As soon as they entered the living room—the girls couldn't restrain sighs of surprise. The room had a new layout—and the former living room turned into something like an entrance hall with soft leather armchairs and sofas. In the middle of the room was an incredibly beautiful vintage staircase leading upstairs—and to everyone's surprise the most curious was Kasumi. She immediately rushed upstairs like a graceful cat exploring every corner of her new home.
Kenshin only smiled—watching the beautiful girl's excitement and led the pregnant wives after her. For the next five minutes the girls—like three housekeeping cats—conducted an inspection in their new home—critically evaluating every detail. In the end they all agreed everything was done magnificently.
"Good—curiosity satisfied—and enough. You'll have plenty of time to explore in more detail. Did you forget today is a holiday in honor of Nakayama Kasumi?" Kenshin said and pulled the girl to himself—kissing her sweet cherry lips.
"Exactly! Our mouse finally became a cat today!" Aya said cheerfully and hugged Kenshin with Kasumi. At that moment Natsumi didn't know where to put herself—so Kenshin helped and spanked her ass with telekinesis—inviting her into loving family embraces.
By the time Kenshin and the girls finally came downstairs and entered the dining room—the sons were discussing father's plans. They couldn't understand why father suddenly gathered them at the table if the mothers weren't cooking dinner.
"Don't be so scared. I'm not some tyrant and won't scold you for discussing my plans. The main thing is that it's appropriate." Kenshin said with a smile—seeing the sons in lively conversation suddenly fall silent.
"Girls—sit in your places." Kenshin said—smiling slyly. He liked building intrigue and fueling anticipation in the beauties who understood nothing.
While the girls sat— he walked to the middle of the table and pressed a small "button" on the inner side. A menu of available dishes instantly appeared before his eyes—with very extensive sorting by dish or product type.
"Ah!" Aya cried—most surprised by plates suddenly appearing on the table. Natsumi only flinched from surprise—and Kasumi only narrowed her night-black eyes. Kenshin's sons proved more resilient—and only the four youngest flinched.
Everyone stared at the plate contents—and half of Kenshin's sons as well as the two pregnant wives' stomachs growled from the incredible smell. On the plates lay several quite large pieces of filet mignon in exquisite sauce. Barely noticeable steam rose from the meat—with a maddening aroma.
Next to the large plates smaller plates suddenly appeared with Caesar salad. Kenshin back in his student days got into an expensive French restaurant and remembered the incredible taste of wagyu filet mignon—so decided to arrange for Kasumi a holiday that could surprise even a Nara Clan princess.
Next to each family member appeared glasses with the best French wine—except Natsumi and Aya. Next to them appeared glasses with the best apple juice. The system by default created the best possible dishes—so both meat and wine were of incredible quality and would cost a fortune in his previous world.
"Kasumi—this day is a big holiday for our Nakayama family—so allow me to raise this glass to you. Welcome to the family—Nakayama Kasumi." Kenshin said—standing and raising his glass hand slightly up then taking a sip.
"Welcome to the family—Kasumi."
"Welcome—Kasumi!"
"Welcome to the family—Kasumi-san."
Ringing toasts sounded one after another. Everyone had joyful warm smiles on their lips—instantly melting the black-haired kunoichi's small heart. All her life she learned to be callous and strong—but now couldn't hold back tears.
"Thank you… Thank you all!" Kasumi whispered and raised her glass in response then took a sip.
Kenshin carefully stroked the girl's back—tenderly calming her. She looked into his eyes and smiled a happy smile through tears. Raised in the Nara Clan—she had never seen such manifestations of family bonds. Something similar she occasionally observed in Shikaku's family—who doted on his beloved wife, but in the rest of the clan beyond personal dwellings—manifestation of bright emotions wasn't encouraged.
Everyone began eating unhurriedly—enjoying the incredible taste of excellent beef. All present tried something so high-quality for the first time—and Kasumi was no exception. Even in the Nara Clan and all Konoha no one bred cows—fed them the best vegetables and fruits, and massaged them daily for the best meat texture. Something so labor-intensive didn't occur even to the richest Kage-level shinobi. Primarily because all the strongest and richest people of this world were accustomed to eating moldy crackers on long missions abroad.
"God—how delicious…" Aya purred—being the most emotional of all. She couldn't imagine where Kenshin got this meat and how it appeared on plates—but considered it another of his personal secrets.
"Yep—mom—it really is incredible. Much tenderer than the stringy meat of forest hares." Ichiro supported. The only son who dared freely express his opinion.
"Eat—but don't choke. From this day forward only the best food will be on our table." Kenshin said and took a sip of wine. He really liked sitting at the head of the table surrounded by a loving family. At that moment he was truly happy and hoped every evening would be as calm and happy as this one.
Hearing Kenshin's words—everyone noticeably cheered and stopped choking. Everyone had casual conversations between themselves—mostly in whispers. Only Kenshin—the three girls, and Ichiro could speak loudly. But even then everyone tried to maintain silence and not disturb each other.
