Kael raised his brows. "And why should I do that? She is my enemy."
The little wolf was troubled. Of course, he knew they were enemies, but if he couldn't ask for help, then how was he supposed to save Sisi from dying? He couldn't even lift her up!
"M-my Daddy said that we should help others," Jojo said softly. "So… you should help too."
"I never taught you to help your enemy," Kael replied coldly. "Didn't I tell you to make sure your enemy is dead before moving on? That will save us a lot of trouble."
"But Sisi is not an enemy!" Jojo snapped, then froze.
He realized he wasn't facing his father, but a demon wearing his father's face. He couldn't insist the way he used to.
The boy thought hard, then finally compromised.
"D-Demon Daddy… if you help Sisi stay warm, then Jojo… uhm… Jojo will hunt for you every day! I promise!"
