Chapter 9 - 5.0

CHAPTER 5: THE STORM

10:35 pm…

Mirio poked his head from his hideout, looking at the mingling amount of teens and the odd adult here and there, all taking seats and actually talking excitedly about what was going to happen.

Mirio idly spotted Yagi in the crowd, seating as well, but Mirio could see how tense he was, not that he could blame him, he was tense too.

Mirio brought a finger to his ear, and a click was heard in it, "Sir, I am already inside, spotted contact on the crowd, no signs of the Midoriyas, but I see a lot of most wanted from at least three prefectures" he called silently.

"Acknowledged, surveillance confirms your findings, we are taking position and waiting for time of initiation, have you planted them?" Sir's voice made Mirio's already tense nerves to calm, if slightly.

"I have, the turret network is down, they don't know it yet" Mirio answered.

"Good, we still have to contest with the BOW's they have in storage, but between Mirko, Endeavor and Best Jeanist in the frontline, I am confident we can overwhelm them"

"Sir, I am too, but I am worried, what if they bring the Midoriyas?"

"That's why we have to mobilize with extreme speed and strike with extreme prejudice, we cannot let them gather their wits about, we need those projectors down, and without them we can fight without risk our Quirks failing on us"

The discovery that the coliseum had several projectors of light that acted as Eraserhead's own Quirk, but on a greater, more painful scale, reports were scatter, but the blueprints of these projectors showed they emitted the same type of radiation Eraserhead's Quirk did when activated, but on a higher scale, at least twenty times stronger, such a exposure caused pain directly to the Quirk factor, it was one of their most effective defenses, as the creatures they used had no Quirks, they were mutated to a degree they looked like they had, but none of them had a Quirk.

Coupled with the pain factor those projectors will cause, and you can have a massive force like theirs being destroyed by a small force, that could not be allowed.

Mirio kept to the rafters, keeping low and making his way into the main control room, it was a little touch and go, not because he wasn't stealthy enough, but because he had to time this right, at eleven they had to start moving, they could not allow them to even start…whatever they were planning-

Mirio stopped, and so did many people inside, something felt…the air rippled, and the lights began to fade.

The air rippled, the last time this happened, he had met Izuku, and he was screaming his lungs out, something was up.

"Mirio, what's going on there?"

"Sir?"

"There is a massive thunderstorm basically hammering the area as we speak, it came out of nowhere"

Then the lights went out.

9:55 pm…

Inko was in panic, her son was in pain, and she didn't know what to do.

Whatever that…bastard shot at her son's forehead was no longer there, at least visibly, she could see the outline, under his skin, pushing outward, pulsing, making her son suffer.

She wanted to dig her nails in and tear that thing from her son's forehead, but she didn't knew what effects it might have, only that his worst and darkest emotions and fears, she wasn't a psychologist, but she knew her son had enough baggage to make a licensed shrink to wonder why it took this long to bring him in.

To her side the little girl was as worried as her, maybe by proxy she didn't knew, only that she was worried about her son state-

An electric current made Inko jump away and take the girl with her, she didn't fear her son, she would never, but she had to be realistic in this case.

Right now her son, whom she loved with all her heart, was being assaulted by all the negative emotions he had tried to keep bottled up, coupled that with the Light, the very same Light she saw him use to bisect two monsters three times his size and height and disintegrate two more at a distance, leaving just their imprints on the wall, now being affected by his fluxing emotions, not to mention that the projector in the room, while able to suppress her Quirk and Eri's own, was unable to suppress something that Izuku called 'paracasual' meaning that it would require something of equal of superior magnitude to do so.

Right now her son was the most dangerous person in the room, if not the entire edifice, and all she could do was hope her son could fight it off.

Another discharge or energy, this time a dark purple energy that pulsed with power, before receding and then becoming flames, flames that boiled the ground beneath her son's form.

All she could do now was hope.

The Void was not this black, nor this cruel.

YOU ARE NOTHING!!

The Void does not scream, for within the Void there is a certain amount of peace.

SURRENDER YOUR WILL!!!

Agony, the Void was both agony because it existed in a place between andohmygodsomeoneshutthatthingoff!

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A DEKU!!!

Izuku screamed as the darkest recedes of his mind took a life of their own and began a campaign of destruction on his mind.

DIE! DIE! DIE!! A THOUSAND TIMES DIE!!!

Izuku clutched his head in pain, curling into a ball as he tried in vain to drown the screams of…whatever this thing was, all he knew it was a formless amalgamation of everything negative in his psyche, which turned to be nine years' worth of bullying, systematic abandonment by society, a dream slowly shattering and the trauma of several attacks had created something…wicked.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

SUFFER! YOU DESERVE TO SUFFER!!

"aaaaaaAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS!

YOU ARE ALONE!

YOU HAVE NO ORIGINAL DREAM!!

YOU DO NOT BELONG!!!

YOUR QUIRK IS PATHETIC!!

YOUR MOTHER HATES YOU!!

YOUR FATHER IS ASHAMED!!

WORTHLESS!!!

USELESS!!

DEKU!!!

DEKU!!!

DEKU!!!

YOU ARE-

"STOOPPPPPPP!"

The Void simply shifted at his desperate yell, the darkness that seemed to drown it all began to shift a little as whatever was the amalgamation of his darkest emotions receded, either threatened or satisfied Izuku could not tell.

He didn't want to uncurl, he felt safe in the way he was now, he-he-he-

"Izuku, son, please, wake up"

Izuku slowly opened his eyes, trembling, he felt…cold.

He wanted warm, he wanted…

But what would he get? He was worthless, a deku that deserved nothing.

YES

His mom hated him, she was afraid of him-

"I am sorry I ever doubted you"

He…he…people got hurt when he was around-

"Walk with me"

He…wasn't…alone-

"…Eri"

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Izuku looked up from his position, he wasn't even amazed by the transparent, but easily tangible purple bubble around him, shimmering with its own light and seemingly making a light of its own in the dark.

He wasn't even surprised that the darkest emotions on the deepest recedes of his mind took the form of Bakugou, because part of him associated him with half of them, heck he wasn't surprised that he was dressed in the uniform of Aldera High.

What surprised him was that the apparition was sharply dressed, not the messy way Bakugou usually dresses, uncaring of how others look at his way of dressing, because he only cares others look at his Quirk.

He doesn't even notice that the Bakugou apparition is exuding black mist until it begins to talk-

YOU PIECE OF TRASH!!!

It is not talking because the lips didn't moved, nor the face, there was no expression in the face, it was blank.

Izuku felt anger, and he knew why.

YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS!!!

"I have…Mikaela" Izuku slammed the palms of his hands on the 'ground, the bubble around him stirred.

YOU ARE ALONE!!!

"I have mom" his knees slammed the 'ground' finding purchase to stand up.

YOU HAVE NO ORIGINAL DREAM!!!!

"My dream…is my own" his eyes blazed as he began to rise up.

YOU DO NOT BELONG!!!

"No, you don't belong" his voice carried over the Void and made it rumble.

The apparition seemed angry at this, shaking its head in frustration, its face still blank.

YOUR QUIRK-

"Can break you!" Izuku intoned as the tattoos on his left arm began to glow.

YOUR MOTHER-

"Is the kindest, greatest woman I have ever know!!" the Void trembled with his declaration, six arms emerged from his back, purple and pulsing with the Void.

YOUR FATHER-

"Is proud of having me!!" the apparition was now trembling, trembling in anger Izuku could tell.

NO-NO-NONONONONONONONONONONONONONNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Izuku didn't cared that this thing was having a mental breakdown of its own, this thing…this…monster…it dared…he dared…Honda dared to violate his mind, just because he thought himself superior!

The bubble around Izuku vanished, but Izuku didn't cared, right now he had something to do.

This thing was stopping him from returning to his mother…to little Eri…

To defend them.

YOU ARE MINE!!!!

The apparition lunged at Izuku, arms that elongated almost comically, the face didn't change.

Izuku had other idea in mind, he stood his groundbecauseheisawall.

His six arms easily caught the elongated ones, the grip strong enough to bend metal beams with ease, Izuku commanded them to do so, and the elongated arms of the apparition broke like twigs in his armsbecauseheisawall.

The apparition screamed in agony, a sound that was akin to nails dragging on a chalkboard, one Izuku silenced as he motioned his arms to push the apparition to him, left fist cocked back and glowing purple, ready to break the apparition's facebecauseheisthewallinwhichthedarknessbreaks.

With a yell of utter anger, Izuku lets loose a fist that symbolizes nine years of bullying, anger compression and making his mother cry, anger because he could not face his demons and cull them, anger because he didn't cared enough about himself butheisawallandwallsdontcare.

The shield forms before it meets the face of the apparition, and it caves the face of the apparition with brutal ease, the force of impact is great, great enough that, with the elongated arms still in his hands, are cleanly ripped of its sockets as the body of the apparition is blasted away.

Izuku didn't mind the purple shield in his left arm, or the fact the tattoos there were glowing the same color as the shield because he is a wall, because walls break anything that dares attacks them, and walls don't care.

The apparition simply bounced once, twice and somehow did a somersault in its third bounce, landing on its feet, arms missing and face disfigured.

Izuku found it appropriate.

YOU DARE!!!!

Izuku answered by assuming a combat stance, shield up front and Siren Arms balling fists and raised up.

"I do" and with that Izuku charged at the apparition.

Inko didn't knew a lot of things about her son Quirk, which was kinda okay, given the fact that part of it apparently broke several laws of physics by simply existing in him.

And no, the extra arms, despite being ethereal in nature, were pretty standard in today's society.

It was what he called 'The Light' what worried her, not because it was powerful, powerful enough to still function even with this Quirk suppressor light above them, but because it could do.

Her son called it a 'paracasual' force, she didn't knew much about it, to be perfectly honest, but she understood some words and actions, in this case mot, if not everything in the world was tied to the laws of action and reaction, cause and effect.

A sun being born was one of them, it needed something to become that, cause, the effect was the sun in itself, the heat it produced, the light it shed, cause and effect.

But Izuku's Light was different, it was 'beyond causality' it was beyond those laws, there was no cause, there was just the effect, and that scared her.

There was also the fact it happened to be a fictional power that no one in the world had a business in having, yet her son saw fit to have because it provided a tactical advantage, trust her son to get the power not because it's cool or flashy, because it was both, throwing laser beams and thunderbolts out of his hands to such a degree that vaporizes is something every kid wants, but because there was no legitimate way to counter it with Quirks.

How can you counter something that it's out of the fundamental laws that rule most actions in the world, not laws on paper made by lawmakers, but laws of hard science that cannot be countered no matter how bad you try it, simple, you can't.

That's why he was fighting Phantasm, when it was painfully obvious that it had never been attempted before.

Inko was no Quirk genius like her son, but she had a mind of her own, and she knew that the seed that was fired by Principal Honda (soon to be dead) was some sort of psychotropic, it would explain why her son had such a reaction, it had to had anesthetics as well, because she saw several 'roots' under her son's forehead, growing under his skin, she could see the origin point, the point of impact of the seed Honda fired.

He had to had used it several times to know what it did, something like that had to be tested multiple times to know what it does, and frankly it horrified her, to know that someone was tortured to perfect that Quirk in particular.

A pulse of purple energy made her focus again on her son, and how he struggled against…whatever Phantasm tried to break him against, she could only imagine what horrors that thing could be making to break her son's mind, but there was a sense of calm as well, knowing that her son was fighting it, using the very thing that Quirk seemed unable to fight well enough and was empowering her son.

"What do we do?" Eri suddenly asked, wrapped against her side, her red eyes focused on Izuku's fallen and glowing form.

"I don't know" Inko muttered to the little girl, holding her, as it was the only thing she could do right now, try to comfort-

"What the" Inko suddenly said, focusing her attention on her son, or more precisely, his forehead…and how something broke skin and was slowly being pushed-

Eyes wide, Inko let go of Eri and rushed to her son's side, not even caring about the volatile energy that could render her to molecules if so, but Inko didn't care, her son needed her help.

And right now she could see how she could, looking at her fingertips, or better said her nails, and the protruding seed, already drawing blood due to the rupture of skin, Inko made her choice.

Her son was fighting in his mind, he wasn't giving up, like in all his life so far, he wasn't giving up, even with the odds stacked against him.

Why should she give up? Why not follow her son example and simply fight on?

So she reached, the tips of her fingers couldn't reach the tip of the seed, but her nails could, so she did that.

The moment she touched the seed, her body seized up ash she blinked-

And was greeted with her son basically caving Katsuki's Bakugou chest with a glowing purple shield, all while the area around them was either as dark as the void of space or glowing a purple that she knew Mitsuki and Masaru had been looking for one of their works.

YOU WHORE!!!!

"…The fuck you said to me?" Inko muttered, already marching to the armless, face-bashed, chest caved abomination that looked like Katsuki Bakugou-

BAMMM!!

A vicious right hook from her made the thing fall to its back, teeth that were still attached to its gums flew off, Izuku stopped another attack with his purple shield, actually looking surprised at her appearance, right now she didn't put much attention to him, but rather this…thing.

I'M GOING TO RAPE YOU!!!!

"You bastard" Izuku hissed from behind her, Inko didn't even reprimand him for his bad language, because she right now had a rough idea of Phantasm.

What the principal said might be right, but he was omitting something else, something she assumed the moment he gloated about his Quirk.

He had to had some influence over how the dark thoughts of the affected presented themselves and acted to the affected, because she knew that her son, even in his worse, would never act and say the things this…thing said to her right now.

And surely the principal must have some inherence on what appearance this takes as well, why not force it to take the form of someone that tormented her son?

So with that in mind, Inko did something she knew would only do to the principal once she gets her hands on him.

YOU ARE NOTHING!!!

I EXIST BEYOND YOUR REACH!!!

I AM INEVITABLE!!!

"No" Inko whispered, then kneeled on top of the thing, hands poised to the face, "You're not inevitable, I am a mother, a mother that will do anything for her son!" she screamed, not noticing how her son looked at her, "And guess what? You're within reach"

Her hands seized the bashed head, her thumbs crooked towards the eyes of the thing, and she plunged them.

The dark of her son's mind began to flicker even more as the wails of the thing began to grow more and more in volume as she forced her whole weight onto her thumbs and the eyeballs of the abomination that screamed and screamed like the trash it was.

"THAT'S RIGHT SCREAM!!" Inko bellowed, "I WANT YOUR MASTER HEAR YOU SCREAM!!!"

STOP!!! IT HURTS US!!!!!

"STOP!?" Inko snapped/asked, "STOP??? YOU WERE RAPING MY SON'S MIND! I'M NOT STOPPING!! NOT UNTIL I BREAK YOU IN TWO!!!"

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

"Mom" Izuku whispered, approaching her as she continued her assault, Izuku didn't heard the sound of something breaking or groaning in pressure.

"I'M GOING TO DO YOU LIKE I'M GOING TO DO HIIIMMMMMM!" with a yell Inko forced her whole weight on her hands and something broke.

CRACK!!!

The skull of the thing that looked like Katsuki Bakugou caved in under Inko's grip, instead of blood flying alongside brain matter, the skull expelled a noxious looking material that looked like tar, and began to hiss and melt away alongside the body.

Izuku was already reaching for his mother, really shocked by what she did, it wasn't every day you see your affable and kind-hearted mother cave someone's head off all while gouging their eyes too, screaming her lungs out all while at it and making death threats you expect a villain, or a Borderlands Psycho would spout, but with less Hamlet and more indignant fury.

The moment he touched his mother's shoulder, who was still kneeling, there was light-

And Izuku gasped, and Inko gasped, and Izuku felt pain when Inko pulled the seed from his forehead and possibly some skin.

Eri was by now, just a bystander, and just saw how Izuku sat up, gasping in panic and seeing how Inko fell to her butt, shocked as well and the seed on her fingertips being tossed aside, covered in blood and actual roots.

Izuku for his part looked around, eyes darting like crazy, when his eyes fell on Inko, he literally dragged himself towards her, and once close he hugged her, hard, his tattoos glowing, as if reacting to his emotions.

"Mom" Izuku said, holding his mother in a bear hug, Inko did the same, clearly relieved by her son's reaction.

"Mom, you didn't need to do that" Izuku whispered, holding his mother close, "You didn't need to" he repeated.

"I had to" Inko said, pulling away of the hug and holding her son's face with her hands, noting the tears on his eyes, she felt her own tears, but didn't mattered, her son was safe.

"You didn't had to" he said, "It was my problem, I had to deal with it" Izuku stated, looking at his mom with teary eyes, Inko just shook her head.

"You're my son, your problems are MY problems, I helped…create that thing too" she said, "I'm sorry you had to see me do that but I don't regret it, for you, anything" she said, holding her son again in a hug.

Izuku for his part just closed his eyes, hugging his mom, but his thoughts drifted towards everything that has happened so far, and who was responsible for this whole mess.

His eyes hardened, a scowl appeared on his face, despite having quite literally beating his darkest thoughts and seeing his mom cave its head and gouge its eyes, the fact remained, this shouldn't had happened, he shouldn't had confronted his darkest emotions, his mother shouldn't had confronted his darkest emotions, there shouldn't be a little girl around and trapped with them because Bee thought her retarded way of thinking was the way the world was supposed to run.

Because the principal thought the same.

Because a bunch of people outside their cell though the same!

Izuku, at that point, finally became angry, really, really, angry.

Releasing his mother form the hug, Izuku slowly stood up, taking deep breaths, Arc energy began to travel around his body as he looked at the source of the light in the room, the projector/lamp, he glared at it, focusing on it.

"Izuku" Inko called, looking as her son's body began to glow with the same electricity he called Arc.

"Mom, step back" Izuku hissed as he concentrated all he could on his hands, the projector was scrabbling his Quirk, and therefore most of his powers, which meant at some level his Quirk allowed his powers to exist, messing with it meant messing with his powers.

Yet the Light of the Traveler resisted.

Izuku growled, fingers twitching, arms trembling, Inko saw this and retreated back to Eri, actually holding her close as the girl looked back and forth-

Izuku yelled as he launched his hands towards the projector, a stream of pure Arc energy emanating from his fingertips with a powerful crack, like a thunderbolt, and impacted the projector.

Instantly the projector burst into sparks and fire, failing and dying out as the light it emitted died out, bathing the room black, only the small fire its destruction caused lighting the room, if a little.

Inko immediately felt the pain leave her hands, as if a pressure was lifted, she noted how Eri began to rub her horn in a shooting manner, a relieve look on her face.

Then the room light up as Izuku's extra arms came out, the blue arms began to crackled with Arc energy, and so did Izuku, she could hear his harsh breathing, her son wasn't okay.

"Izuku, dear, are you okay?" she dare ask the obvious.

The silence lasted a second, it felt way too longer for Inko.

"No, mom, I'm not okay" Izuku hissed, the room shook with his voice, "I am all but okay" the walls vibrated, and Eri clutch closer to her.

"We were kidnapped, we were drugged, we were mistreated by a LUNATIC" the floor seemed to ripple with his voice.

"Worse of all, they dragged an innocent to this mess" Eri actually blinked at that, "Someone who had nothing to do, and they…they…DARED" Izuku screamed, actually screamed the last words, making Inko feel her organs vibrate over that, "Dared to actually say it was a punishment, a punishment!" Izuku bellowed, and there the Arc energy reached its apex.

Inko would describe Izuku's first landfall as Izuku exploding into Arc energy, a bolt of electricity hitting him from apparently nowhere, hitting him and the ground beneath him, making the Obsidian under him to crack by the sudden explosion.

Oddly, Eri didn't yell at that, Inko did, it was like seeing a lightning bolt suddenly hitting just feet from her.

As he floated, Izuku raised his head, and she could see how angry he was.

"No mom, I am not angry…I AM FURIOUS!!" he screamed, and there Inko felt…pity, it lasted a second.

She felt pity for everyone that was about to cross her son's path, and hers, he wasn't the only angry person in this cell right now.

"MUL QAH DIIV!!" Then her son exploded in a rainbow of colors, lighting the room, wisps of energy exploding form him and then forming around him, taking the form of…spiky scales, his arms, all of them were covered in the same energy, so did his torso and head, with the spectral looking armor covering him up and glowing a rainbow of orange, red, yellow, blue and white, it looked more like a flashy technique or something.

But she could not deny that her son looked intimidating right now.

"LAAS YAH NIR!" he screamed again, and she saw her son look around, a scowl forming on his face and growing deeper and deeper, then turned to the wall from where the principal and Bee had appeared, and her son seemed to focus directly on that spot.

"GOL HAH DOV!" a blast of energy came out of his mouth, impacting the wall, and making it groan, a groan that seemed to expand all over the room.

"Mom" Izuku called her, "There are two guards right outside, I'm going to take them out" he called, she instantly understood what he was planning, and began to stand up, Eri clutching her hand for support.

"Bex" and with a single word, the wall began to split in two, like a door opening, opening to his command, to his will, there Inko saw the two guards that were just starting to turn around.

Two guards were dressed in skin tight leather one piece suits she noted, with tactical vests under their torsos, elbow and knee pads covering so said areas, holding what she assumed was an MP5A5 machinegun, and old but reliable gun, in capable hands, they also had masks, gas masks with what she assumed were tactical goggles covering their eyes.

Their hunched appearance, longer than average arms, like chimpanzees made her realize what those things were the moment they let out a shriek, Bio Organic Weapons.

"WULD" then her son blurred from sight, and he was in an instant, in front of the creatures-

CRACK!!

And the creatures heads, and a good chunk of their shoulders was forcefully rammed into the wall behind them, the guns in their hands falling due to the sudden impact and…where they deflating?

Sure enough the creatures began to deflate, actually deflate, leaving only their clothes behind, and a small hiss, indicator of their demise.

Inko slowly began to stand up, taking Eri's hand and motioned her to follow her, Izuku still remained on the entrance, looking at the hall with a scowl, once outside she realized why.

Several of those green armored individuals, the ones with the pikes in their arms were present, at least five, the hiss of their gas-masks making her narrow her eyes.

"Eri-chan, stay behind me" Inko said, reaching for her Quirk, she found it still working, even after such ordeal with the projector, and somehow stronger, as it pulled the MP5A5 from the ground and into her hands with ease, the gun in question was not heavy, most of its original components were replaced with alloys to reduce weight and make it easier to carry, this was no exception, but bullets were still bullets, and this variant obviously had a forty round magazine.

It was just like the one she used in basic.

Pity it didn't had a suppressor, this ones made a lot of noise, the safe was off, the rate of fire was set on burst fire, yanking the clip and looking at the exposed round, she rose an eyebrow, 9mm Spartan ammo, fragmentation rounds, tear trough soft tissue upon entry and causes massive damage upon exit, it was an improved design too, the head looked like it could punch trough a vest with ease.

"Wonderful" Inko thought with a grimace as she loaded the gun again and stood behind her son, gun aimed at the creatures, "Someone mashed armor piercing and fragmentation rounds together"

The creatures, the GOLEM's seemed to consider what to do at the moment, before perking up and actually rushing at them.

Izuku was ready to move-

BANG!!! BANG!!!

BANG!!!! BANG!!!!!

BANG!!! BANG!!!!

The first two GOLEM's fell to the ground, their faces rilled with bullets, Izuku hesitated for a second, before unleashing towards the remaining three, "YOL TOOR SHUULLLLL!" a massive and sustained gout of fire impacted the three remaining GOLEM's, hitting them head on, and consuming them in fire, they tried to continue onward, but the intense fire overwhelmed them, eventually falling to the ground, burning.

Izuku let the fire go, then looked to his mother, who was lowering her gun, a hard look on her face. "…They were following orders from someone else" Inko stated.

Izuku blinked at his mother comment, then looked at the five dead GOLEM's, "Then they know we are out" Izuku whispered, looking back he saw Eri, standing behind his mother, holding her blouse for support, she looked scared, and she couldn't blame her.

"We are getting out of here" Izuku said, looking at his mother and Eri, "All three of us" he said, then turned to the corridor, hearing heavy footsteps on the distance, eyes narrowed Izuku channeled Arc Light into his hands.

"And we are going to make them regret ever crossing us"

M98 slowly perked up, blinking her green eyes as information began to pour in, then they narrowed.

With a scoff M98 turned around, ignoring the rabble around her as she made her way towards an elevator.

Yes, her, she referred herself as a living being, despite being basically a robot with some glorified organs that had more augmentations than you had fingers.

It was something all T-Dolls did, they knew they were expendable, one day they would be destroyed, their brains were some of the most advanced super-computers know so far, their 'nervous' systems was in fact optic fiber, their muscles were highly packed, artificially made and looked like carbon fiber, their blood was white, their only organic materials were their skin, their hearts, liver and what passed as glands that produced stimulants that were transported into their artificial blood and enhanced their muscles and nerves.

And yet they referred themselves as 'she' not 'it' not because it was some sort of sentimentality, but because it proved to be a valid tactic to confuse their opponents, in time they just continued to do so, as force of habit.

Dressed as a Victorian era maid, headdress included, M98 continued her trek towards the elevator.

"M98, we detected some anomalous activity with some GOLEM's" she resisted the urge to roll her eyes, she already knew that.

"I know, my Dummy Link just showed me five flat-lined GOLEM's and two Under Taker, same status, dead" she responded, she didn't need an earpiece to communicate, her ears had them built-in, and her onboard HUD showed her the current status of the linked GOLEM's and Under Taker units, "The C6 still show signs of activity and guard the perimeter" M98 replied.

"Mmmh, still the motion sensors are lighting up in the holding cell, I think the guests are trying to check out, how quaint" she heard a chuckle on the end of the line, she rolled her eyes this time, how many tried to do the same and failed? Too many, at least in other sites, this was the first time it happened here.

"Regardless, I am moving to intercept and reinforce, my link indicates that a T-103 in on route, confirm" she demanded.

"It is, orders are to restrain, Bee somehow captured one of the subjects we recently lost, they are needed alive preferable"

"Override, they are escaping, dead or alive as usual" M98 stated, she heard the sigh on the other end of the line.

"The director won't like this" she heard as she found an elevator that would allow her to reach the lower levels-

Then her HUD perked to life, showing her the vitals of a particular T-103, the very same send to contain the escape.

Its vitals were erratic, showing signs of…oh its dead.

"They just killed the T-103, moving to eliminate" M98 stated, entering the elevator and pressing the button to take her to the lower levels, as the elevator lowered her, her HUD again pinged to life with vitals of several of the BOW's tied to her Dummy Link system, a system that allowed her to control the creatures when she was within reach and could see the creatures and target, right now it was just relying vitals.

Several began to flat-line, fast, too fast for her liking.

As the doors of the elevator closed, M98 began to run internal diagnosis, preparing for a fight.

By the time she reaches them, they would be past the holding pens, into the generator room, and surely destroyed the pens, by the look of things.

Why this damn elevator can't move faster? She needed to buy more time to reach them.

On a whim she unlocked all 'cages' from the pens, it would mean that those things would be out, but right now she needed time to catch up with them and if that meant sacrificing some stupid BOW's then it would do.

They were replaceable, in her eyes she wasn't.

Inko marched with her son at a brisk pace, her gun aimed onward as she was taught and trained to do in these instances, guns, with the advent of Quirks, had not lost their lethality, only their position as the preferred choice for self-defense worldwide.

Their advances had also decreased to the point that new weapons weren't being made, why try to make a new machinegun when someone can cause earthquakes, or flash-freeze someone, same with new ammunition, new equipment of war, missiles, grenades, everything offensive became stagnant, there was no real progress in that area.

Defensive wise things were different, the quirk era had ushered a new way to kill, and as such the demand for protection for both police force and the newly created heroes superseded the one for creation of firearms.

Quirks did in fact ended the NRA, how a gun can compete against superpowers? Simply put, it can't.

So it was a surprise to her that these GOLEM's, despite being clad in military grade gear, were so easily mowed down, by fire no less, she knew that several brands of vests had fire insulants due to the amount of fire quirks that existed.

Then again most vests and military gear were not tested against flamethrowers.

As they continued their trek, Inko checked the ceiling, it had become almost instinctual on her training back in the military, many Quirks allowed to actually scale ceilings, so they had to be trained to also look at the ceilings, something hard considering the average person doesn't tend to do that.

THUMP

THUMP

Her son stopped floating in front of them, Inko instinctively rose her gun above his shoulder, even more considering something heavy was approaching them, and how her son rose his hands, all eight of them.

Then it appeared, and Eri actually clutched her from behind in fright, and she could not blame her.

Standing at what she assumed was seven feet tall and even more, clad in a trench coat that seemed to be tightly wrapped around its body, the pants were the same, it had massive metal boots that made a heavy thump every time it moved, the hands were wrapped in gloves that seemed to be meshed with metal plates around the fingers, and the head was exposed, showing pale skin, like white pushing it to grey, bald, the blank look alongside the blank eyes made her iffy of the creature itself.

"Oh great, a Tyrant" her son hissed, his hands gathering electricity to discharge.

The 'Tyrant' seemed to regard them for a second, then began to advance at them, each step making her heart jump, this thing was heavy, and was moving at a slow pace deliberately-

Then a stream of electricity hit the Tyrant head-on, his son arms, all eight arms letting out a stream of concentrated energy that hit the Tyrant head-on, making it actually seize up, it tried to move, but the electric current began to actually burn the coat-

And now it was on fire-

A sudden rise in the current hitting the Tyrant and Inko had a front view seat on how someone gets disintegrated by lighting, it suddenly glowed and then it exploded in a shower of sparks, letting what seemed to be ash in its wake, and the now burning coat, boots and gloves.

But it seemed the sound of lighting began to attract attention, Izuku lowered himself to the ground, supporting his weight on both legs, yet Inko noted how her son tried to support more weight on his left leg.

Then they began to appear, first more GOLEM's but these ones were of a different coloration, black and grey, with heavy platting, a large shield on their left arms and again the same arm-pikes on the right arm, then came Lickers, three in total, all behind the heavily armored GOLEM's, stalking and tasting the air with their long tongues.

Behind her Eri stiffened, not that she could blame her, the Lickers were rather…disturbing to look.

Then came the surprise, robots, actual robots, blocky looking also, with plates covering their arms, legs and torsos, holding heavy looking batons that crackled with energy, at once their robots head turned to them, and as one they began to move, pushing pass the GOLEM's with a brisk pace.

The former military clerk woman in Inko admired how synchronized they moved.

The mother of a paracasual force that was pissed at the situation in her just saw targets to sic her son into, which she did.

"TAKE THEM DOWN!" Izuku instantly lit up with Arc Energy, crouching for a moment, then he launched himself, like a living missile, his eight fists aimed onward towards what he recognized vaguely as C6 robots, from Call of Duty, Infinite Warfare.

He hated that game with the passion of a thousand suns!

And he showed right now-

BOOM!!!

When he crashed at the formation of C6 robots, all six of them, with the force of an actual rocket, a sudden burst of Arc energy emerging from his fists a the point of impact, the 6 robots were vaporized, very surprisingly, as they were made of metal and metal does not vaporize in such a manner, but it happened.

The explosion and crash was so great that the close GOLEM's were hit by the shockwave and seized up with the sudden electric current, Izuku noted this, and was certain that these GOLEM's were made just like the ones in Parasite Eve 2, a mutated human or clone with a life-support system that didn't agree with electric bursts.

Their seizing up was taken by Inko as an advantage as she rose her gun and began to fire, a steady staccato of armor piercing and hollow point bullets meeting their unprotected heads, piercing them with ease, blood poured out from the wounds as they collapsed, dead, Inko noted how…second rated the material their suits were made off, if they were actual BOW's why not actually make something more…bulletproof, but she is not complaining over their oversight.

With three GOLEM's dead and two more ready for the grinder, Inko began to take aim, but a sudden movement on the ceiling made her shift her aim, the Lickers, moving towards her, unnaturally fast.

With a mental curse she flipped to full auto an opened fire, the first Licker let out a shriek of pain as what remained of the clip met its most succulent target in Inko's opinion, its head and EXPOSED BRAIN.

The bullets easily tore the head cavity and made the first Licker fall to the ground dead, with horrendous exit wounds on its head and neck, flesh was barely holding the head attached to the body, but there was no reason to believe it was dead.

With a flick she let the empty magazine fall to the ground and then replaced it with a fresh one, by the time she was done the second Licker was on the ground and ready to pounce on her-

BAMM!!!

And her son just flattened it with one of the GOLEM's, using it as a medieval club, blood basically being puked out by the Licker upon impact and bones shattering by the impact, alongside many ruptured muscles that leaked blood.

This gave her ample time to aim at the third Licker, "Smile" then she pressed the trigger and the Licker seized in the ceiling as bullets tore it apart, then it fell to the ground, twitching and tongue lolling out of its grotesque mouth, Inko frowned, so she did something she once saw her son do in a game, which ironically had monsters far more disturbing than the Licker, and had to chop them limb by limb.

She rose her feet, aimed at the Licker's head, and the Licker lightly twitched.

CRACK!!

And she brought it down on its opened mouth.

CRACK!!

Again.

CRACK!!

And again.

CRACK!!

And again, until the head resembled more like a pancake.

Izuku for his part focused on the last two GOLEM's, slowly recovering of the discharge, the first one Izuku targeted began to be petted with a rain of Arc infused fists, the armor it wore simply buckled under the onslaught, leaving fist imprints as the visor it wore simply flooded with blood.

The other GOLEM blindsided Izuku during his rampage, backhanding him with its shield, in the face, the meaty sound of metal meeting flesh echoed in the area, and Izuku instantly stopped pounding the now dead GOLEM, the Arc energy dissipating.

Inko for a second nearly had a heart attack there and there.

Then her son glowed purple, and mean mugged the GOLEM.

And then a shield appeared on his left arm and he backhanded the GOLEM with that same shield.

THUMP!!

She actually heard bones and steel break under the blow, launching the GOLEM to a wall, or what was left of it as it disintegrated in a shower of purple energy that consumed it, only the metal and some cloth met the wall with enough strength to be embedded in it.

Again the hall became empty of enemies, aside for the twitching corpses, Inko took a deep breath, looked at Eri, who had not left her side ever since, then gave her a reassuring smile, then turned to her son who was looking at the shield in some shock.
