Kiara stared at Gideon Crescent for a long while, countless thoughts moving through her mind like clouds drifting across the sky before a storm.

Gideon, however, showed no impatience. He stood quietly and waited for her answer, neither urging her nor attempting to influence her decision. The prince simply watched her with calm eyes, confident enough to allow time to do its work.
After several moments, Kiara finally spoke.
