'How did we end up in this situation?' After we finally got to the second floor, our party analyzed our hand drawn map. The entrance had two separate ways and we still needed to investigate the two paths for something useful.
Leo came up with the idea to divide the group and check an area on the right alone.
"Why this?" Sarah asked him, but the young man just said "It doesn't seem that there are many monsters in the area, and I believe that it's worth checking these places."
That's what he said, but I knew his true intentions. He said that it didn't look like there were monsters, but if there were he wanted to fight by himself. He and Sarah weren't too different. Both of them wanted to prove their own strength.
"Hey, Leo." I stopped him. "Take with you."
I gave him one of my bombs. "If you're in danger, throw it on the ground and we'll come as soon as possible."
I didn't want to get in his way. If he wanted to wander around the dungeon it's his business, but we had to defeat a boss. I don't know how this part of the story happened, so it isn't bad to be careful.
"Are you worried about me?" He asked surprised.
"I'm not a monster. Just don't die before I kill you."
He gratefully accepted my explosive. "Well, see you guys soon." He said unworriedly, and didn't wait a second to follow his path.
"O-Ok…" I said this only to notice that now Sarah and I were alone.
"Well, let's get going." Sarah said with a calm expression.
We walked down the dungeon looking for where we had stopped before, but we didn't talk for a while. And we had a good reason to talk. Her confession and my response were still a matter to be addressed, however, none of us said a word.
Sarah had a copy of my map in hand and was showing the way, but she stopped close to a door.
"I don't think we looked inside this room." She tried to turn the doorknob, but it was locked. "It seems that we need the key to open it."
"You can leave this with me." I said and Sarah's eyes opened wide "Oh, it's true. We have a key right here."
The key she was saying was called Decompose. Sadly, I didn't have some kind of lock pick skill, but I could open the door by making the metal doorknob to decay.
After years of experimenting, Rick acquired some Alchemist's skills that could still be very useful. Combining materials, separating them, melting, boiling water and so on. Thanks to his father's training he acquired an arsenal of this kind of skills.
I got closer and Sarah, who was still between me and the door, flushed with my presence, forgetting that she had to open the way for me. Now that I was face to face at the object I could do my job.
Decompose was an Alchemist class skill and could make every material decay, organic or not. To activate this skill I needed to be closer to the object that I wanted to destroy, establishing physical contact. Doing that I could focus on the structure of the objective and make it collapse. At this point, I needed around fifteen seconds to concentrate before using that skill.
That's why Decompose and the others were not suitable for combat. The time for casting them was too long and the range that should expose myself was too short.
That's why I carried a dagger. Rick didn't have interest in mastering the short blade, it had only one purpose. Stab an off guard foe.
"Decompose!" I activated my power and in this instant the doorknob melted, letting escape a steam that had an unpleasant smell.
"Open Sesame." I said it, very satisfied with my own feat. But Sarah still looked tense around me.
"Let's finish this. The faster we finish, the faster we go back to the surface, aaah… !" She was careless. The moment she entered the poorly lit room she tripped and fell on the floor.
"Sarah, wah!" I followed her mistake by tripping on a protruding stone.
"Argh, my head!" My forehead hurted, but didn't feel like I bumped into the hard ground. Instead of that I feel that I hit something less rigid than a rock. "Sarah, are you okay… ?" I started, however words escaped my mind once I acknowledged my situation.
I had fallen above Sarah, but at the last moment my hands stopped my body half way. Between my arms was her.
I was face to face with her. The last time this kind of thing happened was back at the inn when she tried to wake me up, but now there was a change. The girl avoided looking at me, completely embarrassed.
I couldn't stop looking at her, magnetized by her beauty. Her flame-like hair was so eye-catching that I couldn't look away. Her fair skin looked and her thin red lips looked so soft from this short distance.
"You are not moving?" Finally, Sarah found the courage to say something.
"You want me to move?" I said to her boldly. "If you want me to back-off just say so."
"Huh…" She still was avoiding my gaze. We wouldn't go anywhere from here, if I played safe.
"What a scare-cat." I said mockingly.
"What did you say?" She said this heatedly, finally looking at my face.
And I responded curtly. "I called you scare-cat. What else should I call you if you can't even look at me?"
"You're unfair." She responded timidly.
"I like you, Sarah." I said to her.
"E-Eh? Why? Why so sudden?" She was nervous
"That's my response to your question from before."
She blushed, babbling, trying to come up with the words for what I said. Finally she could speak. "Y-You idiot. Why did you have to say that here? I didn't want to talk about it here."
"Why though?"
"I didn't want our feelings to get in the way here. If I…"
"If you died here you didn't want me to suffer, right?" I finished her sentence. "But you are wrong about something."
"If you die I will suffer. I wanted to tell you how I feel and when the danger comes, no matter what, I won't let you die." I wasn't lying. I knew better than anyone how weak I was. It was kind of pathetic saying this to her, but it was the truth.
No matter what. No matter how hard it got, I decided to protect her. Even if it cost me my life.
If Sarah had something to say, she decided to stay in silence. Her eyes were a bit moist, but she didn't cry. I leaned to get my mouth closer to hers. She didn't try to stop me, on the contrary. She closed her eyes and timidly raised her lips, inviting me.
Her kiss was the better sensation that I had in ages. Her soft lips were warm and tender. Her pleasant smell was inebriating to my senses. Every second we passed together was filling me more with the lustful desire to make her mine. Suddenly, she distanced herself from me.
"I love you, Rick." She softly confessed to me.
Now I couldn't hold myself anymore. I went with intensity this time, kissing her passionately. I could feel the sweet taste of her saliva mixing with mine. Our tongues intertwined, dancing in a tireless melody.
"Hmph… Hmph…" Sarah was letting out a sound. I got so excited by her kiss that I forgot that I needed to breathe. When our kiss ended we were both gasping, our lunges trying to be filled with air. Even in that dimly lit room I could see a line of saliva connecting us.
I looked at the woman lying down. Her face wasn't hiding her true feelings, she was full of desire.
"Rick, it won't be enough… you are already…" She didn't finish, but because of her timid peek I noticed what she was talking about.
In my pants, a bulge took shape down there, making me feel a pressure in my sensitive organ. I was already hard. My sword was ready for action.
"Please do it." Her voice revealed her intention to me. "You can do it."
Her kind voice was begging for my manhood
"It is my first time, but If it's you… I want you." She revealed her true desire to me. "Just be gentle, ok?"
First a kiss, now I would have sex with Sarah. 'That's the best moment to be alive.' I was lowering my hand, caressing the way it passed, coming for panties.
I couldn't control myself anymore, I was ready to go all the way with Sarah, to arouse every inch of her hot body.
But before I could touch her lady parts, we heard an explosion coming from a distance.
"That was…" Sarah didn't have to finish. That was the bomb I gave Leo early.
He was in trouble.
