Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Crushing Thor's Hammer with Bare Hands

"No!"

A roar erupted from Thor's mouth, and he bellowed skyward once more, as if struck by lightning.

Poor Thor, the blow he received was simply too great.

Initially, he had merely thought Captain America could wield his hammer, and while difficult to accept, it wasn't enough to make him collapse.

But now, he saw that this mortal could not only wield the hammer but had also gained his powers!

Stark was right; if that were the case, wouldn't Rogers have become Thor?

Then what about him?

What was he?

"Father, why would you do this to me!"

"No!"

Thor roared continuously at the sky, as if Odin could hear him that way.

"Always crying and roaring at the sky—Thor, are you a child?" Iron Man couldn't bear to watch anymore. "You've truly redefined my understanding of gods."

"Thor, don't worry, I have no intention of keeping your hammer, nor do I want to replace you. You are still Thor," Captain America reassured Thor with a serious expression.

"No, Rogers, you deserve it more than I do!" Thor said dejectedly, still reeling from the shock.

"Thor, the end of the world isn't here yet, no need to be so depressed!" Nick Fury patted Thor's shoulder. "I can tell you with certainty that you will wield your hammer again in the near future."

"Really?" A hint of excitement appeared on Thor's face.

Everyone had told him before that the quiz system could predict the future. Since Nick Fury was so certain, did he learn through the quiz system that he would wield his hammer again in the future?

"Of course it's true, I can guarantee it." Nick Fury solemnly assured him, and Thor's mood improved slightly.

At this moment, the third video on the screen began to play.

This time, the scene was not in Asgard, but on a grassland somewhere on Earth.

Loki, dressed in a black suit, and Thor, in casual clothes, faced each other in a standoff.

From Thor's expression, he seemed very angry.

"This is all your doing!" Thor angrily shouted at Loki.

Crack! Boom!

As Thor's emotions fluctuated, thunder began to rumble around them, and a dark cloud started to gather overhead.

"Loki and I, both on Earth?" Thor thought back carefully. "How come I don't remember this?"

At this point, Thor suddenly realized, "Could this be what you call predicting the future? Is it in this way? Is this how you know me?"

"That's right, this is a scene from the future!" Black Widow nodded in response. "So watch carefully, don't miss any details."

Thor said nothing more, quickly composed himself, and stared intently at the large screen.

As Thor and Loki faced each other, a swirling vortex of dark green energy suddenly emerged beside them.

Thor and Loki exchanged glances, both seemingly understanding what the dark green vortex represented, and began to walk towards the energy vortex.

During this process, they also completed their "transformation."

Thor's casual clothes disappeared, and he was once again the God of Thunder, clad in armor with a large red cape, and holding Mjolnir.

"It's my hammer! I really do wield it again in the future!" Thor said happily.

At this moment, the dark green energy vortex continuously grew larger, revealing itself to be a black hole-like entity, from which a woman emerged.

"So... this is Hela, the Goddess of Death?" Coulson speculated.

No one said much, but everyone shared Coulson's assessment.

"So... he must be dead," Hela said with a sigh after appearing. "What a pity, I would have liked to see him die with my own eyes."

Due to the limited information, no one knew who this "he" in Hela's words referred to, but they assumed he was no ordinary character.

"You must be Hela."

Thor said, looking at the woman with a grave expression, "I am Thor, son of Odin."

"Oh really? You don't look like him at all," Hela shrugged.

"Thor, this Goddess of Death seems to know Odin. Do you really not know who she is?" Nick Fury turned to Thor and asked.

"I've never heard of this person," Thor shook his head, though he also felt a bit strange.

From the Goddess of Death's tone, it seemed she had no respect for Odin, and both he and Loki were clearly very tense when facing this woman.

They looked as if they were facing a formidable enemy.

No matter how you looked at it, this woman was no simple character. Why had his father never told him about such an existence?

"Perhaps we can discuss this," Loki said to Hela, his face filled with seriousness and apprehension.

"You certainly sound a lot like him!" Hela pointed at Loki casually, nodded, and then added, "Kneel!"

Everyone present secretly gasped. This Goddess of Death was too arrogant, daring to demand that Odin's two sons kneel before her.

This was simply a complete disregard for Odin!

And someone who disregarded Odin to such an extent must be incredibly powerful.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" Loki was bewildered, wondering if he had misheard.

Hela then flipped her hand, conjuring a sword out of thin air, and repeated: "Kneel, before your queen."

"I don't think so!" Thor suddenly slammed his hammer towards Hela.

However, Hela reached out and actually caught Thor's hammer with a single hand!

"This is impossible!"

Thor on screen cried out, "No one can catch my hammer!"

"This is impossible!"

Thor in the video was also dumbfounded, his face filled with disbelief.

"Sweetheart, you have no idea what's possible!" Hela said condescendingly, and then she exerted force with her single hand, squeezing tightly.

Boom!

Mjolnir actually exploded completely!

It turned into a pile of rubble.

The third scene froze there.

"Holy crap!"

"Holy crap!"

"Holy crap!"

... No one present could remain calm. Everyone's hearts were pounding, almost leaping out of their chests, and their eyes nearly popped out.

Crushing Mjolnir with bare hands?

That Goddess of Death was absolutely terrifying!

Now everyone finally understood why this Goddess of Death was so arrogant, daring to make Odin's two sons kneel.

It turned out she was such a monster.
