"Why is the snow so Red"

I was in the guild looking at mission options "E-Rank:kill a horde of goblins near the Land of Water.", "F-Rank:Kill Slimes near the Magic forest", but then i saw "C-Rank:Kill the horde of demons near Blueshore."
I decided to do that one, but right when i was reaching for the mission some guy the same height as me and with black hair grabbed it at the same time i did and we almost ripped the paper.
"Oh you wanted this?"he said.
"Ok, you can take it,"he said before I could speak.
"If you want you can join my party!"I said.
"I don't really have anyone right now" except Akane of course.
"Sure,"he said without a facial expression.
So we took it and went to take the mission. It was a 3 day trip as usual but eeriely it was very quiet and when we arrived I saw a massacre.
Dead bodies of guards impaled with their own spears, when we went inside we saw a total massacre of bodies everywhere, children, men, women, elfs, wolfmen.
Everyone was dead.
My heart dropped since I remembered that my family lived there, so I sprinted past everyone and came upon my house.
I opened the door and my sister jumped at me crying covered in blood. My mother was behind her lifeless and covered in blood.
I took my sister and told..
"Hey what's your name?"I asked in the middle of the city.
"Caito Tomaka," he responded.
Then me and caito loaded my sister in and we went back to our mission. We found the demons that did all of this and I ripped them apart like paper with Caito.
After that I headed to the garage and I hugged my sister tightly and asked Cairo to begin the trip to the city.

When we arrived back we were being called heroes for saving my sister but I felt anything but a hero.
When Akane heard the news she hugged Kira tightly and said her consulenses.But Kira was speechless and i was worried.
After the funeral Kira and Akane started talking everyday about "girl things" and i didnt really want to know.
After a while I started taking more missions with Akane and sooner or later I became a C-Rank, and Akane became a B-Rank, and since Akane was a B-Rank we were able to do A-Rank Missions.
"SHould we do this one?"Said Akane.
"Ummm.. no that seems too easy"i responded.
And then something spotted my eye.
"Let's do the behemoth," I said as I grabbed it.
"Are you sure I can't beat an A-Rank?"she said.
"Yor right, last thing i wanna do is put you in danger" i said as i put it back and grabbed B-Rank missions about killing a Orc horde.
"It's ok we can do it when we get stronger!" she said while grabbing my shoulders and giving me a warm smile.
Either way I wouldn't have been able to take a behemoth on. But we started heading to the Orc horde in the forest.
This forest was in the elven land which we were allies with but it was one and a half week to get there.Before heading off I told Caito to take care of my sister and that we would be back in 3 Weeks.
After our goodbyes we set off on our adventure, our first 3 days were uneventful but we did stop a couple of times for potty breaks and for our horses and us to rest. The way we would sleep was that we would open the top of the carriage and it was very spacious so I popped off the wheels and told the horses to sit down around the horse.
The three horses were laying around the carriage and their size and their genetic armour were able to fend off monsters.
Me and Akane popped the top back on and closed the curtains near the openings so no cold would get in, then we would warm up some food and eat anything we had.
After packing the cooking supplies we covered ourselves in one blanket and we cuddled for warmth.
We kept that routine until one week and we only had three and a half days left. We lost the blanket and we were cold.
"What should we do?"Akane said.
"I don't know, I guess we should just huddle up to each other so we don't freeze,"I said.
"That sounds good,"she said.
"Akane, please don't try anything on me,"I said.
"What do you ever mean?"she responded.
So we started hugging and it was oddly really warm. After that night we both decided to kill a bear and make a blanket and so we did.
After we got there to where we were gonna fight the Orc we realized that these orcs were Chief Orcs.
So I got ready for the fight. In a split of a second the Orc attacked and I got a tiny cut on my arm, but the Orc left himself open.
So with a clean swoosh I chopped its head off, But i used too much power and i accidentally have had blown Akane and the Orcs Away.
Akane took care of some but ran out of stamina and almost died but i too the blow for her.
But then i saw i was bleeding, that hit was no normal hit but it stabbed me and i was bleeding a lot but with Akane out of commision i fought for her life i slashed and dashed and i cut a hole into one of the bears and after five minutes i was able to kill all of them.
But there was a tiny problem, I was still bleeding and the last thing I heard was.
"Sato, stay awak.." Said Akane until I passed out.
