Phoebe's POV
The moment Winnie's parents and the other four families heard my terms, their faces went white. They'd all watched their daughters torment Harriet, and now the thought of facing consequences ten or even a hundred times worse had them panicking.
Milo's eyes darted to Harold, clearly recognizing his connection to me. "Mr. Bailey," he stammered, "what's your take on this situation?"
His voice cracked slightly. "Look, we know our kids screwed up. When Harriet gets back, they'll apologize properly. We'll pay whatever compensation you want. Please, we're begging you and Miss Hale to show some mercy."
"Absolutely, any amount," another parent jumped in. "Our children understand their mistake now. They swear it won't happen again. Just give them one chance to make this right."
"I'll put up fifty thousand right now," a third parent offered desperately. "If you two can help us work this out, we'll agree to whatever terms you set."
