Monferno—once a frail Chimchar—continued his training outside, his strength having already surpassed the Superior Level limit.
Kaito was playing Pokémon Battle on his phone when Arina sat beside him. "Will you participate in the World Championship this December?" she asked.
The World Championship was the ultimate "muscle-flexing" event for nations, requiring at least an Elite Four-tier ranking to enter. Long Chongyang usually represented Dragon Country.
"I should participate," Kaito nodded. It was the perfect stage to reveal Mega Evolution. The fame generated by such a massive setting would feed his Power of Faith and skyrocket his strength.
The Spirit Cave Invitation
Kaito received a message from You Lian Yue.
"My dad wants you to visit our family's Spirit Cave. You need to come on the 31st—Halloween. It's the only day the inner perimeter, where the high-quality Ghost-types live, is accessible."
Kaito realized he lacked a primary Ghost-type partner. This was the perfect opportunity.
The First Dice-Rolling Tournament
In the yard, Bunnelby and Piplup were arguing over a massive Custard Apple. Bunnelby, feeling lucky after watching the Clefairy dance, suggested a dice-rolling contest. Soon, Mime Jr. and Psyduck joined in.

The stakes were high: the winner would get the fruit and a custom-made Champion's Outfit hand-stitched by Leavanny.
As the Pokémon began rolling their dice, Kaito watched with a nostalgic smile. It reminded him of a Metronome Tournament—pure luck, high stakes, and total chaos.
