Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Reborn!

Roge designed an incredibly difficult training regimen for Linlin, but as the days passed, Linlin brought him more and more surprises.

On the first day, after completing the training, Linlin still had plenty of energy left.

The next day, Roge increased the intensity to several times that of an elite soldier's training.

Yet, Linlin still hadn't reached her limit.

On the third day, Roge increased the volume tenfold.

Only then did Linlin finally exhaust herself completely, collapsing onto the ground and looking at Roge with big, resentful eyes.

It took her over ten minutes just to catch her breath and stand up.

Roge nodded in satisfaction. It seemed this amount of training was just right for her.

Just when he thought that was the limit, Linlin's performance the next day made his jaw drop.

After the training ended, Linlin collapsed from exhaustion again.

But this time, she recovered her strength and stood up after resting for only a few minutes.

Her recovery time was cut in half compared to yesterday.

Seeing this, Roge was utterly speechless, sighing inwardly:

She really is a little monster!

A five-year-old girl, handling a training volume ten times that of an elite soldier, lifting giant boulders larger than herself with ease.

With a casual punch, she could shatter those boulders into countless fragments as if they were tofu.

Her defensive capabilities were equally freakish.

Swords and blades struck her body without leaving a mark; they couldn't even break her skin.

She was an unadulterated little monster!

Roge could already envision the near future where Linlin would become a top-tier powerhouse, her name echoing across the seas!

She might even become the World's Strongest!

Those so-called strongmen of the sea would be nothing but children in front of her!

"Alright, Linlin. That's it for today's training. We'll continue tomorrow!"

"Oh, yay! Training is finally over! Linlin wants to eat yummy food!"

"Linlin is going to find Big Brother to play!"

Hearing Roge's words, Linlin instantly revived to full health, skipping away happily to find Reno.

Roge opened his mouth, but no words came out.

Is that really what someone who just finished training looks like?

Time passed day by day.

Before they knew it, Reno had been on the island for half a year.

Most of that time was peaceful.

Roge guided Linlin's training every day, while Reno adapted to the new powers he had acquired.

Of course, there were minor incidents. Over the six months, several small pirate crews passed by.

Some left without docking.

Others came ashore to hunt for treasure.

When they discovered Reno and Linlin and harbored evil intentions, Linlin dealt with them all in a flash. No one else needed to lift a finger.

One day.

At Linlin's daily training ground.

Months of relentless training had turned the once-flat ground into a pitted landscape, filled with massive craters, unrecognizable from its original state.

These were the marks left by Linlin during her sparring sessions.

Reno stood opposite Linlin and Roge.

"Young Master, do you wish to personally test Linlin's strength?" Roge asked with a hint of anticipation.

For a full half-year, he had witnessed Linlin's growth—the growth of a monster.

Six months of day-in, day-out training had completely transformed her. She had been reborn.

If he could defeat her with combat experience in the beginning, now he stood no chance. Linlin's combat experience was no longer inferior to his.

In other aspects, he had zero chance of winning.

Up to this point, there was nothing left he could teach Linlin.

"That's right. Just you and Linlin."

"Come on. Let me see how much you two have grown during this time!" Reno said slowly.

"The two of us??"

Hearing this, Roge frowned.

He knew nothing about the rewards Reno had received and his impression of Reno's strength was still stuck at their last sparring session.

Back then, Reno could only fight to a draw against him when he was using seventy percent of his strength.

Although Reno would disappear for a while every time he trained Linlin, and loud noises would soon follow from the other side of the island, Roge assumed Reno was just training there and didn't pay it much mind.

Even if Reno was talented and had trained hard for six months, his strength would at most be on par with Roge's. He might struggle just to handle Linlin alone.

Let alone the two of them teaming up.

"Hehehe... Big Brother, I'm super strong now, you know."

Linlin didn't overthink it. Six months of training allowed her to get into the zone quickly.

"Big Brother, be careful!"

"Half Burial!!"

Linlin raised her longsword and swung it casually. A flying slash, dozens of meters long, tore through the air, ripping through the atmosphere as it hurtled towards Reno.

"Linlin!!"

"Oh no! Young Master, watch out!!"

Roge turned pale with fright. He hadn't expected Linlin to use such a ruthless move right from the start.

Even for him, this attack would be extremely difficult to handle; he would have to use every defensive measure he had to block it.

Without thinking, Roge rushed towards Reno.

Wherever the flying slash passed, the ground split open layer by layer, carving out a deep ravine dozens of meters long.

The air along its path was sucked away, appearing distorted to the naked eye.

"Not bad!"

Reno nodded slightly. He extended his right hand and caught the slash with his bare hand.

The immense power carried by the slash tried to destroy Reno's defense, but it couldn't leave a single scratch on his hand, failing even to break his skin.

SNAP!

Reno exerted a little force, and with a crisp sound, the flying slash was crushed into nothingness.

Roge, who was rushing to the rescue, froze in his tracks.
