Kaito stood before a platform in his Research Institute, dressed in a white lab coat. On the platform were a docile Shiinotic and a feather emitting a faint pink glow: the Secret Treasure Fairy Feather.
"Don't be nervous, relax." Kaito's words flowed smoothly, allowing the Shiinotic to absorb external energy.
A month had passed since the meteor shower night. The Research Institute was long completed, and the construction of the Gym was nearing completion.
Kaito had spent the month researching the Fairy Type and studying Affection. His research on the Fairy Type had shown initial results.
A bit of pink energy was drawn from the Fairy Feather, slowly enveloping Shiinotic.
The system notified: Prompt: Shiinotic activated Fairy Type. New Skill: Moonlight. Name: Shiinotic, Type: Grass-type, Fairy-type, Level: Lv. 30 (Excellent-tier).
This was one of his research achievements! Activating a Pokémon's Fairy Type! Kaito suspected that for now, only the Fairy Feather could be used to activate the Fairy Attribute.
Kaito put away the Fairy Feather and walked towards the Gym, which was scheduled to be completed soon.
The Fairy Gym Emblem
The person in charge (from the Trainer Association) greeted him. "Master, you've come at a good time; every Gym needs to have its own badge design (emblem)."
Kaito fell into deep thought. His Gym would be Fairy Type, so the emblem would be pink. He recalled a very suitable design: the Fairy Type Terastallization symbol from the games.
A moment later, the person in charge left with a beautifully drawn design: a pink heart with a pair of white wings on each side, like a little Fairy heart.
The design he used was precisely the optimal design created by Nintendo with countless human resources.
"The Gym can be built first, but it might not open to the public so quickly. Please don't publicize it yet," Kaito instructed. He still needed to find Xerneas to fully awaken the Fairy Type.
Espeon's Evolution
Kaito walked to the lawn. Leafeon was enjoying a sunbath. Kaito was looking for one of the Eevee.
"Bui~" As soon as they saw Kaito, the Eevee ran to his feet.
He picked up one of the Eevee and confessed his aim: to evolve this Eevee into an Espeon. The Umbreon's success was because the moonlight was at its strongest; Espeon's success required the sun to be at its strongest.
Kaito had the Eevee use various moves to consume the energy within its body.
The Eevee performed Swift repeatedly. Suddenly, the somewhat panting Eevee burst into dazzling colorful light. It finally evolved!

Espeon has the characteristics of a small feline; its fur and eyes are purple, and it has a red gem on its head. Espeon is extremely loyal and its precognitive abilities are highly developed.
The Espeon Thesis
Kaito returned to the Research Institute to collect data on Espeon. My large Research Institute, with only myself, is truly unique among the many Research Institutes—a lone scorpion (toxic) in the dung. He realized he needed staff, but Fairy-type research was too private.
He casually had his Rotom Phone take a photo of Umbreon, Leafeon, and Espeon lined up, and uploaded it to the PokéTube App.
He then began writing his new paper: "Eevee's New Evolution Form – Espeon!"
The system notified: Task completed: Announce three Eevee evolutions. Task reward: Eevee Z-Crystal, title (Father of Eevee).

Kaito had a strong impression of the title Father of Eevee—it sounded very good!
Dr. Liu Xuan's Discovery
National Research Institute. Liu Xuan logged onto Pokémon Home. Unbeknownst to her, checking Kaito's homepage had already become her muscle memory.
She found a very familiar name: "i am not a doctor."
Kaito had just posted an image update. It featured Umbreon, Leafeon, and a new Pokémon she had never seen before.
Liu Xuan's pupils immediately constricted as she recalled what Kaito had said.
"This is… Espeon?!"
