My thoughts churned as I mentally catalogued every face in The Nelson Family.
"Who could it be? Could it be...?"
Right now, everyone looked suspect to me.
Take Hanna, that two-faced stepmother, or even Altair. Could one of them be behind this?
Leonardo's very existence threatened their interests directly. With him gone, their shot at grabbing more power and wealth would skyrocket.
If that was true, it was chilling.
"What's going through your head?" Leonardo's voice snapped me back to reality.
"I'm wondering... could whoever set up your car crash be the same person who told Clyde to plant that snake?" I said, voicing my suspicion.
"Could be. Whoever's doing this, they'll slip up eventually!"
Leonardo had been thinking the same thing about these incidents being connected.
First, the car wreck was meant to end his life.
When that didn't work, someone stuck a poisonous snake in his bedroom—another obvious kill attempt.
