Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: I Am a Good Person

"Sōsuke, you must be a good person. I don't want to see you in Hell!"

In front of the main gate of the Shin'ō Academy, Naraku Sora looked at the brown-haired boy before him and spoke with earnest sincerity.

"Naraku, if your understanding of a 'good person' is based on yourself as the standard, then we will probably hardly meet again in this life."

A trace of helplessness appeared on the brown-haired boy's face.

They were about to graduate and join the squads, yet this guy still looked so unreliable. He was afraid that within a few days, this guy would become so-called cannon fodder.

Naraku Sora was one of the few friends in the Academy he could open up to. He really couldn't bear to see him die young, so some detailed exhortations were necessary.

"The Central Great Underground Prison is not like the Gotei 13. The danger factor there is extremely high. After you go there, you absolutely cannot act recklessly like you did in the Academy."

Until now, Aizen couldn't figure it out. When Naraku Sora had just become a student, he already had the strength of an ordinary Shinigami squad member, and few students could compare to him.

Upon graduation, he had even barely touched the level of a Seated Officer. Although there was still a gap between him and Aizen, it was considered very rare.

However, such a Shinigami with a bright future chose not to become a member of the Gotei 13, but instead turned around and threw himself into the embrace of the Central Great Underground Prison.

This was truly somewhat baffling.

Aizen had also asked Naraku Sora about his thoughts, but he always said some strange things.

Such as cleaning up the filth of Soul Society, or that the justice of the world needed to be defended.

Looking at this guy who didn't seem to be joking, Aizen felt that he was sicker than Soul Society itself.

"Sōsuke, just rest assured, I know what I'm doing."

Naraku Sora replied with a confident face, "As the saying goes, if I don't enter Hell, who will? There is no place more suitable for me to work than the Central Great Underground Prison."

Actually, like Aizen, he also had an unspeakable secret.

A few years ago, Naraku Sora transmigrated to Soul Society. Relying on his talent of Innate Full Soul Power, he successfully became a new student at the Shin'ō Academy.

He originally thought his future would be a smooth path. Even if he couldn't compete on the same stage as those cheaters, getting a position like a Seated Officer or Vice-Captain would make this life worthwhile.

But who would have thought that a deviation would occur in the timeline? This was not any point in time he was familiar with.

Even the future big villain boss, Aizen, was just a new student entering the Academy.

When he learned this intelligence, Naraku Sora almost burned out on the spot and turned into pale ash.

With his little bit of talent, bullying other students of the same grade was fine, but in front of Aizen, he didn't even have the qualifications to be a meat shield.

Although this guy behaved harmlessly on ordinary days, looking like a model student.

But Naraku Sora knew his essence better than anyone.

Just as he was in despair, his Golden Finger arrived late.

[Justice System]

[As the saying goes, my heart and actions are as clear as a mirror, and everything I do is justice. Living in a world where sin originates, you need to combat criminal acts and return a bright and clean universe to Soul Society.]

In human terms: based on the different values of sin, successfully suppressing criminals allows you to acquire corresponding abilities from them.

Such as Zankensoki (Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hoho, Kidō), cultivation insights, special talents, spiritual body strength, Reiatsu values...

But a new problem arose. He was just a student; where would he find criminals, and where would he suppress them?

For this reason, Naraku Sora specially consulted the omnipotent Aizen and finally came to a conclusion.

The place most suitable for this Golden Finger to function was the Central Great Underground Prison of the Inner Court.

Detained there were all the heinous criminals since the founding of Soul Society, including criminals of Captain-level caliber.

And for some unknown reason, the death penalty rarely appeared in Soul Society.

Even the reactionary forces of the nobles who carried out assassinations were only suppressed in a certain layer of the underground prison.

However, prison terms moving in the hundreds or thousands of years were not much different from the death penalty.

Although Shinigami had long lifespans, that was limited to the strong. The lifespan of an ordinary Shinigami was not that exaggerated.

The vast majority of sinners would spend a painful and long time in the underground prison until their lives ended.

After learning this, although Naraku Sora was disappointed, at least he had something to look forward to.

Rather than becoming a Shinigami of the Gotei 13, it was better to directly join the Central Great Underground Prison.

Although suppressing a few heinous criminals wouldn't be enough to lead him to the peak of life, it would at least add some power for self-preservation.

Moreover.

If he remembered correctly, the Aizen in the original work was sentenced to a prison term of twenty thousand years and was later detained in the eighth level of the underground prison, the Muken Hell.

If he were the one to suppress Aizen, what kind of powerful abilities could he extract from him?

Now was fantasy time.

Actually, it wasn't that Naraku Sora hadn't thought about suppressing Aizen in advance, but the gap in martial force between the two sides was too large, and currently, Aizen simply didn't have any sin value.

Even if he suppressed him, he wouldn't be able to extract any abilities.

He helplessly gave up.

Besides, Aizen could be considered one of Naraku Sora's few friends. Backstabbing or something like that was a bit too difficult for him.

Now that he had successfully graduated, it was time to go to the underground prison and fully utilize the power of his Golden Finger.

Naraku Sora was full of confidence.

Aizen looked at the young man in front of him with a calm gaze, trying to see a flaw in his eyes.

However, the other party's eyes held only the purest determination, swayed by no other thoughts.

Seeing this situation, Aizen had to put down the idea of persuasion and smiled:

"I understand."

Just then, the Shinigami responsible for receiving the graduating students to join the squads arrived in front of the Academy. After confirming the list, a Shinigami with an ordinary face came up to the two of them.

Unlike the Shinigami of the Gotei 13, that black Shihakushō had the symbol belonging to the Inner Court.

This person was here to pick up Naraku Sora.

"I should get going, Sōsuke." Naraku Sora seemed a bit worried and emphasized, "You must be a good person!"

Aizen: "..."

Although he knew very well that this guy didn't know anything, when he heard this exhortation, he always felt an inexplicable sense of guilt.

It was as if his secrets had been seen through.

Regarding the arrangements of certain plans, it was better to be more cautious.

Under the urging of the Inner Court Shinigami, Naraku Sora waved his hand at Aizen, then followed the steps and walked towards the interior of the Seireitei.

Watching his friend's retreating figure drifting further away, a trace of imperceptible melancholy flashed in the depths of Aizen's eyes.

The student era filled with friendship and warmth was just an insignificant part of a long journey.

Friendship exchanged with a disguised facade was ultimately fake and would shatter one day.

Perhaps by that time, there would be no one else by his side, right?

Discarding the last bit of chaotic emotion, the brown-haired boy smiled at the 5th Division member walking towards him:

"Hello, I am Aizen Sōsuke..."
