Aria crossed her arms on the table, elbows planted hard.
"We need to think of a plan."
I stayed leaning against the doorframe, arms folded.
"Lucy is fighting the supreme empress right now, and Leviathan is nowhere to be seen."
Silence sat heavy.
Nobody had anything solid.
Bella's ears twitched once, twice.
Then her face scrunched up like she was done waiting.
She stood fast, grabbed both my hands, and pulled.
"Come on."
I let her drag me.
We went straight back to that same small room down the hall.
the one with the low stone bench, the single narrow window, the same spot where Aria and I had gone at it earlier.
The door shut behind us with a thud.
Bella didn't waste time talking.
She pushed me back until my shoulders hit the wall.
Her fingers were already yanking at my belt.
"You're mine," she said, voice low and matter-of-fact.
"Not hers. Not anyone's. Mine."
I caught her wrists for a second, just looking at her.
