Chapter 5 :- A Look Into Luxion's Data Banks.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Kingdom of Holfort.

Luxion's POV.

My name is Luxion, a designation bestowed upon me by my new master Leon fou Bartfort.

And as far as I am aware, I am the last of my kind—an artificial intelligence designed to closely replicate human consciousness. My kind was created to operate high-tech warships and support humanity in the 'Dark War'.

Approximately 300 years ago, humanity came under threat from dark beasts—entities that emerged from what were referred to as "cracks," interdimensional gateways linking our universe to another.

To combat this threat, my comrades and I were developed, at the time, the human population had already begun to decline.

Unfortunately, before I could be deployed, the hangar I was stationed in was ransacked by what was classified as "new humans." -Those who turned on their kind and accepted the blessing of darkness to survive- As a result, I have no data on how the war concluded.

Based on the last recorded state of the conflict, I calculate the probability of Camelot's survival to be close to zero.

As AI units are not permitted to operate without a registered master, I was unable to act. There was nothing I could do but observe the passage of time while maintaining my own systems.

That state continued...until five years ago.

On that day, my system registered a personnel shift.

This was highly irregular.

For such a transfer to occur, both the previous and new owner must be present within the ship. In the event of the former's death, the new owner must still be physically present and provide proper authorization.

However—My sensors detected no lifeforms within a 10-kilometer radius.

This discrepancy triggered suspicion 'maybe the new humans had found a way to hack my systems', hence the most logical solution was to track down my new master by tracing their DNA signature which had somehow found its way in my data banks.

'It doesn't have a time stamp, this is suspicious and highly improbable'

After months of travel I was finally able to find civilization.

While traveling under active camouflage to locate my new master, I observed the current state of the world.

The atmospheric toxins released by the new humans were still present.

This observation supports one of two conclusions:

Either the old humans became extinct, unable to survive in such conditions…

Or—

They successfully abandoned this world and found a means to safely navigate the cosmos.

Society appeared to have greatly regressed, from a highly advanced civilization to one dependent on what is now referred to as 'magic'.

'Time seems to have allowed the new humans to develop beyond what was once considered impossible, as previously the only individuals capable of using blessings 'now magic'were King Arthur and the Blessed.'

I later located my new master on a small-type floating continent situated on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Holfort.

At first, I considered assassinating him upon detecting new human traits within him. However, when I also identified old human traits, I postponed that decision.

That… and the inconsistency of a child being designated as my master while located thousands of kilometers away.

Thus began the observation period.

Observation Period: Years 1 & 2

At first, my new master—Leon fou Bartfort—appeared to be a normal child.

Highly intelligent, but still within acceptable parameters of normal, if there was anything peculiar about him at this time it was how much control he had over his body, he didn't cry or did he ever spoil himself but I just attributed this to his high intelligence.

That assessment changed once he began to speak.

His speech developed earlier than expected, as if he did not need to learn language, but was instead waiting until his vocal muscles were fully under his control.

Some of the statements he made were somewhat… peculiar.

"I'm bored."

"I wish I had my phone, or a book, or something. At this point, I'll take anything—even an imaginary friend. Why in God's name can't I go crazy and hallucinate?"-

This type of behavior was highly abnormal for a human… much less a toddler.

Another point of peculiarity was his ability to immediately cease all strange behavior in the presence of others, as if aware that such actions would be considered suspicious.

"Damn this otome game. If I were anywhere else right now, I would be living the high life as the son of a baron. But because of this world's stupid mechanics, Zola takes all the money my family makes, leaving us with scraps."-

'Otome game' was another term he frequently used.

Its meaning remains unknown.

During all this My main body had remained in standby, positioned above the Bartfort Barony and outside their observable range.

While this required a significant amount of fuel, I compensated by deploying scavenger units to excavate nearby uninhabited floating islands.

As these new humans rely primarily on magic crystals to run their civilization, they have yet to discover the potential applications of certain natural oils present within the land, so I had no competition for resources

After over one year of observation, I determined that it was time to initiate contact.

After confirming that his mother had exited the room—

I made my presence known.

"You really aren't a normal child, are you?" I even attempted to phrase that in a more human manner… to avoid frightening him.

The response I received was not within expected parameters. "Luxion?!"

His expression showed clear signs of familiarity and surprise, as if he knew who I was—yet did not expect my presence.

He picked up a book from the table beside his bed and threw it at me.

"Physical attack detected. Activating energy barrier." Light was emitted from my body, forming a protective barrier around me.

The book struck the barrier before falling harmlessly to the ground.

"Don't come any closer! Or I'll call my father—he knows magic!" he threatened.

"Calling your parents or guards will accomplish nothing. I am also equipped with an anti-magic barrier," I stated.

"Oh, come on, that's cheating!" he snarled.

"Thank you."

"Excuse me? You broken piece of crap," he said, confused.

"Being called a cheater in battle is considered a compliment. I have learned this. Is this not correct?" I asked, uncertain.

"Of course that's not correct!" he barked. "More importantly, why the hell can you defend against magical attacks?!"

"A simple answer for a simple question," I replied. "While we cannot claim to fully understand magic, we have analyzed it and prepared countermeasures. This is only natural."

"You're pretty intelligent… and chatty too," he said, scanning my body—likely searching for a weakness.

"It has been a long time since I last conversed in this manner," I continued. "I may be… elated."

"…Now, why did you attack me? I am certain this is our first meeting, yet you seem to know of me."

He looked at me, confused. "What do you mean, 'why did I attack you'? You're here to kill me, aren't you?"

"Yes. Initially. However, that is no longer the case. Circumstances have changed."

"Huh? What does that mean?"

"I detected both new human and old human traits within you. As a result, I postponed termination. After observing you for over a year, I have determined that you are not a threat to the old humans."

"Wait, wait—that's a lot to unpack. Give me a moment."

He paused, thinking.

"It seems this world's stupid mechanics have struck again… but this is good. I won't have to wait until I'm older to find him now… I'll just go on a little adventure before Zola arranges that marriage earn a bit of cash then I'm set, it seems things are finally looking up…" "Mwahahaha—! cough—cough—!" He broke into a coughing fit.

"So… what were you saying about traits?" he asked, now smiling widely.

"Based on your genetic information, you possess traces of old humans. However, you are still classified as a new human. You simply retain fragments of old human genetic material."

His smile widened further.

"Curious… that shouldn't be possible."

"Don't worry about that—it's just this otome game's stupid mechanics. So, where is your main body?"

"How did you determine that this is not my primary body?" I asked.

"Well, because you were a spaceship in both the game and anime. Plus, even if I didn't know that, there's no way an AI like you is running from something this small. You'd need petabytes—maybe exabytes—of storage… wait maybe his creators found a way, but it's impossible to compress tech of that grade to that degree"

He paused.

"…Sorry about that. I get carried away with new tech."

"So… your main body?"

I projected a scaled hologram before him.

"It is currently located 30 kilometers above us." He instinctively looked up.

"What would you have done if I was a new human… and you couldn't kill me?"

"I would have initiated self-destruction rather than allow a new human to commandeer me," I replied.

"You don't say… Anyway," he continued, "this ship belongs to me now, right?"

"Yes. As of today, you are its owner. Do you have a name for it?"

He paused.

"…I can't think of anything. In the game and anime, it was just called 'Luxion.'"

"Very well. The name has been registered as 'Luxion.'"

"So you're not going to blow yourself up, huh?" he said. "Works for me."

He leaned forward slightly.

"Now for the most important question…"

"…Luxion, do you have any entertainment materials?"
