Kiara was lying on her stomach on the king-sized bed, her face buried in a pillow as though she wanted to suffocate all her frustrations along with it.
"Fucking dammit!" she cursed, gripping the pillow tightly. "This is so annoying! Argh!"
Scarlett stood by the doorway, watching her friend throw a small tantrum. She tried to hold back her laughter, but the sight was too amusing, and a chuckle escaped her lips.
Sometimes, she acts so cute that I forget how dangerous she actually is.
The thought made Scarlett smile as she walked over to the bed. She sat down beside Kiara before lying on her side, resting her head against one hand.
"Fine, I'm sorry," she said, her voice softer than before. "Now, can we go back to the reception room? The servants will probably arrive soon, and I don't want them walking in here while we're hiding in the bedroom."
Kiara turned her face away from her, pressing her cheek against the pillow.
"I'm not interested. You go."
