Sisi's smile didn't fade.
"Is that so? Seems she has even more reason to have such huge ambition," Sisi commented. "You saw her as a sister, but did you treat her as one? Did you let her sleep on your bed, wear your dresses and jewelry?"
That question silenced Ruela instantly, because she hadn't.
Yes, she had seen Leah as a sister she never had. But she would never have allowed her to wear her dresses or sleep on her bed.
In exchange, Leah had never asked for any of those things either. And because of that, Ruela had believed everything between them was fine.
"Can't answer?" Sisi prompted.
"S-she never asked…"
"Why would a servant girl like her ask to wear your dress or sleep on your bed?" Sisi replied coolly. "She would be executed by your family if she dares to ask."

Sisi sighed. "Let me give you a piece of advice, Ruela. For once, think about your own survival. There's no point in fighting within the palace."
