"Who's there!" The commander of the Kingdom Army instinctively drew his longsword upon hearing the voice, its sharp blade glinting coldly under the sunlight. He warily scanned his surroundings, then spotted a child who had somehow appeared in the center of the hall—yes, a child, likely not even ten years old.
The surrounding guards quickly reacted, forming ranks to surround Enel, their spear tips gleaming with a cold light.
Boom!
But Enel's temper wasn't exactly pleasant. Violent lightning suddenly erupted from his body, blue electrical arcs snaking around him like serpents. Several bolts of lightning struck the soldiers encircling him directly, producing sharp cracking sounds.
Instantly, the soldiers collapsed to the ground, their armor smoking. The hall immediately filled with the smell of scorched material, tendrils of smoke still rising from the fallen soldiers. The king's wine glass shattered on the floor with a "crack," splashing wine onto his luxurious boots.
"Y-you... who are you?" The king's voice trembled noticeably, his obese body involuntarily shrinking back, almost sinking into his throne.
Enel tilted his head, his golden pupils flashing with dangerous light: "Yahahaha! I'm a pirate!" He spread his arms, tiny electrical sparks dancing at his fingertips. "A waste like you isn't worthy of being king!"
The Kingdom Army commander suppressed his fear, gripping his sword tightly as he positioned himself in front of the king. "Protect His Majesty!" he shouted, though the tremor in his voice betrayed his terror. Sweat beaded on his forehead, and his sword hand shook slightly.
Enel curled his lip disdainfully: "With mere ants like you?" He snapped his fingers lightly, and a dazzling bolt of lightning descended from above, striking the crystal chandelier in the center of the hall. The massive chandelier crashed down, landing on the marble floor with a deafening sound, sending fragments flying in all directions.
The finance minister had collapsed to the floor, while the affairs minister trembled behind a pillar. The attendants in the hall were in chaos, some even kneeling directly on the ground.
The king's face turned deathly pale, his lips trembling uncontrollably: "W-what do you want? I'll have you know, I'm the king of a World Government Affiliated Country. Even if you're a Logia-type user, the World Government won't let you get away with harming me." His voice grew weaker, ending almost in a plea.
"Yahahaha!" Enel laughed loudly, his voice echoing through the hall. "Just the World Government? I'm not afraid!" He floated into the air, looking down at these panicked important figures. "I'm just following my captain's orders to bring a waste like you to see him."
"C-captain?" the king stammered, his eyes filled with fear.
"That's right. My captain is summoning you at the docks. You're coming with me to see my captain," Enel declared from his elevated position, blue electrical energy swirling around him.
"Who is your captain?" the king asked tremblingly, his obese body nearly sliding off the throne.
Enel's face showed a proud expression, his golden pupils gleaming with excitement: "Hmph! My captain is the leader of the Beasts Pirates, Kaidou of the Beasts."
The great hall instantly fell into dead silence, where even the sound of breathing became clearly audible. The king's face turned deathly pale in an instant, with beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.
"Alright, come with me to see our captain now. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind killing you and finding another king," Enel said.
"Yes, yes," the king hastily replied upon hearing Enel's words, his face ashen pale.
Soon, surrounded by a large group of the Kingdom Army, Enel led the pale-faced king aboard the pirate ship. The king's hands trembled uncontrollably, fine sweat beads forming on his forehead, clearly completely dominated by fear.
"Wororororo, so you're the king of this country?" Kaidou looked down at the king from his superior position, asking a question he already knew the answer to. His massive body cast a shadow that nearly enveloped the king completely, his rough voice sounding particularly deep in the sea breeze.
"Y... yes," the king stammered in reply, his legs barely able to support him. When he saw Kaidou's demon-like physique up close, his eyes revealed a look of despair. "Lord Kaidou, this country's treasures, beautiful women—take whatever you want... even take everything... I just beg you to spare my life..."
Kaidou let out a low chuckle: "Don't worry, I didn't come to Bayspa Kingdom this time to plunder."
Hearing this, the king's tense nerves relaxed slightly, but the fear in his eyes didn't diminish at all. He cautiously probed: "Then... then what is the purpose of your visit...?"
"I came this time to pick up the Beasts Pirates' officer Kuzan and bring him aboard," Kaidou stated his purpose directly.
The king immediately understood, quickly nodding and bowing: "So that's it! For Lord Kaidou to personally come for Kuzan, it's truly... truly our honor!"
Kaidou narrowed his eyes, his tone suddenly turning dangerous: "Hmm... since he's an officer of the Beasts Pirates, it doesn't seem quite appropriate if he doesn't have a bounty poster, don't you think?"
The king's back was instantly soaked with cold sweat, and he immediately promised: "Lord Kaidou, rest assured! I'll contact Marine Headquarters right away and have them issue Kuzan's bounty poster immediately!"
"Good," Kaidou nodded with satisfaction. "Remember, I want to see Kuzan's bounty poster within three days. If not..." his voice suddenly turned cold, "I'll personally come back to settle accounts with you."
"Absolutely! Absolutely!" the king repeatedly bowed, his voice becoming shrill with fear. "I guarantee I'll urge the Marines at the fastest possible speed!"
Kaidou waved his hand, indicating they could leave. The king acted as if granted amnesty, stumbling off the ship with the support of the Kingdom Army.
After the king and his party disembarked, Kaidou walked directly to the ship's bow, opened his mouth, and then scorching energy began to gather. A Heat Breath stretching several kilometers long directly melted the frozen sea in front of the pirate ship.
"Not good, Your Majesty, hurry!" Feeling the terrifying heat wave and the ice surface beginning to melt beneath their feet, the Kingdom Army commander quickly dragged and pulled the king as they ran toward the port.
When the king and his entourage arrived panting at the harbor, the distant sea that had been frozen had already thawed, leaving only a few large chunks of ice floating on the water.
The king watched the pirate ship gradually disappearing into the distance, his eyes filled with terror.
Returning to the palace, the king immediately summoned all his ministers. His face remained pale as he issued a trembling order: "Contact Marine Headquarters immediately! I want to see Kuzan's bounty poster as soon as possible!"
The ministers exchanged uneasy glances. One of them gathered his courage and asked: "Your Majesty, isn't Kuzan the hero of our kingdom? Why would you..."
"Silence!"
The king suddenly erupted in rage, slamming his hands on the table as he stood up. "This is Kaidou's command! Do you want to see our entire kingdom destroyed?"
