Chapter 292 - Judge Compromises

"What? I've already come to your house, and you're not even inviting me in for tea?"

White Ghost looked at Judge with a smile.

Judge's face turned red as he stared at him.

"What exactly do you want? This is Germa 66. We hold an important position among the World Government's member nations."

White Ghost did not speak.

Lafitte walked over with a false smile.

"A member nation? If I remember correctly, we destroyed one not long ago."

"Urgh…"

Judge's face turned as black as coal. He glared hard at White Ghost.

Reiju gathered her courage and stepped forward, looking at the man in front of her.

He was not releasing any aura at all, yet for some reason, he still made people feel pressure.

White Ghost looked at the woman who could probably claim second place for the best legs in the pirate world, right behind Hancock.

Mm.

The title fit.

Sensing several gazes lock onto his back, White Ghost pulled his eyes away from her legs and coughed twice.

"Ahem. Do you have a question, miss?"

"What do you want? As long as we have it, we can give it to you. The condition is that you don't attack us."

Judge's expression changed.

"Reiju, shut up."

Reiju's smooth forehead creased, but she obediently stepped back.

Ain came to White Ghost's side and looked at Judge with disgust.

"So this is that lunatic?

"The man who would even use his wife and children as tools for his ambitions?"

Both Judge and Reiju suddenly looked at her.

How did she know about that?

Reiju's feelings were complicated. She glanced at her father but said nothing.

White Ghost had already told the people on the ship about Judge.

The others simply thought this man had been swallowed by ambition, someone willing to use anything to achieve his goal.

White Ghost's women, however, had all become furious. If they met him, they wanted to cut him down and be done with it.

Judge suddenly felt the woman in front of him lock onto his aura. Killing intent spread from her body.

Seeing Ain place her hand on her sword hilt, Judge hurriedly said,

"What are you trying to do? I am the ruler of a World Government member nation. You cannot attack me."

White Ghost pressed down on Ain's hand.

When she turned to look at him, White Ghost shook his head.

"Calm down. There are who knows how many people like him on this sea.

"Don't forget why we came here. Otherwise, we'll have wasted a whole year searching."

Hearing that, Ain released her sword hilt.

She still looked at Judge with disgust, as if she wanted to cut him into a thousand pieces.

White Ghost had Issho release the pressure on the three brothers, since the three had already lost consciousness.

Ain walked toward Reiju, too lazy to look at that piece of trash again.

Reiju watched the woman approach and did not move. Ain's words had stirred up painful memories.

Ain stopped in front of Reiju and reached out to wipe away the girl's tears.

"Do you want to leave this place? Our ship happens to need a biologist."

Reiju looked at Ain in silence for a while, then nodded hard.

Judge stared at this scene in disbelief.

He did not dare move recklessly because White Ghost's gaze was still on him.

"Why? Why, Reiju?"

Reiju looked at her father and closed her eyes, trying to keep her tears from falling.

"Father, I don't want to stay in this cold home at all. There's no warmth here. I would rather go somewhere completely unfamiliar than remain here."

White Ghost clapped his hands.

"Alright. Miss, you should know where the data and equipment are. Take everything useful. We happen to be lacking those things."

Nami walked over with White Ghost's storage bracelet in her hand, smiling brightly.

Acier followed her. Although he specialized in machinery, he understood a bit about biology too.

Reiju glanced at her father, then led them toward Germa's research room.

Judge was about to order Reiju to stop when White Ghost's leisurely voice sounded.

"Think carefully. Decide whether you really want to do that before you speak."

Judge froze, unable to say anything. He closed his eyes in pain.

White Ghost smiled and waited quietly.

Issho walked over to the clone soldiers and carefully sensed something.

After a long time, Judge looked at White Ghost with bloodshot eyes.

"You already destroyed one member nation. Now you're attacking me too. Aren't you afraid of the World Government's retaliation?"

White Ghost said nothing. He tossed him a Den Den Mushi.

"Report me, then. I've already destroyed one. I don't mind adding another."

At the end, White Ghost's mouth curved.

"And if you want those five old men to know you were once one of MADS, I can help."

Judge's heart lurched, and panic appeared on his face.

"What exactly do you know? No outsider should know about that."

White Ghost smiled without answering.

Judge felt his skin crawl under that gaze, as if none of his secrets could escape this man's eyes.

Kuro picked up one of the clones and examined it.

"Such fine soldiers, wasted like this. What a shame."

"We'll find another scientist later and see if they can be improved. Ideally, strengthened a little."

Kuro put the clone down.

"Do you have a target?"

White Ghost nodded.

"Two candidates. Both troublesome. One is hard to find, and the other is hard to move against."

After saying that, White Ghost pointed at Judge.

"They were colleagues of this man. A little troublesome."

Judge looked at White Ghost.

"You mean Caesar, don't you? That man likes making poison gas. As for biology…"

At this point, disdain appeared on Judge's face.

White Ghost smiled at him.

"Caesar doesn't have much ability, that's true. But I'm talking about Miss Buckingham Stussy. You should know who she is."

Judge's face darkened.

Of course he knew who that old woman was. She had created a monster on the level of Weevil.

A former member of the Rocks Pirates, also known as Miss Buckingham Stussy.

When she was young, MADS used her as the model to create their first clone, Stussy.

"So you were after me from the start. Ever since you entered the North Blue, I've been hiding from you. I didn't expect… I still ended up caught."

Judge looked up at the sky, his face ugly.

He had been so careful, yet this was still the result.

Who could have guessed this man would attack from the sky?

Half a day later, Nami and the others came back out, along with several scientists in white coats.

Acier nodded to White Ghost, signaling that everything was fine.

White Ghost glanced at the leggy girl.

"Say goodbye to your father. Whether you'll see him again later is another question. The people on my ship don't like this man very much."

Reiju looked at her father.

Judge also looked at his daughter.

He could not stop any of this.

He understood White Ghost's goal now. He would take the equipment and leave. He would not hurt them.

Reiju turned away, took a few steps forward, then stopped.

"Father, take care of yourself from now on. I'm leaving."

After saying that, Reiju boarded the ship with the others without looking back.
