Chapter 75 - Chapter 75 Mill's Savior

The morning wind was cool. Myr, being by the sea, carried a briny scent in the sea breeze. Besides the briny scent, there was also a smell of blood.

The sun shone on the sea and also illuminated Myr's ramparts, towers, and halls.

When the naval battle occurred in Tyrosh, due to the weakening of military forces near Myr, Myr also experienced a riot. Some Myrish Magisters, unwilling to accept defeat, fantasized about restoration, but the slaver's attempts were met with a storm-like counterattack.

Brown Ben stood on Myr's city wall. Myr was still undergoing a fierce civil war, but the forces of the Myrish restorationists were at a disadvantage, seemingly at the end of their tether. The Free Army and Second Sons taxi soldiers still occupied Myr's city walls, its high ground, and most of its areas. The Free Folk and Second Sons supported the current order in Myr, while most Myrish citizens chose to close their doors.

"It looks like we still won this round." Brown Ben widened his black almond-shaped eyes, inherited from his dothraki mother. Brown Ben breathed a sigh of relief; the banners appearing in the distant view were not the three-headed god of Tyrosh they longed for, but the gray-white banners with roaring Wolf Pack, the wolves on the banners seeming to roar.

The standard-bearer, carrying the banner, ran at the forefront of the procession, like the reappearance of the gray-white Wolf Pack, a wave of Steel Fist Knights. The Knights marched on the road, a section of the Valyrian Road extending from Myr.

"Tell our people, Myr's savior has returned!" Brown Ben shouted loudly. The sound of ancient military horns echoed again in Myr, the 'dududu' sound becoming urgent.

The sound of the horn was so sharp, accompanied by the cheers of the Second Sons and Free Army soldiers. The taxi soldiers on the city walls cheered.

"Myr's savior has returned!"

"Commander Gendry has returned!"

"Tyrosh has been captured!"

The Myrish restorationists still stubbornly resisting in the chaotic city of Myr turned pale. Their leader was a former Myrish Magister who had been idle at home. Due to the abolition of slavery and the confiscation of estates, many Myrish were very dissatisfied with the current Myr, viewing Tyrosh's counterattack as a rare opportunity, and eagerly launched a coup.

The silent Knights galloped forward, stopping only near Myr's city gates. Brown Ben on the city wall immediately rushed down, leading dozens of Knights to Gendry.

"Commander-in-Chief!" Brown Ben dismounted and knelt before Gendry. "As expected, some Myrish Magisters and slavers rioted after hearing news of the Tyrosh war. Fortunately, we were prepared in advance. Currently, Myr's city walls and high ground are in our hands, and the restorationists are merely making a last-ditch stand!"

"What about the port and the city hall?"

"Also in our hands!"

"Very good, to have achieved this is already impressive!" Gendry said to Brown Ben. Brown Ben only had five hundred cavalry from the Second Sons and some Free Army taxi soldiers; to occupy advantageous terrain was quite clever. "But the Dothraki are coming soon, and I don't have time to waste with the restorationist slavers!"

"I already have a rough list of these restorationists!" Brown Ben whispered, then handed the list of conspirators to Gendry.

"Very good!"

"Victory!" Gendry picked up his warhammer and waved it before the Knights.

"Victory!" The soldiers drew their weapons—longsword, two-handed axes, or Morningstar. The sound of steel and the soldiers' cheers seemed to shake heaven and earth.

"Enter the city!" Gendry led his cavalry into Myr. With the intervention of the old fox Brown Ben, the situation in Myr, though tense, still favored the Wolf Pack and the Free Army. And now, Gendry's Knights were about to deliver the decisive blow, preparing for the arrival of the horse people.

"You are, Prince Oberyn?" Brown Ben recognized The Red Viper, and was surprised. The two were acquaintances, in a way. During The Red Viper's early travels, he had served the Second Sons for a year.

"Long time no see, Brown Ben! You've aged a bit." The Red Viper greeted him with a smile.

"You too! Prince!" Brown Ben didn't ask why Oberyn and Gendry were together; the key was to resolve the current war. "Prince, after these traitors are pacified, I'll catch up with you."

...A large number of Knights surged into Myr. Those figures in gray-white cloaks fought at the forefront, the Wolf Pack's heavy cavalry leading, while the Free Army and Spear Company's light cavalry were on the flanks. This day was destined to see the bloodlines of many old Myrish nobles extinguished.

Gendry's Knights unleashed a hurricane of death. Through the slits of their half-helmets, the Knights silently slaughtered the Myrish traitors. Longspear, great axes, Morningstar, steel hammers, or longsword. Blood dripped from the Knights' Longspear; they had no time to waste on these most stubborn Myrish traitors.

The rioting Myrish traitors possessed some weapons, special crossbow that could fire three times consecutively, and fine armor. But they had not occupied Myr's high ground, nor did they have large weapons like ballista. More importantly, Myrish had always been poor fighters. In this kind of head-on clash, the Myrish traitors were violently torn apart like paper.

The scales of war had already tipped towards the defeat of the Myrish restorationists, but the Second Sons' Knights were indeed insufficient, and the arrival of Gendry's elite cavalry greatly accelerated this process.

"Kill!" Gendry swung his warhammer. The Myrish youth before him had an olive complexion, black hair and eyes, and wore splendid Myrish armor; he must have been a Myrish noble, but his combat strength was truly weak.

Gendry's warhammer struck the young man's chest fiercely, the ornate breastplate immediately caving in, followed by another heavy blow, the bones in his chest shattering, his body unable to withstand such damage. The young man fell limply, foamy blood on his lips.

"Devil!" The Myrish shouted, but their speed clearly couldn't match their mouths. Gendry's warhammer followed, like a violent storm, also striking down the Myrish youth's attendants.

The Red Viper silently followed behind Gendry, feeling this was a one-sided slaughter. The Myrish thought they had found an opportunity, but it was merely a trap deliberately set by others, luring the enemy deep.

"the liberator has returned!" A small number of Free Folk who had been observing, and some brave Myrish citizens, also opened their doors and joined the ranks attacking the Myrish restorationists. This was because these Myrish traitors were now openly defying Gendry, opposing Gendry's army, slaughtering the Free Folk, and threatening Myrish citizens not to cooperate.

The shouts of killing resounded throughout Myr, from south to north, from east to west. The cavalry killed the Myrish traitors, then cleared their bodies to the center of Myr's city square.

The last stronghold of the Myrish restorationists was breached. In despair, the Myrish Magister Kasa poisoned himself and his family in his mansion.

The veterans tore down the gates of the Magister's mansion and dragged out the bodies of the traitors one by one.

Gendry looked at these ashen-faced corpses. The will of power was so cold; the order he had created was destined to attract great hatred. But the crown, power—was this not the inevitable path?

"Next, you know what to do!" Gendry said to Brown Ben.

"I know!" Brown Ben replied solemnly. "Those on the list of traitors who participated will be declared public enemies. Those who knew and did not report, I will invite them to the city hall!"

"Very good, go do it quickly. The horse people should be arriving soon; that is our true great battle."
