Chapter 2 - pull of the Dark tide (chapter 2)

Belara's POV

The sun had barely risen, spilling gold over the restless waves, yet Belara's heart was still tangled in last night's storm. Every beat reminded her of Riven—his piercing eyes, his commanding presence, and that dangerous charm she couldn't ignore even for a second.

She floated along the shore, each wave sending a thrill through her body—a wild, intoxicating mix of fear, longing, and… excitement.

"Why does he make me feel like this?" she whispered, brushing damp strands of hair from her face. Her hands trembled, and her chest tightened. Her heartbeat raced, butterflies exploding in her stomach. That magnetic pull… she was utterly powerless against it.

Riven's POV — Smooth Vampire Charm

Riven had spent centuries detached, untouched by desire, yet Belara had stirred something inside him that he thought he'd lost forever. His heartbeat quickened, his senses sharpened, every nerve alive with alertness and… hunger.

He stood at the water's edge, watching her float like a creature made of light and waves. Pale skin glimmered in the morning sun, and his voice—low, smooth, velvet—cut through the sea breeze:

"I can't ignore you."

He stepped closer, each movement deliberate, fluid… almost predatory. And then, with impossible ease, he closed the distance and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. Their faces mere inches apart:

"Close your eyes," he whispered, dangerously smooth. "You're safe… with me."

Belara gasped softly, stomach flipping, butterflies erupting. Chill ran down her spine. His pull, his presence, his rizz—it was intoxicating, overwhelming, irresistible.

Forbidden Attraction + Dark Tease

Riven's thumb brushed gently over her lips as he tilted her chin up:

"Your lips… they're mine to protect. You don't even know it yet."

Belara's breath hitched, and instinctively, her hand went to his chest. She could feel the steady, powerful rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her palm—controlled, strong, dominant. Fire and ice raced through her veins simultaneously.

"Dangerous… yet… I can't pull away," she whispered, a mixture of thrill and fear battling in her voice.

Riven smirked, pressing his forehead lightly to hers:

"Exactly. You feel too much… and I like it. I like you."

Twist — Shadow Threat

Suddenly, a ripple darkened the water nearby, and a silver-eyed figure emerged, elegant yet haunting.

"Belara… run," Riven commanded, still holding her effortlessly, his presence a shield.

The shadow's voice was cold and sharp:

"You shouldn't meddle with him… or your kingdom will pay the price."

Riven's gaze darkened. He took a protective stance between her and the figure:

"Leave her. Or face me."

Romantic + Butterflies Amid Danger

Belara's heart hammered wildly, yet in Riven's arms, she felt safe. Danger and desire collided inside her, sending pure, unstoppable butterflies through her body.

He drew her closer, almost brushing their lips together, breaths mingling. His low voice whispered:

"Brave, reckless… perfect. Your heartbeats… they call to me."

A towering wave crashed against the shore, drenching them both. Riven's arms tightened, holding her effortlessly, confident, magnetic, every inch the dangerous vampire whose charm left her breathless..
