"It's you..."
Kiara finally turned and looked directly at him.
"Yes."
The single word carried years of pain.
Years of loneliness.
Years of anger.
Arceus felt his throat tighten.
Kiara stepped closer.
"Do you know why I'm telling you all of this?"
He shook his head.
Her gaze softened.
"Because you're my light, Arceus."
The tears in his eyes immediately spilled over.
"Ever since I met you, I started smiling during ordinary conversations. I stopped feeling alone. I started worrying about someone else's happiness. I even learned how to forgive. A traveler wandering through endless darkness doesn't notice how cold the night is until he finally sees a lantern. Only then does he realize how desperately he wanted light."
Her voice remained steady, but emotion filled every word.
"In my life, I lost my parents. I lost my teammates. I lost my friends. I lost my brother. Somewhere along the way, I may have even lost myself."
She stopped directly in front of him.
