Rose and I moved through the crowd, looking for a place to sit. Nadia spotted us and waved, pointing to two empty seats. We hurried over and I dropped into mine, glad to be off my feet.
"What kept you two?" Nadia asked. Rose answered for us while I stayed quiet. "Have you seen Ryan?" Rose asked, her voice a little giggly. I wished I was not stuck between them, forcing them to lean around me to talk. Nadia nodded toward the far end of the stadium, where the players were warming up. "He is over there."
