"Damn right I am. And you can roll the two skills at once." I said with a puffed-up chest. "If I'm going to draw a shit skill, make it double."
I had my fair share of experience playing gacha, and I felt worse rolling separately. Even in a fantasy world, this habit of mine didn't change in the slightest.
After I confirmed on my screen, an animation appeared for the rolling feature, starring none other than Freya and Brandish. Or at least I thought they were.
Freya was easy to identify because of her statue in the Lost Temple. It looked like the representation of the hot goddess that I had seen, now with colors, but in chibi form. Her hair was white, her skin fair, but her eyes were still covered by a white veil.
Brandish was a guess. Until now, she was the only "person" I knew who was working for Freya, so I couldn't help but think it was her. Brandish's hair color was a very bright tone of blue, almost white, and it was short, just above her shoulders. Her blue eyes matched her hair. In comparison with Freya's chibi form, Brandish's had half her height, so I thought the goddess's servant was a short girl.
They were both sitting at a round table with a deep blue tablecloth covered in golden stars. Brandish shuffled a deck of cards in front of the white-haired woman. The short girl spread the cards across the table, and Freya selected two of them.
With a shining golden glow, the animation finished.

Those were my new powers, my first weapons to fight in this world. If I wanted to master the Valkyrie Tamer class and survive, I should learn how to use them well. I clicked the skills to learn what each of them was capable of.

I started to think that I should test this power, and thankfully there was someone here I could use it on. Sarah still couldn't see my hud, so I told her about my new skill.
"Just stay put, so I can test this." I finished telling her the situation, which she responded to by nodding.
'Let's go. Lover's Appraisal!' I called my skill with Sarah right in front of me. When I did this, her information became visible to me.

"Huh, everything, I suppose." I innocently said, which Sarah responded to by covering her bust with her arms. "I didn't mean it like that. Never mind."
I found this status called Affection intriguing. If I recall, Brandish commented a bit about something in this regard. 'Brandish, can you explain to me this Affection stat?' I tried to call the young lady with my mind, and she responded in text.
[ Yes! Affection represents how much a girl likes you. Awakened girls that reach 10 in Affection and that have had sex with you become candidates and, if you want, can become Valkyries. ]
'I get it. So I need to accomplish these two requirements to create a Valkyrie, huh. Well, I think I'm good on this one for now. Let me see the next one.'
I looked at my Ero Boost skill, and I had a good surprise. I couldn't help but smile when I saw the description.

Ero Boost: You can temporarily raise your or one of your Valkyrie's status. After that, whoever receives the boost will suffer from sexual arousal. The cure will depend on how strong the enemy you were challenging is. It will be shown on your screen what the cure will be after the combat.

'Oh, that's good news. It might be a low raise to my attributes, but it can still be useful at the start of our journey.' I smiled happily about this new skill, but Sarah just frowned when I talked about it.
"What? Shouldn't your power have some kind of recoil?" she asked about my Ero Boost, with a bothered expression.
"I think it will be like this from now on. It's a class given by the goddess of love, so I think most of my powers will have something sexual in them."
"But it doesn't look like a punishment for using the skill."
"I think it works more like a reward. Like a treat after a good job." I calmly explained my point of view, but for some reason Sarah seemed upset.
"That's what I'm talking about! It seems like it was made for you to use multiple times, because you only gain by using it!" She snapped at me.
"Is it such a bad thing?"
She crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes closed. "Forget it!"
'Why is she so mad about something like this?' I asked myself, but I could talk to her later about this issue. Our training took priority right now, and before that, she needed an upgrade.
"Well, let's see your case now." I clicked on Valkyries, and my hud changed.

'Swordmaster class? The name is very close to her current class. What makes it so special?' I tried to click on Swordmaster, but nothing happened. 'Brandish, can I access more information about this class?'
[ Sadly, it isn't possible. This is a special class created only for Sarah, but you can only know what it does after the Awakening. ]
"I see. Sarah…" I told her about her situation. "Are you ready?"
"Born ready." She said with an excited voice.

I clicked on "Yes", and then I could feel a warm wind blowing in Sarah's direction. The girl didn't startle as a wall of air spiraled in front of her. She closed her eyes and sighed, breathing deeply.
As she inhaled, the pillar of air entered her body until all that was left of it was a warm sensation in the field. Sarah was still there, where she stood, her red silky hair fluttering in the wind.
"It's over, Sarah." I said while getting closer to her.
"I feel different. I think my body is lighter. What does your Appraisal power say?"
Indeed, using Appraisal was the right call. The System had updated her stats.

"It actually has changed, and apparently I'm your master now." I told her about her new status.
"Huh, just this?"
"Are you not angry?" I was surprised by her calm attitude. I was waiting for something more energetic coming from her.
"Well, it was expected to be something like this. If you are a Valkyrie Tamer and I'm a Valkyrie, a relationship like master and servant seems like an equivalent fit." She said as if it was nothing. "I don't think it changes our position, after all you are supposed to be my leader, right?"
"Eh? I'm the leader?" I asked, not expecting such a statement.
"Oh, it's true. We never talked about it. Now that Leo left the party, you are the best option as a leader. I think that our victory in the last Boss fight is a good proof of your leadership. At least it was what the former leader said. Don't wanna?"
Part of me still thought that our last victory was just a fluke, but despite how I felt, the will to step forward and take the lead of the team filled my heart and made me want to be reliable.
"No, it's ok. I would be a perfect fit for a leader, don't you think?" I said with a playful smile.
"Haha. Hey, don't get cocky already. At least wait until we fight our next challenge." She said while laughing at me.
"Huh, well said. If I'm not wrong, your skills should be reset along with your status." I searched for it and found it. Sarah lost her previous skills, but she was gifted with new ones.
"Hey, Sarah. Let's try it out. Something tells me that you're gonna love your new moves."
