Chapter 131 - A Battle Between Two Monsters

THOOM!

Under the full weight of Razor's strike, the ball flew out like a cannonball, moving at a speed nearly invisible to the naked eye. He had cleverly chosen a high-angle spike, utilizing gravitational acceleration to further amplify the ball's impact and destructive power.

"Beautiful strike!"

Allen didn't skimp on the praise. He lowered his upper body, imbuing his hands, feet, and abdomen with Aura to buffer the impact.

In the next second...

BOOM!

A deafening roar erupted between the two clashing Auras. A powerful shockwave, akin to a shell explosion, sent the nearby Gon and Killua stumbling, nearly knocking them onto their backs.

In contrast, Bisky held down her gothic princess skirt with practiced ease, her curious gaze fixed upon the youth before her. She marveled at the terrifying volume of Aura he possessed, far beyond what anyone his age should have.

"Did... did he catch it?" a convict asked his companion in a trembling voice.

"No! Not yet! Look at his feet! He's still sliding back!" the other prisoner responded excitedly.

Allen, arms tightly wrapped around the ball, was slowly sliding backward. The friction between his shoes and the floor produced a bone-chilling, screeching sound. However, unlike Razor's previous disastrous state, Allen was clearly using a high-level application of Shu to simultaneously reinforce his shoes and the floor, ensuring neither showed signs of damage.

This display alone made the eyes of the experts present light up. Specifically Bisky, Chairman Netero's direct disciple, couldn't help but exclaim in wonder, "This guy is a genuine monster! It's not just his Aura volume and abilities; his mastery over the fundamentals and application of Nen has reached the pinnacle. To buffer the impact this way... even I might not be able to pull it off."

"Huh? Is it that hard?" Gon asked curiously.

"Of course! I told you, Shu is the act of imbuing an object with Aura, right? Imagine this: when facing a high-speed object nearly invisible to the eye, you must catch it with precision, ensure it doesn't harm you, and multitask, instantly imbuing your shoes and the floor with an equal magnitude of Aura while ensuring there's enough friction between the two. This isn't something you can achieve through mere training and hard work; it requires something called 'talent.' Simply put, he has to give his Aura two completely different properties simultaneously," Bisky explained seriously.

"I see!"

The intelligent Killua immediately grasped his teacher's meaning. He used Gyo to focus on Allen's feet and indeed discovered that the Aura on the shoes and floor appeared thick and rigid, while a relatively thin, soft layer of Aura existed between them to enhance friction. It was the constant interplay between these two that allowed Allen to avoid being blasted away like Razor.

And so, after sliding about four or five meters along the ground, Allen finally came to a halt, a mere dozen centimeters from the white line. He wiped away a bead of non-existent sweat. "Close! I almost got pushed out of bounds."

"Hey, hey, hey! This can't be real! He actually took Razor's full-power strike!"

"What a monster! How can a human take such a terrifying attack?"

"This isn't a dodgeball match anymore; it's a battle between two monsters!"

For a moment, the spectating convicts broke into various exclamations of shock. To these beginner-level Nen users, the scene before them was beyond the limits of their imagination. Whether it was a ball thrown by Allen or Razor, the penetration and destructive power were horrific. Forget ordinary people; even a Nen user would be turned into a puddle of gore if hit.

Without hesitation, Allen tossed the ball to Killua. "Here, the rest is up to you."

"Yeah! Leave it to us!" Gon replied, his face full of excitement.

It went without saying that Razor's full-power strike, rather than intimidating the boy, had ignited a fierce competitive fire within him. Soon, with Killua's coordination, the ball was positioned like a shell near the center line. Gon quickly gathered Aura in his fist, shouting the chant for Jajanken, and struck with all his might.

BANG!

The ball flew out like a projectile. Because Killua had pre-applied a protective layer of Aura to the ball, it didn't shatter under the impact of the Jajanken.

Watching the ball fly straight at him, Razor chuckled. "Heh! Trying to defeat me with an attack of this level? You're still a long way off!"

With those words, he used both hands to create a forty-five-degree angle, diverting most of the force into the air before steadily catching the falling ball.

Undoubtedly, after bracing against Allen's logic-defying, terrifying assault, the ball hit by the two boys felt like drinking fruit juice after a round of hard liquor—it was utterly bland.

Razor once again locked his gaze onto Allen, who stood in the inner court. In a provocative tone, he asked, "This time, I will use my ability. No problems, I assume?"

"None. You've likely realized the massive gap in our Aura reserves, so bring out whatever trump cards you have. Otherwise, I won't be exiting the field easily," Allen gave a definitive answer without hesitation.

Or rather, he was eager to witness the man's true ability. After all, in the entire original work, this man had never truly showcased his ability; most of the time, simply releasing Nen bullets was enough to easily finish off enemies.

"OK!"

Razor suddenly released Aura even stronger than before. Not only did he wrap a massive amount of Aura around the ball, but he also condensed a projectile about one meter in diameter, its surface craggy and pitted like a meteorite. This thing wasn't solid; its interior was packed with a multitude of Nen bullets.

"Catch this! Starfall!"

With a roar full of power, he leaped high once more. First, he launched the meteorite like a falling star, immediately followed, in less than a second, by a second spike using the ball in his hand.

"Watch out! Get away!"

Bisky, sensing the terrifying lethality contained within that meteorite, shouted a warning to her two disciples. Hisoka had already jumped to the sidelines at the first opportunity.

At the same time, under the "old hag's" warning, Killua hurriedly pulled Gon and retreated to the other side. As a result, the inner court was completely cleared, leaving Allen standing alone in the center.

At this moment, the relaxed expression had vanished from his face. He stared intensely at the massive meteorite flying toward him, releasing a vast amount of Aura to form a layer of Shu that covered the entire floor and walls of the indoor stadium. Then, he suddenly activated Aura Burst and lunged forward to meet it.

BOOM!!!!!!!!!

The moment man and Nen bullet collided, a violent explosion was inevitable. Following a deafening blast, Allen was forced back by the sheer volume of debris, shockwaves, and air currents. The mass of internal Nen bullets was released on the spot, falling instantly like a rain of fire.

Before anyone else could react, the ball followed closely behind, slamming hard into his chest. He began to slide back at high speed, completely out of control.

Due to the initial impact and explosion from the Nen bullets, he had no time to adjust his posture. He could only be pushed back by the ball, unable to use Aura Burst again. The dodgeball court was simply too small; any excess force would cause him to charge past the center line and out of bounds.

In the end, Allen was squeezed past the back boundary by the two successive, violent attacks...
