Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 — Return of the Dimensional Commander Demon Slayer World — Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters

"Benimaru! Temporarily mobilize a 30,000-strong Orc army, plus 5,000 from the Garrison, for a total of 35,000!"

Takumi's voice carried over the entire war council.

"Those people will accompany me to the New World. The rest of the Garrison stays here in the Great Jura Forest. Also, contact every race leader—tell them to prepare their troops for war readiness!"

Benimaru bowed sharply. "Yes, Lord Takumi!"

The rest of the meeting was swift.

Rimuru sat beside Takumi, nodding. "Then everyone, let's follow Lord Takumi's commands! Let's give it our all!"

The united voices answered as one.

"Yes!"

Takumi stood. "Meeting adjourned."

Dimensional Gate — Departure Point

The next morning, at the town entrance, hundreds of elites stood ready.

Miss Shizu stared at the massive glowing portal before her.

"This… is the Dimensional Gate?"

"Kukuku! Cool, right?" Takumi puffed his chest. "Amazing, isn't it?"

Shizu blinked at his childish pride.

"Can this gate send me back to my original world?"

Takumi scratched his cheek.

"Probably not… The gate anchors worlds randomly. If there's no anchor point, it can't connect. Sorry."

Shizu lowered her gaze for a moment.

But then she smiled softly.

"It's fine. I don't think I have family left there anyway. Let's go, Takumi. We have teachers to recruit."

Takumi brightened. "Alright! Let's move!"

The group stepped through the portal.

Arrival — Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters

The gate opened—

—and the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters came into view.

"We actually came out right at the headquarters!"

"It feels like forever since we left."

"Your whole family isn't here anymore, brat. Don't cling to the past."

"Hey! I was just reminiscing!"

Shizu glanced around, surprised at the familiarity.

"So this was Kagaya-san's world?"

"Yes," Kagaya smiled. "This is where we first met Lord Takumi… and where he crushed the entire Demon Slayer Corps with pure aura."

Shizu jerked her head toward Takumi.

Takumi coughed awkwardly.

"H-Hey! I was younger and more hot-blooded then, okay?! Let's forget that part!"

The System whispered.

"What about the Lizardmen incident?"

Takumi: Shut up.

Mobilization Order

Takumi stepped forward.

"Everyone! You have one week to recruit the talents we need! I don't care how you invite them—just be back in one week!"

"Understood!"

"Then go!"

The crowd dispersed.

Takumi yawned loudly, walked into the nearest hall, and threw himself onto a couch.

Shizu stared.

"…So this is the legendary Duo of Idleness."

Takumi waved lazily. "Shizu, go ahead. No one in this world can hurt you anyway."

"Then, Lord Takumi, I'll take my leave."

Kagaya next stepped forward.

"I will go as well. There are old acquaintances I can persuade."

"Go. Just return in time. And be safe."

Kagaya nodded and left.

Takumi's Global Plunder Tour

For three days, Takumi slept as if he had fused with the furniture.

On the fourth morning, he remembered:

MISSION.

And thus began:

THE GREAT WORLDWIDE SCAVENGING EVENT

Takumi teleported across continents.

Granaries? Emptied.

Armories? Cleaned out.

Factories? Not even a screw left.

Neon suffered the worst.

Twice.

Newspapers would later call it:

"The Hundred-Year Mystery of the Vanishing Resources."

They blamed aliens.

They were not entirely wrong.

Takumi even visited Shenzhou, where he left stockpiles of weapons and industrial equipment with certain patriotic groups.

Which later caused Shenzhou to steamroll the entire world during the First World War.

By the time Takumi finished—

His system space was crammed with enough supplies to feed tens of millions for five years.

"Perfect! Time to go back."

Two Days of Rest (Again)

Takumi returned to HQ.

Then immediately rested for two more days.

Sipping old cola.

Reading manga.

Living life.

"Ahhh, this is paradise."

A gentle voice answered.

"Haha, Lord Takumi looks relaxed."

Takumi turned.

"Kanae! You're back!"

"Hmph! Not everyone is as lazy as you, Takumi!" Shinobu scolded.

"Oh? Acting bold again, huh? Behold—Divine Retribution!"

Takumi teleported behind her and flicked her forehead.

"Ow!!!"

Classic scene.

Shinobu squatted, holding her head.

"You bully! Kanae, look!"

Kanae chuckled softly. "Now, now. You know how Lord Takumi is."

The headquarters air filled with warmth.

Kanao, silent as always, giggled lightly.

The Return of Forces

One after another, Demon Slayer members returned from across the land.

Finally—

Kagaya entered.

"It seems I have come at the wrong time," he said with a gentle smile.

Takumi waved him over.

"No, Kagaya. You came at the perfect time."

He stood.

"Everyone's back. Now the real work begins."
