Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Justice League Vs Goku Part 3

Green Arrow clutched his injured leg, his face flushed crimson with pain as he let out a strangled scream.

"Somebody attend to Arrow now!" Aquaman barked, his voice carrying the authority of a king.

"Aquaman, what's the situation?" Batman emerged from the shadows behind him, fully suited up despite his injuries.

"Batman, you're supposed to be resting. You're in no condition to be up right now," Aquaman replied, concern etching his features.

"Update me, Aquaman." Batman's tone turned icy, brooking no argument.

Aquaman sighed. "Cyborg is alive... barely. He's still unconscious. Green Lantern is only hanging on because of the ring. Green Arrow will pull through, but it'll be rough for him. Diana is still out cold. We lost track of Flash—we're scanning the desert for where he might have crash-landed after the explosion."

He stepped to the monitor and pressed a green button with a sharp *beep*. A massive holographic screen flickered to life.

"Clark," Batman muttered under his breath, eyes fixed on the display.

"As you can see, Batman," Aquaman continued grimly, "Superman is the only one still holding that monster Goku in check. But it won't last. He'll be defeated soon."

"How many League members are still active? We're backing Superman up," Batman stated flatly.

"That's suicide, Batman. Even you know that." A disheveled figure in a rumpled trench coat sauntered into the monitoring room, reeking of smoke and whiskey. John Constantine.

"Constantine. Where have you been?" Batman demanded.

"Fighting off some princes of Hell, mate. Those bastards never tire of getting conned." Constantine dropped into the nearest chair with a weary smirk.

"Can you tell us what we're dealing with here? How do we stop this monster?" Aquaman asked, his gaze intense.

Constantine lit a cigarette with a *click* of his lighter. "He's powerful—*really* powerful. Not invincible, though. We'll need help from the Old Gods and the New ones. Might not be enough, but it's worth a shot."

Batman activated the comms without hesitation. "This is Batman to all Justice League members. If you copy, this is an emergency order: evacuate every city near the Sahara Desert immediately. Relay this to every hero on Earth."

Meanwhile, in the Sahara Desert...

The sun blazed mercilessly overhead as Superman and Goku locked in a brutal test of strength, their hands clasped together, muscles straining.

"Do you plan on destroying this planet, Son Goku?" Superman growled.

"If I have to... then I will," Goku replied, his voice cold and unwavering, eyes deadly serious.

"I won't let you destroy my world." Superman's eyes glowed crimson.

With a roar, he unleashed twin beams of searing heat vision straight into Goku's face.

Caught off-guard with no time to block, Goku was hurled downward. He slammed into the sand with a cataclysmic *BOOM*, the impact fracturing the earth like glass.

"Now the real battle begins, Son Goku." Empowered by the blazing sun, Superman dove after him, firing another relentless heat-vision blast. The air itself howled as the beams tore toward their target.

"Haaaa!" Goku erupted with ki, thrusting one palm forward. A massive dome of blue energy exploded outward, slamming into Superman's attack.

The collision was apocalyptic. Sand fused into molten glass beneath them; the temperature skyrocketed, turning the battlefield into a lethal inferno no human could survive.

Back in the Watchtower...

"Looks like Superman's finally getting serious," Cyborg said weakly as he limped into the monitoring room.

"You're supposed to be resting, Cyborg," Batman warned.

"Same to you, Batman," Cyborg shot back. "But that's not an option right now." He nodded toward the holographic screen showing the escalating clash.

"If this keeps up, they'll destroy the planet—and themselves," Batman said quietly, the weight of it settling over the room.

"I'm heading to consult Poseidon. The old god of the sea might lend his strength." In a swirl of oceanic light, Aquaman vanished.

Constantine knocked back a shot of tequila. "I'm trying to reach some particularly nasty gods, but they're not biting yet."

"Cyborg, with me," Batman ordered. "We're heading to the lab. We need solutions."

Cyborg nodded. The two men raced from the room.

*Swoosh.* The lights dimmed abruptly, shadows thickening until the chamber felt like a tomb.

"Why have you summoned me, Constantine?" A voice like the void itself echoed through the darkness—calm, ancient, and terrible enough to force even the cynical occultist to his knees.
