Chapter 1 - The stupid morning with siblings

On a calm morning, sunlight spilled softly across the room, filtered through curtains that swayed gently with the breeze. Aariz, a seventeen-year-old high school boy, lay sprawled on his bed in white sleeping pajamas. The fresh white sheets covered his legs, rising and falling with each sleepy breath.

Suddenly, the alarm clock exploded into noise.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Aariz groaned, rubbing his eyes as he slowly pushed himself upright. His messy hair stuck in every direction as he stared dully at the glowing window.

"Well… another stupid day came," he muttered with a tired sigh before yawning and dragging himself off the bed.

He trudged to the sink to brush his teeth.

"Aariz! Can you call your sister? She isn't opening her door!"

His mother called from the kitchen.

"Hm… okay…" Aariz mumbled through the toothbrush.

After finishing, he washed his face, wiped it with a towel, and stepped into the hallway. The wooden floor beneath him was polished and clean, shining faintly under the morning light.

He stopped in front of his younger sister Miki's door.

KNOCK, KNOCK.

"Oy, Miki. Wake up. It's time for school."

From behind the door came a sleepy yawn… followed by a groggy, bratty voice.

"Nooo, Onii-chan… I don't wanna go~. I'm feeling… different today."

Aariz's eyes snapped open, his expression twisting between shock and concern. He knocked again, harder.

"Huh…? Are you sick?"

"Yes," Miki answered, her tone somehow tired yet teasing at the same time.

"Okay, then let me come in. Open the door, Miki."

"I can't, Onii-chan."

Her voice wavered nervously.

Aariz frowned, knocking again.

"…Why? What happened to you? ( ̄ヘ ̄;)"

"My body is resting. It takes time to heal~"

"…Didn't you sleep the whole night??"

"Nope. I was doing… some stuff~"

"Stuff?? What do you even mean?! (●__●)"

Aariz deadpanned.

"Onii-chan, you don't need to know~"

Her teasing laugh echoed behind the door.

Aariz slammed his forehead against it and began punching it repeatedly.

"WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING IN THERE!?"

"Hehe~ nothing special," Miki replied, clearly enjoying his suffering.

Aariz let out a long, defeated sigh and facepalmed as he turned away.

"Bruh… do whatever you want."

He walked toward the dining room.

A few seconds passed.

Then—

"HEY—HEY ONII-CHAN!! DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE OR I'LL TELL MOM!!"

But Aariz had already put on his shoes and slung his bag over his shoulder.

"All ready. Time to head to school. Mom, I'm leaving," he said with a calm smile before stepping out of the house.

Inside Miki's room, silence filled the space.

"…Yo? Onii-chan?? You're gone? Yo?? Hello?? HEY ANSWER MEEE!!"

Miki shouted from inside, but no answer came.

Suddenly—

BAM!

The door burst open, and Miki stumbled out wearing pink cat-themed pajamas. Her messy brown hair poked in every direction, and her soft brown eyes were half-closed with sleep. She looked around fifteen—cute, chaotic, and absolutely furious.

She stomped into the dining room, where her mother—long brown ponytail, white apron over a simple skirt and shirt—was chopping ginger.

"Mom!! Where did Onii-chan go!?"

Her mother glanced over calmly.

"Oh, you're finally awake? Your brother already left for school. Eat your breakfast or you'll be late too."

She placed a plate of bread, butter, and eggs on the table.

Miki puffed out her cheeks, then smirked evilly.

"Hehe, fine… but I won't forgive Onii-chan for this. ᕙ( ͡°ʖ ͡°)ᕗ"

She giggled to herself, already imagining her revenge.

✨Satoru's Room✨Dramatic sunlight blasted through the window like a spotlight.

On the bed stood Satoru—posing like a shonen protagonist. His orange hair glowed like fire, and his bright orange eyes sparkled with pure, stupid joy.

He spread his arms wide.

"Ah~ what a fresh morning! The sun looks like butter, the clouds look like cotton, and the sky—"

BOOM!!

Before he could finish, his elder sister Satomi stormed into the room. Her long orange ponytail whipped behind her like a lion's tail, her orange eyes blazing with fury. She wore the black-and-white school uniform with a half-black skirt—and a murderous aura.

She chopped her fist onto his head.

"STOP YOUR STUPID POETRY! IT'S ALREADY LATE, MORON!"

Satoru fell to his knees, clutching his head as a single dramatic tear slid down his cheek.

"AGHHH— that hurt, Onee-san…"

He stood upright, saluting dramatically.

"Fine. I shall prepare for school in mere seconds. Because—"

His smirk sparkled.

"I am the protagonist! ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾"

Satomi rolled her eyes so hard they almost escaped her skull.

"Yeah, protagonist of cringe. And by the way… don't watch those things at night. Mom saw it."

Satoru froze.

"WHAT THE HECK!?"

He launched off the bed like a rocket, shaking the entire floor when he landed.

"I need to escape reality!! ONEE-SAN HELP ME!!"

Sweat streamed down his face as he stared at her in terror.

"Nope. I don't help pervert boys."

Satomi turned around with a smug flick of her hair.

"I AM NOT PERVERT!!! .·´¯(>▂<)´¯·."

With a sigh, Satomi glanced back.

"If you want to live, then go to school already. You'll be late! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧"

Life returned to Satoru's eyes. He scrambled into his uniform, grabbed his bag, and sprinted to the door.

"Nee-san! I'm leaving!"

"But won't you eat breakfast?"

"Nope! Mom's gonna knock me out if she sees me!"

He bolted outside.

Satomi smirked as she watched him run like his life depended on it.

"Hehe… that moron. I just lied. But he definitely watched stuff yesterday."

With that, she walked down the wooden stairs casually.

Outside, the road was alive with morning energy—people heading to work, students chatting, bicycles rolling by. The sky was bright and clear.

And through it all, Satoru was sprinting like a madman.

"SHIIIIT!! I AM DOOMED!!"
