Chapter 1 - Prologue

—"What the hell is wrong with her…?"

His voice trembled with unease as he stared at the message on his phone.

—"How could you… do this to me…?"

His hand shook violently, the device quivering along with it. The screen displayed a photo of a girl holding another boy's hand. From Hiro's perspective, the boy looked… perfect brown hair neatly combed, black almond-shaped eyes sharp and captivating, dressed in a formal suit for some dance or prom. And the way he smiled, it made Hiro's chest tighten.

Scrolling further through the social media feed, another image appeared. The girl, his ex, the one he had loved for weeks, maybe even longer, was kissing the boy on the cheek.

—"This can't be real… Iya… How could you do this to me? We've been together for years! You broke up with me just a week ago, and now… now you're already with someone else!"

He flung his phone against the wall. It smashed with a loud crack. Tears blurred his vision as he slammed his forehead against the wall until blood ran down his face.

—"This life… fuck this life! FUCKING BASTARD!"

In a moment of desperate rage and despair, he wrapped a belt around his neck, but it slipped loose. He collapsed to his knees, sobbing uncontrollably, drowning in betrayal, jealousy, and pain.

Flashes of memory blurred across Hiro's vision. Every moment they shared, every place they visited, every soft laugh and whispered promise. All of it scattered like broken glass, disappearing in a single, merciless instant.

His first instinct was simple and destructive: end everything. End the pain, end the noise, end himself.

But just as his thoughts spiraled into darkness, a faint vibration echoed across the room. His cracked phone, lying on the floor, lit up with a single notification.

One message.

One line.

—"There's no reason to give up, Hiro."

A message from a faraway friend.. Someone he hadn't spoken to in months.

And then, everything went black.
