However, when Kael's bright crimson eyes met Sisi's, all the rage bundled inside him vanished instantly, replaced by pure relief seeing that she had awakened and didn't seem to be in pain.
He walked toward her and reached out, intending to touch her cheek to check for a fever or something similar. But Sisi nimbly dodged his hand, making it hover awkwardly in the air before Kael slowly retracted it.
He sat at the corner of the bed and asked, "How do you feel? I was shocked when you fainted at the training ground."
Sisi cleared her throat to ease the awkwardness between them. "I'm doing fine. I was just exhausted…"
"Mm, good. I'll tell Vestor to take out some replenishing medicine from the treasury for you later."
"N-no need. I really am just exhausted…"
"I insist. You've overused your mental power until you fainted. That's not normal," Kael said.
Sisi had no reason to refuse anymore and simply thanked him out of necessity.
