He congratulates Cloud, Fang Yue, and Xiao Fan as the first, second, and third rank respectively.
Then he gave a simple speech and concluded the event.
Everyone then scatter to go back to do their own things. Some still talk about the competition, of how amazing it was and how unexpected the result is.
Cloud is going back to the inn. As for entering the sect, the city lord informed him that they would depart in two days.
He only need to go to the city lord's mansion in the morning of that day.
For the next two days, Cloud prepares himself for the journey.
He buys some medicine and food. He also goes to the blacksmith to sharpen his blade.
He says some goodbyes to the innkeeper and the people of the inn. Also, to some other acquaintances in the city.
The innkeeper was surprised when he heard that Cloud joined the competition and actually win.
He heard some rumors from the gossiping customers in his inn about a mysterious boy winning the entire competition.
But he didn't expect that the mysterious boy they were talking about is actually Cloud.
He thought that it might've been someone with the same name.
But when he think again it made sense. After all, he never saw such a young boy with such capabilities before.
This kind of talent shouldn't be appearing anywhere like cheap cabbage.
Cloud also asked the innkeeper to do him a favor. It's just something simple.
He asked that if there is someone named Hong from a village in the mountain looking for him, tell him the whole story and his whereabouts.
The innkeeper agrees. It's just a small matter anyways.
Hong is also going to leave the village.
Back at the village, he and Cloud said to each other that they would meet again in the city.
Hong has an agreement with the village chief. He needs to stay in the village for a certain time to defend it and later the chief would give him something in return.
That's why he didn't go to the city with Cloud back then.
But since things develop like this, Cloud wouldn't be able to meet Hong since he's going to leave the city soon, so he wants to at least leave some words.
Two days passed in a blink. In the early morning, Cloud has already arrives at the city lord's mansion.
The mansion guards already recognize him, so they let him in easily. They even do it in a very friendly attitude.
They know that Cloud is going to enter Bright Moon Sect. Such a position is unreachable to them, so they have to treat him with respect.

Xiao Han with Xiao Fan comes soon after.
When they saw Xiao Fan, Fang Yue giggles on the side while the city lord smile awkwardly.
Cloud looked on with interest.
Xiao Fan has some bruises on his face. His brother clearly didn't let him go.

Cloud was about to refuse but the city lord tells him that it would be very helpful for him when he is breaking through to Qi Gathering Realm.
Since its something that Cloud really needs, he doesn't refuse anymore. He thanked the city lord and accepted the gift, knowing that it would need to be repaid in the future.
The horses soon came and everyone prepares to depart.
