Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 — The Second Competition!

Pfft—!

Just as Xiao was savoring his bourbon, his heart skipped a beat. His eyes snapped wide open.

The next second, everything blurred. The walls of Homelander's room twisted like a melting painting—

Ding~~~

With a crisp bell chime, Xiao, together with the table and sofa beneath him, was dragged into the Daluo Arena once again.

Opposite him sat a monstrous man draped in a huge white-bear coat. Three meters tall, covered in bulging muscles, with dozens of neatly stacked abs.

He lounged on a gem-encrusted throne, legs crossed, letting his oppressive aura spill freely—just one glance made ordinary people drop to their knees.

"Interesting."

"The second match begins!"

Both men froze for half a second.

Then they looked at each other and—coincidentally—smiled.

The second round of the Daluo Arena… had officially begun.

Before either Xiao could speak, familiar voices rose behind them.

"Master, where are we?"

"King Wapol! The entire royal army and ministers were suddenly dragged here by some strange force!"

The darkness behind the two Xias split apart, revealing the forces that had been summoned with them.

Behind Sebastian Xiao stood his wives, concubines, and the Meng Ji Army.

Behind 'Wapol Xiao' was an intimidating legion of muscle-bound giants—

Every man over two meters tall, every body packed with explosive power. Many even had mechanical augmentations bolted into them.

If not for the crude matchlock rifles in their hands, Xiao would've suspected they were Astartes.

At the front of their formation stood numerous fully modded cyborgs, their bodies replaced piece by piece with machinery—some familiar to Xiao from certain games and anime in his previous life.

All in all, nearly 100,000 stood behind Wapol Xiao.

Sebastian Xiao had barely a thousand survivors.

It was a 100-to-1 slaughter on paper.

"Heh~ A team battle, huh? Didn't expect that your subordinates also count as your strength? Tough luck, kid!"

Wapol Xiao whistled arrogantly, looking down at Sebastian Xiao like a mountain of flesh.

Sebastian Xiao didn't even raise an eyebrow. He just gestured for Qin Huairu to refill his glass.

"Wapol, huh? The Munch-Munch Fruit clown who got smacked by the protagonist in One Piece's Drum Kingdom? Lucky guy, but a bit crooked."

He pointed lazily.

"Those cyborgs over there—you got them from the last world? Looks like Cyberpunk 2077.

Where's V, the legend of Night City? Dead already? Wow… what a waste."

Sebastian Xiao sipped his bourbon, continuing his relentless taunts while analyzing the enemy's power system.

"You guessed right," the huge Xiao sneered. "So what? The last guy guessed it too. Wanna know how he died?"

He lunged—

BANG!

An invisible wall stopped him mid-charge. The protective barrier of the Daluo Dao Fruit.

"Seriously? The match hasn't even started."

Sebastian Xiao rubbed his face, ashamed to share an identity with this guy.

But he didn't dare underestimate him. Anyone who survived the Arena was someone blessed with strength, luck, and cunning—no matter how they behaved.

"Hurry up and start! I can't wait to tear you apart!"

Wapol Xiao roared.

Sebastian Xiao raised his glass.

"Why the rush? We're enemies, sure—but also brothers. The last Xiao and I got along. We even chatted for a while."

"You're unbearably Innocent."

Wapol Xiao laughed coldly. "Once I kill you, I'll know everything anyway.

But sharing a drink with myself? That's respect."

He grabbed a golden goblet and approached the barrier.

Xiao did the same with his crystal cup.

"To you, my brother."

"To you as well."

CLINK—

Red wine rippled against amber bourbon.

Both drank.

And then—

"Let the match… begin."

In an instant, the arena warped.

The stone platform stretched one hundred thousand-fold, becoming a vast battlefield stretching beyond sight.

Light curtains rained down, restoring everyone to their peak state.

"Master, where is this? Who was that man? Why are we fighting?"

Xi Hanmei finally asked, unable to hold back her curiosity.

"For the supreme throne," Xiao said calmly. "Only one of us survives. The winner gets everything. The loser ceases to exist."

His tone was solemn, but his composure was far greater than in the first match.

After all—

One Piece abilities couldn't harm him anymore.

Only the Cyberpunk world was worth attention.

Cyberpunk's lower-class lives were miserable, but its tech was dangerous—mysterious, almost magical. Still, Xiao relaxed after recognizing familiar faces.

These were from Cyberpunk 2077, not the stronger tabletop universe.

2077's tech wasn't enough for true mechanical ascension.

They could replace limbs and organs, but never the entire body.

Even Adam Smasher—one of the most heavily augmented characters—still retained 2–3% organic matter.

And that tiny percentage limited the ceiling of every cyborg.

Which meant—

They could be dangerous…

But not unstoppable.

"As long as we block their heavy weapons," Xiao concluded, "they're nothing special in hand-to-hand combat."
