"Next, I activate the effect of T.G. Mighty Striker in my GY!"
"When this card is sent from the Monster Zone to the GY, I can activate it. I send 1 'T.G.' card from my Deck to the GY—so I'll send the Counter Trap T.G. Close from my Deck to the GY!"
After slamming the selected card into the GY, Ichiki's voice sharpened with certainty as he pressed the attack.
"Now for the other effect of the Continuous Spell T.G. All Clear: In addition to my Normal Summon, I can gain 1 additional 'T.G.' monster Summon during my Main Phase."
Before the words even finished leaving his mouth, he forcefully slapped a card onto his Duel Disk. A phantom outline of the card flared in orange light.
"I Summon the T.G. Screw Serpent I just searched!"
With the crisp click of the card locking into place, a mechanical sea serpent—built from titanium alloy and glowing energy circuits—burst onto the field. The propeller blades on its back spun at high speed, whipping up a biting gale as it coiled like a steel behemoth.
T.G. Screw Serpent
Level 4 / Sea Serpent / Tuner / Effect
ATK 1300
"I activate T.G. Screw Serpent's effect!" Ichiki stepped forward, finger stabbing toward the GY. "When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, I can target 1 Level 4 or lower 'T.G.' monster in my GY, except this card, and Special Summon it!"
T.G. Rocket Salamander
ATK 600
"Now I'll show you the true pinnacle of the T.G. Deck!" Ichiki raised his arm high. The energy indicators on his Duel Disk flashed like they were about to explode, and both monsters on his field erupted in blinding light.
"Synchro Summon—Level 5! T.G. Over Dragonar!!!"
In that instant, Rocket Salamander became a crimson streak of light, while Screw Serpent unfolded into countless mechanical components. The two streams intertwined and shot into the sky, tearing open a black Synchro pillar through the clouds.
T.G. Over Dragonar
Level 5 / Dragon / Synchro / Effect
ATK 2100
"T.G. Over Dragonar's effect!" Ichiki barked. "If this card is Synchro Summoned, I can activate it. I Special Summon any number of 'T.G.' monsters from my GY in Defense Position!"
Ichiki revealed four cards from his GY in one go.
"I Special Summon Level 1 T.G. Rocket Salamander and T.G. Tank Grub, Level 2 T.G. Mighty Striker, and Level 4 T.G. Screw Serpent—all of them!"
A dense burst of starlight flickered. Four differently shaped mechanical monsters materialized in sequence, bodies lowered into Defense Position as they formed a fortress-like formation—an ironclad wall of steel.
T.G. Rocket Salamander, DEF 0
T.G. Tank Grub, DEF 0
T.G. Mighty Striker, DEF 0
T.G. Screw Serpent, DEF 600
After the swarm hit the field, Ichiki looked straight at Yusaku.
"This effect feels familiar, doesn't it? Pretty similar to that monster you use—Junk Speeder, right?"
He then turned toward the players behind Yusaku with a grin.
"There was one Duel where something you guys said stuck with me. 'Game over! Next, you're going to see my storm-and-gale combo!'"
He pivoted back to Yusaku.
"I'll tweak it and give it back to you. Call it Over Dragonar's version."
"Game over! Next, you're going to see my storm-and-gale combo!"
Yusaku froze for a beat, about to speak—when his own voice cut in, calm and razor-flat.
"Done talking? Because I'm activating a monster effect now."
He lifted his head. His eyes were as still as an ocean frozen right before a storm.
He raised a card in his hand—glowing with a faint golden sheen—then slammed it down onto the Duel Disk.
"From my hand!" Yusaku's voice detonated like thunder. "Nibiru, the Primal Being!"
"If my opponent has Normal or Special Summoned 5 or more monsters this turn, during the Main Phase, I Tribute as many face-up monsters on both fields as possible, then Special Summon this card from my hand. After that, I Special Summon 1 Primal Being Token to my opponent's field!"
Ichiki's smile locked in place. His pupils shrank to pinpoints.
"Before I've even finished setting up… don't get that cocky."
"Rumble—!!!"
The instant Yusaku snapped his fingers, the entire Duel Tower lurched violently. People in the stands grabbed their seats, shock rippling through the crowd.
A裂—like a wound—split open in the air above the arena. From it emerged a meteor engulfed in chaotic flames, massive as a mountain, falling from beyond the heavens with crushing, star-shattering pressure. Space warped and folded along its path, and the virtual data particles making up the scene began to fracture and disintegrate.
"Bro, stop sorting your Deck and look at the meteor!"
A Duelist who'd been tidying his cards looked up and laughed. "You're insane. Since when does Duel Monsters have a card called a mete—"
He didn't finish. His mouth snapped into an O-shape, and the cards in his hand slipped from his fingers with a clatter as he stared at the screen, utterly dumbstruck.
"BOOM!!!"
Ichiki's five mechanical monsters vanished like snow under a blazing sun—no time even for metal to scream as it twisted—vaporized and erased under the meteor's absolute force.
Primal Being Token
ATK 5800
"Oh, yeah! That's it! Yusaku—drop it on him! Smash him! Look at him acting all cool for nothing!"
"Storm-and-gale combo? Combo my ass! Everything got wiped—so where's the 'game over' at? Tell me, where's the 'game over'?!"
Drowned in ridicule from the stands, staring at a field that had been emptied in an instant, Ichiki's eyes went bloodshot. His chest heaved.
"You had that card the whole time. You didn't use it because you were waiting for me to fill the field!"
"Bingo." Yusaku snapped again. "No prize, though. Still, comparing your face just now to your face right now? That's more fun than any reward."
Ichiki's chest rose and fell hard.
"You…"
In the end, he couldn't squeeze out a second word. He glanced at the cards in his hand, snorted, and turned away.
"My turn ends!"
"Oh?" Yusaku raised an eyebrow. "You're not giving up? Fine. My turn—draw!"
The moment the card hit the table, Ichiki suddenly threw his head back and burst into laughter.
"Hahaha! Didn't expect this, did you?! I brought this card early. I activate it in your Draw Phase—Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood!"
"I discard this card from my hand to activate it. For the rest of this turn, whenever you Special Summon a monster during your Main Phase or Battle Phase, I gain LP equal to that monster's ATK!"
Yusaku didn't waste words. He drew and immediately slammed a card onto his Duel Disk.
"Since you activated a monster effect during my turn, and there's a monster on the field, I activate Triple Tactics Talent from my hand—add 2 cards from my Deck to my hand!"
As the searched cards slid into his hand, Yusaku's eyes sharpened.
"I send Duamutef, Blessing of Horus to the GY, and activate its effect—then I send Imsety, Glory of Horus from my Deck to the GY!"
Two cards dropped into the GY in succession. Yusaku drew another card and continued without pause.
"Next, I activate Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. Then I activate the Continuous Spell King's Sarcophagus!"
The moment the three pieces were in place, the arena seemed to darken under an ancient pressure—as if an old god's gaze had settled over the field.
Duamutef, Blessing of Horus, ATK 0
Imsety, Glory of Horus, ATK 3000
Hapi, Guidance of Horus, ATK 2400
Staring at the three monsters, Ichiki frowned. He ran through his memory and found nothing on them, then let out a muffled snort.
"I don't care what kind of 'no-chain Special Summon' nonsense this is. As long as the monsters you Special Summon have ATK, I recover LP equal to their ATK!"
"You Special Summoned monsters with ATK, so I recover LP equal to those monsters' ATK!"
A small figure in a nun-like outfit circled Ichiki once, and the LP display on his Duel Disk shot upward.
[Ichiki, LP 8000 → 13400]
Looking at his Duel Disk, Ichiki lifted his chin and gave Yusaku a cold smile.
"Yusaku, my LP is over ten thousand now. You'd better try harder. Push it past twenty thousand."
Yusaku glanced at him. "Even if your LP breaks 20K, I can still drop you."
Ichiki's smile froze. "?"
Yusaku revealed a blue card from his hand.
"I activate Starlight Kuriboh's effect. I reveal 1 'Number' Xyz Monster in my Extra Deck, Special Summon this card from my hand, and its Level becomes the same as the revealed monster's Rank."
He flipped open his Extra Deck. A dragon radiating oppressive power was revealed.
"I reveal Number 97: Draglubion. I Special Summon Starlight Kuriboh and make it Level 8!"
Blue light flashed. A deep-blue Kuriboh, its body traced with starlight patterns and slightly larger than normal, appeared on the field.
Starlight Kuriboh
ATK 100
[Ichiki, LP 13400 → 13500]
"This is where it clicks."
The moment Yusaku revealed what was in his Extra Deck, the players instantly understood. One by one, they stared at Ichiki with expressions that turned increasingly complicated.
"Damn… that monster alone puts you in bed for at least ten days."
"No, you're lowballing it. Bare minimum, a month."
On the field, Yusaku swept his arm forward, voice ringing through the arena.
"I overlay the Level 8 Starlight Kuriboh and Duamutef, Blessing of Horus!"
"Xyz Summon—Rank 8! Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord!"
Two beams of light became golden meteors and shot into the sky, colliding to form a massive golden vortex. From it descended a galaxy warrior in silver-white armor, wielding a Photon greatsword. Gems on the armor flashed like stars, and stardust swirled around him.
Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord
Rank 8 / Warrior / Xyz
ATK 2500
[Ichiki, LP 13500 → 16000]
"Not done yet!" Yusaku's momentum surged. "Now I overlay Imsety, Glory of Horus and Hapi, Guidance of Horus!"
"Xyz Summon—Rank 8! Number 97: Draglubion!!!"
The two Horus monsters turned into golden light and soared into the vortex. A dragon roar shook the air as a massive dragon tore through—its body covered in black-and-white dual-colored scales. Its horns were wrapped in a gravity field, and its long, coiling body blanketed half the arena, every breath tugging at the surrounding energy.
Number 97: Draglubion
Dragon / Effect / Xyz
Materials: 2
ATK 3000
[Ichiki, LP 16000 → 19000]
Watching his LP near twenty thousand, Ichiki folded his arms and smirked.
"One more! One more monster and my LP breaks 20K! I want to see you take out twenty thousand in one turn—plus that 5800 ATK Token you handed me!"
Yusaku smiled slightly. "Sure, I can give you one more. But it's the last monster you're seeing this turn."
Ichiki: "???"
Yusaku thrust an arm toward the black-and-white dragon.
"I activate Number 97: Draglubion's effect! I detach 1 material, then Special Summon a 'Number' Dragon from my Extra Deck!"
"I choose Number 100: Numeron Dragon, and I attach Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy to it as Xyz Material!"
A blinding golden light erupted behind Yusaku, blasting through the surrounding energy barrier like an unstoppable spear and shooting into the sky. Yusaku raised the card high, his coat whipped by the roaring wind.
"Descend—Number 100: Numeron Dragon!!"
