// Hazel returns with the documents Sam asked for //
Hazel: "Hey Sam, here are the documents you requested."
Sam looked up, quickly clearing his throat as if trying to compose himself.
Sam: "Ahem… yes, thank you. Just place them on my desk."
As Hazel bent down to place the files, a few loose strands of her hair slipped forward, falling over her chest and covering her slightly lowered neckline.Sam's gaze shifted for a moment, his eyes lingering longer than they should have.
Sam (internally):Pull yourself together, Sam… focus.
Right then, Sam's phone rang loudly.
Sam: "Excuse me for a moment, Hazel. I need to take this call."
Hazel:smiling politely "Sure, please go ahead."
Sam answered the call, trying to multitask while reaching for one of the files—but his elbow knocked the stack, sending the papers sliding to the floor.
Hazel: "Oh—no worries, sir. I'll get it."
She quickly kneeled down to gather the scattered documents. As she did, she suddenly felt her blouse shift slightly.
Hazel (internally, panicked):Oh no… did he see that? I need to be more careful.
But when she looked up, she froze—Sam was staring at her with an intensity that made her instantly uncomfortable. She quickly lowered her head again, trying to hide her discomfort and finish picking up the papers.
Sam snapped back to reality when the person on the phone practically shouted:
Caller: "Hello? Mr. Sam? Are you there?"
Sam: "Y-Yes… I'll call you back later. Something important came up."
Hazel stood up and placed the papers neatly on the desk, beginning to read out the important terms of the document.
Sam nodded, pretending to listen, but his focus kept drifting.
Without realizing, he shifted closer, trying to steal a glance every time she looked away.
Sam (internally):What is wrong with me? Get a grip…
Suddenly, as Hazel pointed to a section in the contract, she felt a warm pressure on her lower back. Her breath hitched in shock.
Hazel: "Huh?"
She tried to step away, but Sam's hand stayed firmly against her waist—not painfully, but enough to restrict her movement.
Hazel gulped, unsure how to react without causing a scene.
Sam (internally):She isn't pushing me away…? Is she really okay with this?
Hazel felt her heartbeat pounding against her chest.
Hazel (internally):This is too much… I need to step back. But—what about my job?
Sam's hand slowly started moving downward, crossing a line Hazel could no longer ignore.
She immediately stepped back and pushed his hand away, her expression turning cold.
Hazel:standing straight, arms folded "What are you doing, sir?"
Sam froze, shocked and speechless.
Hazel: "How can you behave like this with your junior? This is completely unacceptable. I can't believe you. I'm reporting this to HR."
Her voice echoed sharply through the office.
Sam's expression hardened, anger rising in his body
Sam (standing up): "How dare you threaten the CFO of this company? Look at yourself—this is not appropriate work attire. Don't pretend you don't know what kind of impression you're giving!"
Hazel stood stunned, shame and frustration mixing inside her.In her nervousness, she shifted slightly, causing her posture to drop, unintentionally drawing more attention than she wanted.
Sam's expression shifted again—his eyes darkening as his temper mixed with something else entirely.
Before Hazel could react, Sam grabbed her jaw gently but firmly, forcing her to look at him.
Sam (low, assertive tone): "Listen, Hazel… people come and go in this firm. But you—"He leaned in a bit."You've got potential here. Don't ruin it."
Hazel tried to push him away, but his grip tightened.
He guided her backward until her back lightly touched the wall.
Sam: "Don't resist. I know what you're feeling."
Hazel (breathing heavily): "Stop it, Sam. You're hurting me."
