For a moment, Kiara felt like her surroundings went quiet. Kiara watched the three cloaked figures in front og the front door. Their dark robes covered them from head to toe, the enchanted fabric blurring their outlines just enough that most Spirit Warriors would have dismissed them as ordinary travelers.
Most eyes weren't watching them.
The Eyes of God cut through the concealment in a single glance. The instant their identities registered, Kiara's brow twitched—barely—and irritation settled across her face.

She didn't greet them. She didn't ask what they wanted. She simply stood and waited.
The three crossed the polished floor without hurry and stopped a few paces in front of her. Silence stretched.
Then one of them reached up, took hold of the edge of his hood, and drew it back.
