Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: Lenore's Healing

Kalis's HP was already maxed out, but the effects of Lenore's healing spells were still crystal clear to see. Two streaks of emerald green numbers floated slowly above his head:

+4882

+19281

The first number was the effect of "Minor Heal", a basic Tier 1 Cleric spell. The second was "Prayer of the Moon Goddess", the exclusive skill she'd just unlocked as a Lunar Priest.

"Not bad for healing output. What tier is this Hidden Class anyway?" Kalis asked.

Hidden Classes in the game were ranked into multiple tiers:

The lowest tier was even weaker than regular Classes, only having a few minor unique traits.

Mid-tier Hidden Classes were on par with regular Classes, coming with an extra one or two exclusive skills plus a piece of Epic gear.

High-tier Hidden Classes had a rich skill set, along with Legendary gear as a bonus, and some even came with exclusive talents.

Above those were Legendary Classes like his own, which boasted Legendary talents, Mythic gear, and game-changing skill mechanics.

And at the very top were Divine Inheritance Classes, which not only had a massive skill pool but also came with God-tier talents and Mythic gear as standard issue.

"It's a Legendary Class, same tier as yours. Though she got luckier than you—aside from the talent, she also got a Mythic weapon as a bonus."

"Whoa, lucky break." Kalis raised an eyebrow in surprise. No wonder her healing was this insane—it was all thanks to that Mythic weapon boost.

If she were a regular Cleric, even with a top-tier Tier 1 skill, her max healing output would only be around 1000. She could drain her mana dry and still wouldn't be able to top him or Eira off.

"Here, check out the stats." Beaming with pride, Lenore shared her character sheet and the Mythic weapon details with them. The base stat growth of a Lunar Priest was already a notch above regular Clerics, with both HP and Healing Power boosted by 10%. The edge seemed small in the early game, but paired with her talent and the artifact, the power gap widened instantly.

[Pure Soul (Legendary Talent) ]: Increases base healing effects by 50%, enhances all support skill effects by 30%. When afflicted with a crowd control effect, there is a 10% chance to instantly break free and gain 3 seconds of Super Armor. This effect can trigger once every 15 seconds at most.

[Staff of Lunar Chant (Mythic Weapon, No Level Restriction, Exclusive) ]: Spell Attack +750, Healing Power +200, Spirit +50, additional 30% boost to healing effects.

Passive Skill [Faith Feedback]: When casting healing spells on others, restore an equal amount of HP to yourself simultaneously.

With both bonuses stacked together, Lenore's base healing output easily broke the 3000 mark. Combined with her Class skills that had higher healing coefficients, her healing numbers naturally skyrocketed.

"Nice, not bad at all. You'll need to cast about 2000 heals to match one of my shields, though. Still, it's a pretty solid Class." Kalis nodded slightly, his tone full of approval.

"Ugh! You absolute monster! Who even wants to compare to you!" Lenore had been floating on cloud nine from her Class advancement, but his words instantly deflated her mood. She let out a cry of frustration and helplessness.

Just then, a soft voice sounded from beside them. "Hey, Kalis~."

The three turned around, and there stood Lia—the same girl they'd parted ways with not long ago. She held the "Lunar Orb of Divinity", which glowed with a gentle radiance, and a faint silver moonlight swirled around her figure, making her look both sacred and ethereal.

"What a coincidence. You're here too?" Kalis greeted her with a smile.

"I just finished learning my new skills in the temple. Are you guys talking about healing output?" Lia walked over with a grin, her eyes landing on Lenore.

"This friend of mine just unlocked a Legendary Hidden Class. She's been showing off nonstop." Kalis teased, then turned to Lia. "Why don't you heal her a bit? Let her see what real Healing Power looks like."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Lenore was slow on the uptake at first. But when she caught sight of Lia's name and the Lunar Orb of Divinity in her hand, her eyes widened, and a sinking feeling hit her. "Don't tell me she's—"

In the next second, Lia held the Lunar Orb of Divinity in her left hand and waved her right hand lightly. A soft silvery-white glow instantly enveloped Lenore, and a blinding green number floated above her head:

+146312 (Double Effect)

Lenore: …

That six-digit healing number completely blew her mind.

"Holy crap! H-how is that even possible?!" Lenore stared at the number, convinced she was seeing things. All the pride she'd felt moments ago vanished without a trace, leaving only shock and disbelief written all over her face.

Lia explained with a smile, "This is 'Holy Healing', a Tier 4 healing skill. It has a base healing coefficient of 480%. My Spell Attack is 7050, and my healing effects are boosted by 115%. That alone gives a base healing output of over 70000. And I just happened to trigger the Lunar Orb of Divinity's double healing effect. That's how you get a number like that."

"Spell Attack… over 7000?" Lenore and Eira gasped in unison, their eyes wide with disbelief. Even a Dragon Warrior with a Legendary Class and a full set of three Mythic gear pieces couldn't hit a fifth of that Spell Attack stat!

"How did you even do that? That's totally broken!" The two of them exclaimed in unison.

Kalis already knew how overpowered the Lunar Orb of Divinity was, so he wasn't all that surprised. He just asked, "Didn't the Archbishop take the Lunar Orb of Divinity back?"

Lia shook her head gently. "The Archbishop said the orb was always meant to be a gift for me. I guess I was just being paranoid earlier. I've already mastered all my Tier 2 to Tier 4 skills now. The Tier 5 Saint skills have a stat requirement, though, so I can't learn them yet."

"You mastered all your Tier 2 to Tier 4 skills already? Are you even human?!" Lenore and Eira were completely floored. Even though Lia was a stunningly beautiful girl, they couldn't help blurting out their shock.

Lia gave a shy smile, her tone tinged with helplessness. "The Archbishop insisted on teaching me everything. I really didn't have a choice."

"Ugh! It's so unfair comparing people to each other!" Lenore hung her head dejectedly, suddenly feeling deflated.

"Sigh, this game is impossible to play. I might as well log off and go to bed." Eira sighed heavily, equally crushed by the comparison.

A twinge of envy tugged at Kalis's heart, too. This girl's luck was off the charts.

With such a powerful Legendary Class and an overpowered artifact backing her up, if it weren't for his own absurdly broken strength, there would be almost no one in the game who could rival her in overall power.

With over 7000 Spell Attack, even a random smite spell from her could one-shot an average player. Once her mana pool was large enough to cast "Final Sacrifice", her total stats would surge past 100000, dealing up to 300000 to 400000 damage.

It would one-shot every enemy within a 500-meter radius and fully heal all allies. That was just plain terrifying.

What made it even more frustrating was that she'd earned all of this with pure luck. Even if she'd never met him, she still would have gotten the same rewards just by completing Dafiona's quest on her own.

"Are these two your friends?" Lia looked at Lenore and Eira, curiosity glinting in her eyes.

Kalis nodded. "Yeah, they're my best friends." He then proceeded to introduce the three girls to each other.

"Hi there! Nice to meet you!" Lenore was the first to snap out of her stupor, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she leaned in and asked, "How did you and Kalis meet? You two seem really close."

"Yeah!" Eira chimed in right after, leaning in as well. "How long have you known each other? What's your relationship?"

The two of them had always loved a good gossip. Seeing that Lia was not only drop-dead gorgeous but also ridiculously overpowered, and that she'd teamed up with Kalis to take down a Mythic Boss, they were naturally dying to know the story behind their meeting and bombarded her with questions.

Lia felt a little bashful under their direct, eager gazes. Her cheeks flushed slightly as she explained softly, "Kalis and I met while we were both doing Dafiona's quest. We took down the Mythic Boss together. But we've only known each other for a couple of hours. We're just regular friends."

"Only a couple of hours?" Lenore's eyes went wide with shock, then she clicked her tongue in amazement. "You two had that much chemistry together then? Taking down a Mythic Boss right after meeting?"

"Tell me about it!" Eira nodded vigorously. "Guess it's true what they say—talented people can team up and sync instantly, no matter who they're with!"

"You two are such troublemakers." Kalis shook his head helplessly, rapping each of them lightly on the forehead. He then turned to Lia and said, "We're heading to Drakenspire City soon to watch an auction. We can't chat for too long. Let's catch up sometime later."

"Sure, sounds good. I still have some quests to finish, too. I'll take my leave then." Lia nodded with a smile and waved goodbye.

"Wait a second!" Lenore quickly called out to her, squeezing in one last question. "Are you two gonna team up again later?"

Lia blinked in surprise, then smiled warmly. "I think we will, if we get the chance."

Lenore exchanged a knowing glance with Eira, then piped up again, "You should totally come visit us at our university sometime! It's S City University… Mmmph! Mmmph!"

Kalis shot the two still-ogling Lia a helpless look, then grabbed one by the arm with each hand and dragged them toward the teleportation array.

Lia watched the three of them walk away, then burst out laughing to herself. "So, he's still a student, huh… S City. That's not too far away."
