"I'm not going, I'm not going!" Ouyang Na started to throw a tantrum, her voice shrill and grating. She was like a cat whose fur was standing on end, jumping and bouncing around.
"That's not up to you," Sun Zhewen said, unmoved. His gaze was firm and cold, fixed on Ouyang Na.
"Do you know who I have backing me?" Ouyang Na was still trying to struggle, her eyes filled with threat, attempting to scare Sun Zhewen.
"Don't want to know," Sun Zhewen said coldly, his voice without the slightest fluctuation, as if Ouyang Na's threat had no effect on him.
"Secretary Liu won't let you off," Ouyang Na shouted with all her might, her face turning red with anger.
"Heh, so that's the person backing you?" Sun Zhewen sneered, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, revealing a look of disdain.
"You're scared," Ouyang Na glared at Sun Zhewen, her eyes full of anger and provocation.
"Take her away," Sun Zhewen ordered, his voice decisive and resolute, without the slightest hesitation.
Captain Liu whispered, "Director Sun, this woman is really the Secretary's woman. We can't afford to offend her, can we?" Captain Liu's face was full of worry, and his voice was very low.
Sun Zhewen was now in a difficult position. He took a deep breath and said, "We can't just let her go in front of so many people, can we? What would that make us look like? Let's take her back first." Sun Zhewen's brow furrowed, and his eyes revealed firmness and determination.
"Alright." Captain Liu nodded helplessly and then called Director Ding. Director Ding was beside himself. He hadn't expected to arrest Shang Xiaofei and end up with such a troublesome person. But at this point, he could only stand on his own side and arranged for a minibus to bring the people back.
Sun Zhewen called Chen Qingyan from the side of the road, and the call was quickly connected.
"Qingyan, I arrested Ouyang Na tonight," Sun Zhewen's voice was low and serious.
"Heh, good, what happened to her?" Chen Qingyan's voice sounded calm, but there was a hint of satisfaction.
"We were originally going to Mushan to arrest Shang Xiaofei, but we met two minors there asking for help. We rescued them. Now, she's violently resisting law enforcement to stop us from finding Shang Xiaofei, illegally detaining minors, and organizing people to engage in prostitution. She's done all sorts of things. Also, according to those two little girls, Deputy Director Wang was also there tonight, but he probably went back to the bureau because of Shang Xiaofei. Now, Ouyang Na is a bit difficult for us to handle because she's your man's woman." Sun Zhewen explained the whole situation in one breath.
"You just handle it. If he dares to help her, I'll fall out with him," Chen Qingyan's voice became cold and resolute.
"Alright, is this going to be okay?" Sun Zhewen was still a bit worried.
"That bitch, he's already tired of her. Nothing will happen," Chen Qingyan said.
"Okay, I'll go back and ask her properly," Sun Zhewen said.
Back at the police station, Sun Zhewen had someone bring Ouyang Na to the interrogation room. A group of lackeys were taking turns interrogating her. He went to see Director Ding.
Director Ding saw him and said, "Hey, you've got guts. But now that we've caught the person, we can only find problems if we can actually interrogate her." Director Ding's face was full of worry, and he kept pacing back and forth in the room.
Sun Zhewen said, "Director Ding, Deputy Director Wang went to Mushan tonight too. Those two kids were supposed to be Deputy Director Wang's meal tonight." Sun Zhewen's expression was very serious, his brow furrowed.
Director Ding's head hurt even more. He put his hands on his head and said, "What are we going to do about this?"
"Don't worry, I'll take responsibility. If they ask, just say I did it," Sun Zhewen patted his chest.
"Bullshit, they'll come looking for me the minute you're gone. That Deputy Director Wang has been calling non-stop, not even bothering to avoid suspicion," Director Ding said, his voice rising in irritation.
"His ass isn't clean. Luckily, I reported to Director Wang, and he told me to investigate thoroughly, not letting anyone off the hook," Director Ding said.
"Director Wang would say that?" Sun Zhewen looked up, surprised, at Director Ding.
"Yeah, I didn't expect it either. He doesn't usually speak up, but he's giving this kind of order. We have to make a rock-solid case out of Shang Xiaofei's case," Director Ding said.
"Understood," Sun Zhewen nodded.
"Right, the County Discipline Inspection Commission will be sending someone over later. You cooperate with them," Director Ding said.
"Director Ding, so you were prepared all along," Sun Zhewen said with a smile.
"Haha, how could I not prepare? It's going to be lively tonight. But as for Ouyang Na, you figure out how to handle it. That woman, she just had to walk right into the knife," Director Ding shook his head helplessly.
Sun Zhewen returned to the interrogation room. Some of the lackeys had begun to talk, while others remained silent. Sun Zhewen ordered those who wouldn't speak to be locked up together and focused on further questioning those who had already started talking. He went to Ouyang Na's door and watched her through the one-way glass.
Ouyang Na was defiant. She sat in the chair with her legs crossed, her face full of disdain. Sun Zhewen hadn't yet figured out how to deal with her, so he decided to leave it for now.
Zhang Liang was in charge of interrogating Shang Xiaofei. The police station had never been like this before, with two cases running simultaneously, creating a tense and oppressive atmosphere.
Cars arrived at the door one after another, and Director Ding went out to personally greet them. Chen Qingyan arrived. As soon as she got out of the car, her eyes quickly scanned the surroundings. She exchanged a glance with Sun Zhewen and then looked away. Director Wang also arrived; he was there for the Shang Xiaofei case. Regarding Ouyang Na, he didn't even ask about it after seeing Chen Qingyan, as if it didn't concern him.
Director Wang was very dissatisfied with Deputy Director Wang's usual behavior. Deputy Director Wang, relying on his connections in the city, loved to play the opposite role to Director Wang. Now that there was an opportunity to bring him down, Director Wang wouldn't miss it. He told Zhang Liang to speed up the interrogation.
"Zhang Liang, hurry up, you must make this case ironclad!" Director Wang said, his eyes filled with determination.
Zhang Liang understood and increased the intensity of the interrogation. It was indeed effective; soon, confessions began to be made amidst screams.
However, Director Wang was still not satisfied. He said, "Zhang Liang, increase the intensity even more, don't miss any details!"
Zhang Liang intensified the interrogation. After resisting, Shang Xiaofei only received even harsher treatment. He began to confess everything in detail. Director Wang took out his phone and said, "You can start the net closing."
Chen Qingyan and Sun Zhewen walked together into Ouyang Na's interrogation room. Sun Zhewen told the interrogating police officer to wait at the door.
Ouyang Na's expression changed slightly when she saw Chen Qingyan. Her body was trembling a little. A mistress meeting the original wife, how could she not be afraid?
Chen Qingyan said, "I know some things about you, I just didn't want to make a fuss. But it seems you've gone too far, haven't you?" Chen Qingyan's voice was calm, but it carried an invisible pressure.
