still Carrie's mother.

Though sometimes… living could be more cruel than death.

Carrie nodded and quietly followed Luke.

Without Margaret, she felt no attachment to this small town filled with painful memories.

Revenge?

Cheryl had indeed considered helping.

But Carrie didn't want to take so many lives over something she considered trivial.

In her view, she would simply start over somewhere else.

Seeing this, Luke didn't press the matter further.

With a wave of his hand, a three-meter-wide arcane teleportation circle appeared on the ground.

As the light flashed, that unusual "family" disappeared from New Silent Hill.

Not long after, an old man in a black tailcoat, leaning on a cane, slowly arrived at the outskirts of New Silent Hill.

He sniffed the faint scent lingering in the air, a strange smile curling at his lips.

"Samael… so this is what you've come to."

"Interesting… very interesting humans. I wonder if your souls are just as delicious?"

...

The next day

Because the number of women in his household had increased, Luke had no choice but to move everyone early into a seaside villa in New York.

Coincidentally, just next door was Tony Stark's villa.

Tony was still developing a new suit in his underground lab when he received news that a new neighbor had moved in.

At first, he didn't care.

But the moment he heard it was Luke, his interest was instantly piqued.

"My neighbor is Luke?!"

Tony was briefly stunned, then frowned.

He immediately pulled up the surveillance footage outside the villa.

When he saw Luke leading a group of strikingly beautiful women, carrying luggage of all sizes as they entered the neighboring villa—

Tony's mouth twitched.

"Oh damn… where did he find so many top-tier beauties? Compared to him, I've been living on scraps!"

"Jarvis, have Happy contact twenty international supermodels and Hollywood actresses in different styles immediately. I'm throwing a massive party tonight!"

Tony Stark was not someone who accepted defeat easily.

While he might be outmatched by Luke in strength, when it came to women, if he claimed second place, no one would dare claim first.

It was just about having women.

He might not be able to match Luke in quality, but he would definitely surpass him in quantity.

Luke, of course, had no idea that Tony had suddenly developed such a competitive mindset.

To celebrate the move, Luke specifically called Maria, Mikaela, and Mary Jane, who were still in school.

He invited them to come over and join the gathering that night.

It was also a good chance for them to get familiar with the new place.

The seaside villa Luke had chosen was spacious enough that everyone could have their own bedroom and bathroom.

It also featured a game room, an entertainment room, a gym, an outdoor swimming pool, and more.

Even in the United States, it ranked among the most luxurious properties.

Outside the villa stood the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime.

Because of Luke, they could move freely in the area without worrying about interference from the military.

They also served as security.

Of course, Luke had already set up multiple layered barriers around the villa.

These were more than enough to withstand most evil spirit intrusions and even conventional weapons.

As a result, Optimus Prime and the others mostly served as a show of force.

After all, transforming mechanical robots were far more impressive than any luxury sports car.

That night—all the women gathered together.

On a whim, Luke called all the adults over to play poker.

The villa even had an oversized master bedroom.

The interior layout was simple, but the most eye-catching feature was a massive, luxurious bed that took up half the room, large enough for many people to sit together and play 'poker'.

It had clearly been prepared for special occasions like this.

It allowed everyone to relax, mingle, and grow closer.

And the results spoke for themselves.

By the time the sun was already high in the sky Luke walked out of the villa, looking completely refreshed.

Tony also stepped out, dark circles under his eyes, glancing at Luke with a hint of resentment.

"You were up all night?"

Luke nodded. "You too?"

Tony almost nodded instinctively. The entire night, he had been watching the lights in Luke's villa. Seeing they never went out, he pushed himself to keep playing 'poker' with the models.

For the sake of his ridiculous pride, he had taken one cognitive enhancer after another.

And in the end… he still couldn't keep up.

At his age, his body was no longer what it used to be.

He had already done his best.

Luke raised an eyebrow. "You handled twelve?"

"What? Twelve?!"

Tony's eyes widened. He had barely managed five.

He quickly realized his reaction was too obvious and forced himself to remain calm. "Not bad. I handled fifteen. I'll deal with the other five later."

"Heh."

Luke gave a faint, knowing smile. He didn't continue competing with Tony, simply waved his hand and turned to leave.

Tony's expression darkened. He felt like he had been mocked.

But in situations like this, a man could not admit defeat.

Even if he had to grit his teeth, he had to keep up appearances.

At that moment, a breeze passed by, and Tony shivered, suddenly feeling lightheaded and dizzy.

"Sir, based on your current condition, there is an 80 percent probability of catching a cold, a 2 percent probability of sudden death, and—"

"Shut up! I'm going back to rest right now!"

Tony's face darkened as he quickly turned and went back inside.

Meanwhile, after leaving the villa, Luke drove Bumblebee toward the school.

Mainly because he had heard from Mary Jane that Peter had been acting strangely lately.

Luke planned to check on the situation—and see if there were any Anomaly Points to pick up along the way.
