"Since you're so close to Harold now, you should talk to him about business deals and see if there are any projects worth bringing in for the company," Sergio said.
I let out a bitter laugh. "So that's the real reason you called me home tonight, isn't it?"
Sergio didn't bother denying it. He pressed on, "We're all businesspeople. If there are good opportunities out there, of course I want to get them for the company..."
I cut him off with an icy tone. "Are you kidding me? I am now the largest shareholder in Hale Group. How the company moves forward is none of your business anymore."
As if that wasn't clear enough, I shook a finger right in Sergio's face and snapped, "And let me give you a piece of advice. Don't even think about using Harold. Otherwise, even if you manage to make some money, you won't live long enough to spend it."
Sergio's face drained of color, and he stammered, "What... what exactly do you mean by that?"
