Chapter 191 - A Terrible Sight!

Chapter 191: A Terrible Sight!

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

The dull, rhythmic impact sounds were like the drum beats tolling the death knell for the Beasts Pirates, echoing in every corner of Onigashima.

"Haha! Hit him harder! Don't hold back! Just like that!"

Yamato delivered a powerful, incredibly heavy "Thunder Bagua!"

Her massive kanabo, wrapped in fiercely crackling black lightning, ruthlessly smashed into the squad of elite Gifters standing in front of her.

The terrifying impact shattered their enhanced armor and broke their bones with a series of sickening crunches, sending their bodies flying into the surrounding rubble like discarded ragdolls.

She didn't even bother to watch her defeated enemies land. She immediately turned her horned head, her bright eyes locking onto a scene high in the sky that made her Oni blood boil with unprecedented excitement.

Her tyrannical, overwhelmingly arrogant father, the man who had imprisoned her in explosive handcuffs for her entire life, was currently being used as a literal, helpless punching bag!

A colossal, terrifyingly majestic Blue Demon God composed of pure, raging energy was relentlessly slamming Kaido's massive dragon body back and forth in mid-air!

The sheer kinetic force of the Susanoo's fists was batting the Yonko around as if he were nothing more than a bruised, battered plaything caught in a violent hurricane.

Yamato's hands gripped the handle of her kanabo so tightly her knuckles turned entirely white.

She had lived her entire life under the crushing, suffocating shadow of this monster, yet she had never, ever seen Kaido look so utterly pathetic!

How could this bruised, dominated creature still boldly be called the "world's strongest creature"?

At this very moment, he was clearly just a tragic plaything in the hands of a superior entity, possessing absolutely no power to launch a meaningful counterattack!

In Yamato's wide, shining eyes, there was absolutely no trace of daughterly sympathy or familial concern.

There was only the pure, unadulterated, intoxicating excitement of finally seeing Kaido being completely defeated!

However, for the vast, sprawling army of the remaining Beasts Pirates, this monotonous, rhythmic "bang, bang" sound was something entirely different.

It was the most terrifying, sanity-destroying demonic music in the entire world.

Their unwavering faith, built over decades of bloody conquest, was being violently shattered to pieces, sword stroke after sword stroke, fist impact after fist impact.

"This... this has to be a lie... a nightmare..."

A veteran member of the Beasts Pirates muttered incoherently to himself.

His weapon slipped from his trembling, sweaty fingers, clattering uselessly against the stone floor.

His hollow, terrified gaze drifted blankly across the smoking battlefield, witnessing horrific scenes that terrified his very soul to the absolute core.

High in the sky, their supreme, god-like Governor-General was actually being tossed around like a cheap rubber ball.

But the despair did not end there; it was everywhere he looked.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the frozen, shattered courtyard, stood the man who had always faithfully followed the Governor-General.

He was the man known to be as terrifyingly strong and completely reliable as a raging inferno, the undisputed right hand of Kaido, "Disaster of Flame" King.

Yet, that legendary Lunarian was currently completely frozen solid into a massive, highly detailed, and chillingly lifelike ice sculpture!

King was permanently locked in the aggressive posture of swinging his massive serrated sword downward.

The extreme, absolute zero frost had perfectly preserved the final, pathetic trace of sheer, unadulterated shock remaining on his masked face.

There was no heat, no flame, and absolutely no movement; the towering All-Star was completely, utterly lifeless!

It's over... we are all going to die here.

This highly contagious, deeply pessimistic thought spread wildly through the dense crowd of pirates like an uncontrollable plague virus!

"Little Pe...!!"

A sudden, incredibly shrill, and entirely heartbroken scream violently pierced the air, immediately attracting the attention of everyone nearby.

Ulti's fierce eyes were completely bloodshot, thick red veins bulging against her pale skin as tears of pure rage streamed down her face.

She stared intently, with a hatred hot enough to melt steel, at Ram, the seemingly fragile maid who wielded terrifying lightning abilities.

Just moments ago, a blinding, highly destructive flash of concentrated purple lightning had ruthlessly struck down from the sky.

It had mercilessly struck her precious younger brother, Page One, completely overwhelming his Ancient Zoan durability.

Beside him, another immensely powerful Tobiroppo, the armored triceratops Sasaki, had suffered the exact same devastating fate.

Both of the fearsome executives now lay motionless in deep smoking craters on the scorched ground, their bodies charred completely black and totally unconscious.

"Little Pe is the absolute best, most precious little brother in the entire world! You damned, lowly bastard...!"

Ulti's voice cracked, sounding like a wounded, cornered beast screaming at the heavens.

"How dare you do this to him!!"

Ulti's last shred of tactical sanity was completely, instantly burned away by a raging inferno of vengeful rage at that very moment.

"This little girl will absolutely, unequivocally not forgive you for this! Take this! Uru-Head Gun!"

She suddenly lowered her upper body, instantly triggering her Ancient Zoan transformation.

Her form rapidly shifted, expanding into a highly aggressive, deeply enraged Pachycephalosaurus hybrid!

The thick, domed bone of her skull expanded heavily, and she violently wrapped an incredibly dense, concentrated layer of black Armament Haki entirely around her forehead.

She kicked off the ground with explosive, dinosaur leg strength, violently cratering the bedrock beneath her feet.

She successfully transformed herself into an unstoppable, organic black cannonball, aggressively and mindlessly charging straight toward the indifferent Ram!

The sheer kinetic force and momentum of this specialized attack was more than enough to effortlessly pierce straight through the thick, heavily reinforced steel armor of a Marine battleship!

However, just a split second before her hardened skull was about to actually hit her intended target, a fast, blurring black shadow viciously attacked from the side blind spot.

It was the other maid, the blue-haired sister, Rem!

Her delicate, beautiful face was completely, terrifyingly expressionless, her blue eye locked onto the charging dinosaur with the coldness of an apex predator.

She swung her arm, and the heavy, brutally spiked iron Meteor Hammer gripped tightly in her small hand shot forward.

The heavy iron chain whistled, cutting through the thick air, tracing a perfectly calculated, chillingly cold geometric arc.

It moved with blinding speed, accurately and elegantly intercepting the massive momentum... heavily striking precisely against Ulti's unprotected temple.

"Dong...!"

With an incredibly loud, sickeningly dull thud that echoed like a struck bell, the violent impact occurred.

Ulti's furious, seemingly unstoppable cannonball charge came to a sudden, completely abrupt halt against the spiked iron ball.

The overwhelming, vengeful madness blazing in her bloodshot eyes instantly froze, replaced entirely by a blank, empty void of pure concussive shock.

The sheer, unreasonable physical strength behind Rem's swing had completely scrambled the Tobiroppo's brain inside her thick skull.

This was immediately followed by Ulti's eyes slowly rolling completely back into her head, showing only the whites.

Her massive, muscular hybrid body instantly went entirely limp, losing all internal tension.

She softly, quietly collapsed sideways onto the ruined ground in a heap of dust, exactly following in her beloved younger brother's tragic footsteps.

On the complete opposite side of the sprawling, chaotic battlefield, the "Disaster of Plague," the fearsome Queen, was also finding himself in a desperately bad situation.

"Hoo... hoo... hoo...!"

Queen was hunched over, panting incredibly heavily, his lungs burning and wheezing loudly exactly like a broken, rusted old bellows.

Sweat poured profusely down his plump, round face, stinging his eyes and matting his blond braid to his neck.

He looked down at his own body in sheer horror. His proud, highly advanced, and incredibly expensive modified mechanical arm was ruined.

It had already been completely smashed full of deep, sparking dents, wires hanging loose and leaking dark hydraulic fluid onto the stones.

While opposite him stood Albedo, the stunningly beautiful woman fully clad in heavy, pristine black armor.

Despite the prolonged, highly destructive clash they had just engaged in, she hadn't suffered even a single, microscopic scratch on her armor or her skin.

While desperately trying to catch his burning breath, Queen quickly, nervously scanned the overall battle situation with his wide peripheral vision.

He immediately realized it would have been vastly better for his heart if he hadn't looked at all.

Upon clearly seeing the horrifying state of the battlefield, his massive, blubber-filled body instantly shivered with a bone-deep, primal chill.

King... the invincible Lunarian, had literally been turned into a giant, frozen ice pop.

Half of the elite Tobiroppo, the backbone of their crew... were completely down and bleeding in the dirt.

And worst of all, Boss Kaido... the undisputed strongest living creature, was still being brutally played with like a baseball high in the stormy sky.

Run!

This single, overpowering thought instantly dominated Queen's entire, highly intelligent mind!

He was a scientist, a man of logic and self-preservation. There was absolutely no logic in staying here to die against these impossible, logic-defying monsters!

If he didn't run right now, at this very second, he knew with absolute certainty that he wouldn't ever get another chance to see tomorrow!

He was naturally timid when completely outmatched, and everything currently happening on this hellish field terrified him beyond human comprehension!

Without a single moment of hesitation or concern for his crew's pride, he violently turned his massive body and fled!

He pumped his short legs, trying to put as much distance between himself and the terrifying black-armored woman as possible.

However, the very exact moment he took a desperate step forward, the space in front of him distorted.

A tall, elegant figure fully clad in menacing black plate armor suddenly appeared directly in front of him, entirely blocking his escape path.

It was Albedo.

Her golden eyes looked down at him with an expression of pure, unadulterated disgust, as if she were looking at a particularly ugly, writhing maggot.

"Damn it! Damn you! You crazy woman, don't you dare block my way!"

Queen roared in pure, unadulterated frustration and rising panic, spit flying from his lips.

He had been fighting for a long time, exhausting his stamina and his arsenal, but the opponent remained completely, utterly unscathed.

Meanwhile, he was heavily damaged and nearly completely exhausted of all physical energy.

And now, she wouldn't even let him run away in disgrace—it was simply too much bullying for his fragile heart to take!

"There's absolutely no other choice..." A deeply fierce, highly toxic look suddenly flashed across Queen's sweating face.

"Since you stubbornly insist on seeking your own agonizing death, then you can be the first to taste my absolute latest, most brilliant research achievement!"

He ground his teeth together, his fingers twitching rapidly over his remaining mechanical weapon systems.

"Although it's technically still a highly unstable, semi-finished product, it is more than enough to easily deal with an arrogant bitch like you!"

He suddenly raised his heavy, customized Gatling arm, aiming it directly at Albedo's chest, and frantically sprayed a barrage of specialized bullets at her!

"Taste this! Plague Bullet!"

The weapons fired with a series of sharp, pneumatic hisses, launching dozens of glass-tipped projectiles glowing with sickly, toxic colors.

However, those highly engineered bullets, which were entirely capable of instantly infecting thousands of ordinary people with flesh-eating viruses in seconds, struck Albedo's black armor.

The glass shattered upon impact, splashing the highly concentrated, lethal biological agents directly onto the dark metal.

Yet, they had absolutely no effect whatsoever. The virulent liquids simply hissed briefly, sparking a few negligible, tiny embers before completely evaporating into harmless steam against the divine defense of her armor.

"What!" Queen's eyes nearly popped completely out of his skull, his cigar dropping from his gaping mouth.

He knew exactly how potent that virus was. It should have melted her flesh through the joints of her armor instantly!

Seeing Albedo completely ignoring the deadly attack and calmly closing in on him step by terrifying step, he completely, utterly panicked.

In a state of sheer, mindless desperation, he pulled out absolutely all of his deeply hidden, secret "masterpieces" from his internal storage!

"Don't you mock me! This is the ultimate biological weapon I developed, the Excite Bullet: Mummy! It will dry you into a husk!"

He fired a barrage of dark green, swirling liquid projectiles.

"And this! My absolute highest, most terrifying masterpiece, the Excite Bullet: Ice Oni! A demonic plague for which even the required antidote hasn't been researched by me yet!"

He fired a second, massive volley of violently freezing, glowing blue liquid bullets.

Two vastly different, highly lethal liquid bullets of strange, glowing colors were shot aggressively towards Albedo all at once, creating a crossfire of biological death.

After desperately firing his entire remaining arsenal, doing all this in a blind panic, he immediately turned his head.

He ran desperately, kicking up dirt with all his remaining might, his heavy mechanical footsteps thudding loudly against the stone.

He laughed loudly and confidently as he ran away, believing he had finally secured his escape through mutually assured destruction.

"Hahahaha! You definitely can't handle this now, can you?! No human body can survive that combination!"

He didn't even look back, completely convinced of his own terrifying, scientific genius.

"If you catch even a single drop of my ultimate virus, anyone who comes into contact with it will instantly die! Die rotting, you damned woman!"

But before his fleeing legs could even take two full steps away from the impact zone, he felt himself violently crashing headlong into a completely solid, immovable hard "wall."

The impact was so abrupt it nearly broke his nose.

He stumbled back, rubbing his face, and slowly, fearfully looked up.

There, standing directly in front of him once again, without a single drop of his lethal plague on her, he saw Albedo's flawlessly beautiful face.

She was looking down at him, wearing a deeply faint, highly enigmatic, and utterly mocking smile.

The confident, victorious smile on Queen's round face instantly froze, shattering into a million pieces.

His eyes were currently as wide as massive copper temple bells, stretching his eyelids to their absolute tearing limit.

His jaw had dropped so low it was almost physically dislocated from his skull.

The glowing, neon words "Absolute Impossibility" were practically plastered clearly all over his massive, sweating face.

"H-how... how is this physically possible? My ultimate viruses... my life's work...!"

Queen stammered, his scientific worldview completely collapsing in real time.

"Why did my concentrated virus attacks have absolutely no effect on your biological body at all? They should have liquefied your organs!"

He pointed a trembling, fat finger at her pristine form.

"What kind of impossible, logic-defying monster are you?!"

"Oh? Viruses? Is that what that pathetic splashing was?"

Albedo tilted her horned head slightly to the side, looking down at his trembling form with the exact, indifferent gaze a goddess reserved for a disgusting, pitiful worm writhing in the dirt.

Her perfectly manicured hand casually brushed a nonexistent speck of dust from her black pauldron.

And then, her soft, alluring red lips parted, uttering a few quiet words that permanently shattered Queen's entire scientific worldview into absolute dust.

"I apologize, I suppose I completely forgot to tell you beforehand. Mere, fragile human viruses..."

Albedo's golden eyes narrowed, glowing with an ancient, dark, and utterly terrifying abyssal light that sent a primal chill straight into Queen's soul.

"...how could they possibly, ever affect the superior biology of a Demon?"

"A de... a Demon???"

Queen's highly advanced, cyborg mind completely crashed.

He was utterly, fundamentally unable to comprehend the terrifying, otherworldly information contained within that short, impossible sentence. Demons were myths!

However, Albedo was absolutely no longer interested in explaining anything further to a piece of trash like him. He had already wasted entirely too much of her precious time.

She smoothly and effortlessly raised the massive, terrifying Black Battle-Axe, 3F, high into the air with a single hand.

The dark metal of the weapon seemed to greedily absorb the ambient light around it, radiating a heavy aura of absolute, certain death.

The very next second, the heavy axe blade violently sliced down through the air, creating a sharp, whistling sonic boom.

It mercilessly, heavily cleaved directly into Queen's thick, cybernetically enhanced chest with unstoppable, catastrophic force.

"Crack...!"

Accompanied by a bone-cracking sound that made teeth ache, Queen's massive body flew away like a struck bowling pin, his scream caught in his throat, as he was sent flying straight out, losing consciousness while still airborne.
